MSU Student Sets Off Bomb to Celebrate UofM Loss

Title says it all - some kid set off a homemade bomb in a parking structure to celebrate Michigan's loss on Monday. Look, some fires may have been set in AA, but I think this forever sets the bar at a height we will not reach.
Begs to differ
The Unabomber's motivation was sports? That explains so much.
Big feat for their engineering school that it actually went off. Congrats, guys.
is currently recruiting him for High Commander of Missile related things
North Korea's military march looks like the hyenas marching from the Lion King.
Which in turn is directly modeled off of Triumph of the Will**, so the parallel to North Korea is not without surprise.
**That Disney filmmakers were able to do this is probably the single ballsiest move in Disney movie-making history, which is part of the reason why The Lion King is such an outstanding film.
It was actually intended to be a terrarium. Kind of a big fail for their ecology department.
You stay classy, East Lansing.
When are they gonna celebrate the hanging of their Sweet Sixteen banner?
Enough with the topics on these less-thans. I'm sick of it clogging the boards.
I normally agree, but I felt this really pushed the envelope and set a new high watermark for the concepts of "Spartyno!" and "Little Brother."
Unless of course the bomb you are referring to is the Bomb Phenomenon at goodtime charlies!
MSU and student in the same sentence.
Oh MSU has students, you can tell because they're the ones able to color inside the lines.
Congrats! You've been put on the no fly list!
Love,
Department of Homeland Security
At least they're now signing their notes with "Love," instead of "Go Fuck Yourself."
I LOL'd at the concept of a Spartan actually nuking East Lansing in "celebration" of Michigan losing the National Championship, then I considered the ludicrousness of a Spartan actually possessing the acumen to construct a nuclear device and LOL'd harder.
Rule #1 regarding MGoPoints...
(no, it was not me that negged you but I thought about it after your complaint)
You post to voice your opinion, some people agree and some do not. Such is life. Post, follow discussion and move on, points be damned.
Who got the bomb-ass, er, bomb??
Cool, he set off the works bomb. I did that when I was in Jr. High!
because our neighbors in East Lansing appear to be building the foundations of the terrorist division of RCMB
Wow.
Bomb is a strong word, isn't it? They put tin foil in Drain-o which make a lot of sounds but not much else. It's more of a firework. It's still stupid to do it on a campus building and in celebration of a rival's loss but firework would be a more appropriate word.
What the hell is diet rite? Did you mean sprite?
Oh, never heard of it.
I'd put it somewhere between Faygo and RC Cola.
Between Awesome and Fantastic!
For all we know, this could have been the start of a new career. Good thing they nipped it in the bud.
I think we should all just be happy it wasn't nuclear. I mean, that was a HUGE win for Sparty on Monday night.
the rooting harder against a team, than actualy rooting for your team.
You root for Michigan and therefore, by definition, aren't mentally deficient.

It's hilarious going through the one billion MSU threads posted every day here because we can always count on you to have about eight posts in each of them.
is the good kind... not the kind that MSU fans have over Michigan... that kind is different.
It's hard to root for your team when they're not in the game.
If the game had been Indiana v. Alabama, I would have been rooting against Alabama harder than I would be rooting for Michigan.
I'm still laughing thinking about the "You off" tshirts and how ridiculous those look now.
but the shirts could only be worn once! Walking around in a "you off" shirt, I believe, doesn't have the same effect today. I always try to get at least two wears out of all my shirts. I'm just saying it wasn't the best purchase for extensive wear. Would have been better off buying a plain "State" shirt.
I thought "YOU OFF" t-shirts in response to our "WE ON" t-shirts was actually clever. You have to give credit where it is due.
I love college sports.
part of that whole game. Very clever. I just think now it looks absurd because of how the whole season ended and makes me laugh. My husband once wanted a "Save Balloon Boy" shirt. I discouraged that purchase, as it really doesn't stand the test of time.
But lots of cheap t-shirts are like that. There were plenty of things in college I bought shirts for that I rarely wore again but I didn't care because it was cool for the one things I bought it for.
That said - why can't they wear them again? It's still a green and white MSU shirt. Can we not wear UTL shirts anymore? Or those maize shirts from previous seasons? It commemorates a big game, that they won big. At the very least, it's appropriate for every UM-MSU basketball game.
