Boy oh boy Devin looks good...Chesson doesn't look too shabby either...and not bad coverage either.
Badass catch. Amara and Jehu could be a deadly combo this year, nice to finally have some size at the position.
It's more likely that Gallon and Darboh will be a deadly combo with Chesson backing up Gallon. Size isn't everything.
That's an interesting take because prior to this catch most of the buzz seemed to be about Darboh. Do you know something I don't, or you just think Chesson's speed will make him the better reciever? Remember how much Hoke likes his WRs to block.
I just mixed up their names. Managed to fix it before you could post your reply, which makes your post not make sense. Sorry about that.
(I apologize in advance)
My mom (who will be 70 next year) said she wasn't that impressed.
MgoVHS?
I think its more like mgoSlideReel.
way under utilized in todays society...tip of the cap to you sir.
Side note: Devin looks like an absolute beast in these videos you are posting...he could have a Trey Burke type year.
Ugh...man, our corner's can't even cover a fade in the endzone to a freshman WR...do depressing. How is the play of the day?
Uhhh because it was a really nice throw and catch? The fade's nearly impossible to cover when it's executed correctly (such as here). There's a reason why it's run more often than probably any other passing play down around the endzone.
a lot of fades are thrown too close to the boundary, not allowing the receiver any room to get a foot down. Thats' like an extra defender. If your guy has the height advantage, keep it in a couple yards in and increase your odds.
That was a spectacular catch. Props to him. Taylor had him covered about as well as he could.
I suppose sarcasm and irony are lost when posting on the internet without proper non-verbal queues. Sigh...there's goes half of everything I can say about anything...
I even re-read it searching for sarcasm.
Here's a cookie...
FWIW, I didn't neg you.
Throw it up there where only he can get it and watch him make a play! BOOM!
He emphasizes staying humble and working hard! I loved his comment: "I told them when I committed: Coming to Michigan to win a National Championship!"
He’s averaging more than 17 points and 11 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament. Since the field expanded to 64 teams in 1985, only 8 other players have done that while playing at least 4 games:
17 PPG, 11 RPG in Single NCAA Tournament
Since 1985
School
2013 Mitch McGary Michigan
2009 Blake Griffin Oklahoma
2003 Nick Collison Kansas
1998 Antawn Jamison North Carolina
1995 Junior Burrough Virginia
1994 Juwan Howard Michigan
1993 Chris Webber Michigan
1990 Larry Johnson UNLV
1986 David Robinson Navy
<<Minimum 4 games
Some pretty solid company!
1994 is still on the books.
ahhhh please watch your ACLs!! Cease with all this celebrating and jumping around
not Bill Gramatica
I'm sure it means DON'T TOUCH. Interesting that prior to Bellomy's injury, I don't recall seeing any QB's wearing a red jersey. Methinks it has just become a major point of emphasis.
It means both "don't touch" and "check out these sexy abs." I like it for both reasons.
I'm pretty sure the jersey Gardner is wearing is an Oregon State jersey, which is interesting because Oregon State is a Nike school and we're Adidas. Compare the shape of the numbers to those on an actual Oregon State jersey:
I really did like the play in the first clip - Gardner looked good, and Jehu Chesson made 6'3" look like 7'3". I'll definitely take that sort of fight and athleticism going into the season.
As for McGary, his growth as a player has been fun to watch, and really, freshman McGary makes me very excited to think about what sophomore McGary could potenitally look like.
Me want that jersey. Quick, someone call Dave Brandon/MDen.
I think they're hell of alot better than the Red Scare ones.
Hoke always had QBs in regular jerseys until now.
Here's to Chesson bringing back The New Math.
Geez, Devin, don't celebrate so hard with the younger guys. You might accidentally knock one of them out someday.
wow!
Braden still with the first team
It's a quick clip, all you really see is Devin to Chesson (and Taylor in coverage). But in the celebratory aftermath, Gardner, Funchess, and Braden run over to congratulate.
For whatever reason I can't edit the above post, so I'll reply to my own reply. Lewan is starting on the line, he's battling Beyer I believe, and Wilson is running with the 1's at safety.
Good grief
Devin looks amazing. He really has improved his throwing motion a lot since the Hoke staff took over.
Jehu is a good friend of mine. I really hope he has a breakout year.
but if you were buddies with Chesson, you'd find a way to mention it here too.
I'm pretty sure I would.
Death to Tacopants!
