One might argue Michigan is the 2nd most profitable brand in spite of David Brandon, and not because of.  Certainly there was a lot to work with there before he showed up.  One might also argue some things are worth more than money.  That a program could reach a point at which incremental profits don't mean a whole lot.  Lastly, one might argue that plans for improvements to the facilities predate David Brandon.
