No did not enjoy that. Feel terrible we were so close to controling our destiny.
Oh well hopefully PSU gets it done next week.
Maybe Iowa or Minnesota can get the Braskers.
End of day we can only control our games and hopefully we win out. If Braska does the same then great maybe we can both represent the Big Ten well in bowls.
Beat Northwestern next week Blue.

I like Penn State next week.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
November 3rd, 2012 at 9:46 PM ^
It will be easier to pull for Penn State next week than it was to pull for Sparty this week.

The Sandusky incident and the cover up that followed should have gotten the school booted from the Big 10. I still don't believe that their state government hasn't taken any actions against the school. I would be pissed if I lived there and they continued to funnel my tax dollars to a school that chose a pedophile and football over morals and the law of the land.
I would rather lose a shot at Indy then cheer for Pedophile State U.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:28 PM ^
Dantonio threw that game to spite us. It's 4th and 1 and you have Laveon Bell. If you gain a yard the game is over.
Jesus.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:28 PM ^
At some point, they really need to remove the Spartan symbold from the helmet and replace it with something like this:
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
Will anyone finally call out Dant's teams for what they are? Undisciplined assholes.
And now, once again, fucking losers.
November 3rd, 2012 at 8:22 PM ^
How about what Spielman said during the today's game after another MSU PF: "That's not a Mark Dantonio coached team."
Aren't personal fouls the very essence of Mark Dantonio coached teams? Talking heads are such marks for coaches with crusty demeanors.
#DeanOfDiscipline
November 3rd, 2012 at 9:10 PM ^
Yeah, Spielman said the exact same phrase, verbatim, last season when he was calling an MSU game which as you pointed out is hilarious because his teams are the dirtiest in the league and the most prone to bone-headed, heat-of-the-moment penalties.
Spielman just has a hard on for Dantonio because he [Dantonio] is from Zanesvile, OH, hates Michigan and was the DC for OSU's 2002 MNC team.

Do not induce vomiting. Call 911 or get someone to drive you to the hospital. That bleach you just drank has likely dropped your IQ by 40 pts(which I am assuming was the desired effect), but you may yet survive.

November 3rd, 2012 at 7:39 PM ^
Brink? Nope they are smack in the middle of a failure of a season.
It's all a trick by Dantonio if they won 11 games this year how could he still be laying in the weeds. Strategy B@#$%es!

It is not that they lost, but how they lost that makes me happy.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
Do you see anyone here happy they lost? Poking fun at them for sucking ass is not the same thing.
November 3rd, 2012 at 8:00 PM ^
No shit, really?!?
Just a slight hint dude. When you're writing to tell OTHER people that they're dumb, it's best to actually write a proper sentence. Jus' sayin'
I always try to play the "rooting" game with Michigan's best interest in mind -- i.e., rooting for Sparty. I say "try" because I start out with that mindset, but then at some point root against teams like MSU, OSU, and ND. I hate them, I hate their fans, and I hate their coaches. All that hate makes it impossible for me to wish anything upon them losses, even when a win would help Michigan. I know that's irrational, but I know they do the same to us, so fuck them.

PITT JUST GOT ITS PRAYERS ANSWERED!!! ND fumble on the 1 inch line going in for a TD in 2nd OT.....
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:37 PM ^
aaaaand pitt missed a game winning field goal. football gods want me to throw myself out the window tonight.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:39 PM ^
you got me before the edit...Fuck Pitt man. How do you miss that. And The running back cutting away from the middle of the field towards the hash on 3rd down. Do these guys even think when they play?
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:41 PM ^
That's why Pitts 4-4
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:47 PM ^
I know this is wrong but I'm pulling for Notre Dame, because the more non-SEC options for the BCSCG, the better.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
I can't do it...I hate ND more than MSU. I will never root for ND.
...But...I understand your point and agree with trying to minimize the SEC centricity of NCAA football, but I don't see that happening without truly enforcing the rules
November 3rd, 2012 at 8:45 PM ^
Oregon and Kansas State already exist as non-SEC options. That's enough.
November 3rd, 2012 at 9:21 PM ^
Either of which could lose at any time. The more non-SEC options, the better; if at all possible it'd be nice to have a final entirely outside the SEC.
November 4th, 2012 at 10:50 AM ^
OK, but here's the other thing: ND regularly competes against us for a lot of recruits. None of the other contenders do that often. Ergo, I'm happy if they suck, hard.
(Also, ND is dangerously close to us in the all-time winning percentage standings. We've got to protect that one.)

"When does basketball season start?"
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:38 PM ^
has been really lucky most of the season.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:39 PM ^
Sparty being Sparty. Ugh.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:42 PM ^
is there any way this game could have just been the ultimate troll by sparty?
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:42 PM ^
So, Pitt can nail 40+ yarders, but cannot win with a 30 yarder. Way to go boys.
Only way Pitt wins is if ND shoots themselves in the foot again.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
Does this game at least remove all fear of ND going to NC?
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:48 PM ^
not until Oregon and Bama are 12-0
November 3rd, 2012 at 9:24 PM ^
It damn well better. There is no way they deserve to play for a MNC. ND has so many close, lucky wins this year it makes me nauseated. The ONLY solace I take re: ND is that teams with that many close wins in a season usually fall down hard the next. Auburn had 7 close wins in 2010 and then lost 5 games in 2011.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:43 PM ^
MSU loses at least one game a year with boneheaded personal fouls. I also don't see how they don't go for it on 4th down there - use your RB who is averaging 5.5 ypc and get that!
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:45 PM ^
Will have to wait another week to get BIG tickets. Sigh.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:47 PM ^
NBC announcer just called Notre Dame a "team of destiny."
Seriously. Ridiculous.
November 3rd, 2012 at 8:10 PM ^
It's their destiny to watch Alabama-Oregon in the NC game, just like the rest of us.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:48 PM ^
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:54 PM ^
lol... Yeah, I think it was Chris Spielman who said that. I literally yelled at the TV, "Actually Chris, that's textbook Mark Dantonio football!"

November 3rd, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
No program poops inside the hearts of its fans like the Michigan State Spartans.
November 3rd, 2012 at 7:53 PM ^
I sympathize mildly with Sparty. That was one of the worst instances of a phantom pass interference call I have ever seen. Big Ten officiating has been horrible this year.
