of how good Michigan run defense has gotten...compare the MSU rush defense effort vs Nebraska to how Michigan did...
November 3rd, 2012 at 5:43 PM ^
We know Nebraska isn't that good. We were moving the ball fine until Denard got hurt. Then they loded the box against a RS Freshman.
November 3rd, 2012 at 6:06 PM ^
I mean no disrespect to Bellomy, though. That's a tough situation to ask of a RS freshman with no real game experience. We have no way of knowing if Gardner would have fared any better.

After a terrible throw by Scheelhaase for another INT, there was Beckman on that sideline interference call: "I might remind you that there is nothing that says that GAs cannot be extra defenders."
In the first half, Scheelhaase has put on a clinic for east-west running.
November 3rd, 2012 at 5:27 PM ^
Friendly reminder that b/c of the delay this game is playing while everyone else is at the half. It's on BTN

I don't understand... why can State stop Denard but not Martinez?!
November 3rd, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
I'd say it's the offense. Nebraska has better weapons that the D needs to be aware of. They have a great set of receivers. They have a good runningback. The presence of these players on the field makes it tougher for the Spartans D to focus solely on Martinez. With Michigan, you crowd the box. If not Denard, it's the running backs, who have not played very well on the whole.

football will be completely non-contact. All players will play in zorb balls to prevent any and all injuries. Contacting another players zorb ball with too much velocity will result in a 40 yard penalty and a season disqualification for said player

Scheelhaase drops back about seven or eight yards and throws a short pass for a loss, and then they run it to the original LOS, and then he gets sacked for a loss of another 10 yards. This drive is basically Illinois' entire season in a moving installation piece.

I think PSU's crushing of Purdue is the nail for Hope. Any views on likely replacements?
IU has been in the redzone all day and finally got a touchdown after a review. 14-10 Iowa now.
November 3rd, 2012 at 5:59 PM ^
Might as well just institute a halo rule for receivers the way this is going

Pitt scores, opens lead to 17-6 in the 3rd quarter.
Please Pitt, keep the lead.

Now i get MSU fans.. It would suck to root for that team, i feel guilty wishing they complete the passes and stuff, yet they are always shooting themselves in the foot with stupid flags. Gotta be so frustrating to actually wish they win every game.
It's funny how they keep saying it doesn't look like a Dantonio coached team week in and week out when they go mad and start collecting personal fouls.

Hey, remember when Purdue was gonna win the division or maybe evn the B1G?!?!
Ummm, uh, well. Hmmm. Looks like they're gonna be 0-5 tonight.

A Michigan win. A Nebraska loss. A ND loss.
PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
I also want Ohio to keep winning so when we beat them at the end of the year we'll have a victory over a top 10 team on the road!
After last weekend, PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN!

A little while ago, Illinois did get aggressive and go for the 2-point conversion to cut their deficit to 24.
The Buckeyes are edging into Illini territory up 38-14, and Braxton Miller managed to elude the Illinois defense to convert on 3rd and 6, but then, then the Illini were distracted by the butterfly flying lazily across the field.
Oh, and now it is 45-13 Buckeyes after a nice rush by Corey Brown through light coverage.
