OSU QB Cardale Jones Twitter hilarity
October 5th, 2012 at 7:14 PM ^
It's open book, which means he can read it ... Oh, okay. I get it ....
October 5th, 2012 at 2:11 PM ^
What an idiot. Even if 99.99% of players are thinking the same thing, don't tweet it for the world to see. Nice work mentoring your kids, Urban. Way to recognize the ones that might need some extra help.
October 5th, 2012 at 2:17 PM ^
In High School a kid in History Class asked "how could a shot be heard all around the world?" Sounds like Cardale.

I dont even know what to say to this
October 5th, 2012 at 2:47 PM ^
Cardale, I'm sure a man with your qualifications would have no trouble finding a top flight job in the housekeeping or food service industry.
October 5th, 2012 at 3:39 PM ^
You gonna answer that?
October 8th, 2012 at 4:00 PM ^
Solid use of a Ghostbusters quote.
October 5th, 2012 at 2:54 PM ^
Hey, I remember kind of thinking that same thought one time.
...somewhere around 1st grade, I think.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:37 AM ^
I know right!? All I wanna do is play tag, ring a round the rosie and drink my juice box. And they expect me to learn how to read and do math and stuff? What're they thinking?
October 5th, 2012 at 3:09 PM ^
Apparently he's not just removed the tweet, he's deleted his whole twitter account now. There is a pretty funny parody one up already though https://twitter.com/cardalejones10

I already mentioned his profile was deleted.

Oh man that is funny. I laughed especially hard at this one:
I love Friday, it means no class tomorrow. I also love Sunday and Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday.

...that the only day he doesn't love is Saturday--game day. I bet Urban loved that one.
October 6th, 2012 at 12:31 PM ^
Pretty good stuff. Especially the newest couple of tweets about holding the clipboard like a boss.
October 5th, 2012 at 3:13 PM ^
To his defense, last summer he had a weekend off and received his Chiropractor certificate, so he is pretty much set.

Tate Forcier has some guys up in C-Land you TOTALLY have to meet.

Too good to be true.
I mean, this is pure gold. Pure. Gold.

I have sympathy for this kid because he is so stupid. He probably has not attended or learned anything in a class since he started playing organized football in middle school.
October 5th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
I don't. Fuck Ohio.

My guess is because he's the third best QB on their team.
October 5th, 2012 at 4:28 PM ^
And considering his attitude, I don't ever see him elevating beyond that status. Not that it matters much to us.
October 5th, 2012 at 10:25 PM ^
Not a great tweet but give the kid a break and stop cyber stalking these young men.
I am just surprised one might actually feel like they have to go to class at osu. I thought it was so far from an osu student's mind that it was a non issue.

Everybody hates classes, kills people, etc....
October 5th, 2012 at 5:02 PM ^
And what's the deal with homework? You're not working on your home.
October 5th, 2012 at 10:54 PM ^
Next it'll be... practice?! We be talking about practice!
October 5th, 2012 at 5:05 PM ^
This is serious stuff. If he doesn't go to class, how will he ever learn to properly appreciate music. He could be unaware of the existance of AIDS. And his golf score will definitely suffer. Get yourself to class young man.

It's comments like these that make me wish there wasn't a limit on the number of years before a player can declare for the draft. So many of these kids have this attitude, not just Cardale Jones. If you don't want to be in school, leave! Lots of kids wish they were at that school, especially for free!

I know I'll sound like an old fogey here, but this is why I think all college students need to be sat down and shown just how damaging social media can be if you don't understand its scope. I was in college right before Facebook really started to take hold (back when AIM was the king of online discourse), and I'd shudder to think how dumb every one of my classmates would sound if people could broadcast their inner idiocy to everyone.

that no one told him: to "Playskool" is to do more than play!
I guess we all advance at our own pace. And that's.... okay.
October 5th, 2012 at 11:35 PM ^
Its people like this I can't stand that go to OSU. They take a scholarship and the gift of learning away from a student who would normally want to learn and give it to people like Jones who don't care.... I honestly think Meyer needs to make an example of some of his players that this type of behavior is unacceptable. Chances are he won't because he is a coward. Is it that hard to go to class and play football? If these players need help, they can go to Younkin Success Center and get help from the tutors for the athletes. SMH.

The difference is that you might have a future in journalism/pre-law.
Jones doesn't have a future in football; he needs a backup plan.

I thought Urban banned Ohio players from posting on Twitter?
Of course at one point they banned reporters from using it at his press conferences and the very next day rescinded that decision.

Cardale Jones is officially my favorite ohio state football player of all time.
