LTT plans to enroll early, Jake Butt unsure.
Just saw this twitter exchange between Logan Tuley-Tillman and Jake Butt. Figured it was thread worthy. For the twitter impaired, here's a transcript of what was said:
Jake: Haven't been up for a practice yet, is this your first?
LTT: yeah, I wish I could practice though
Jake: Soon enough bro, you gonna graduate early you think?
LTT: yeah I am, are you?
Jake: (I don't know) yet.
They then proceeded to discuss dorms and other stuff. I know some of you are opposed to twitter usage of athletes, and I agree for the most part. However twitter gives you a whole new perspective on the life of a student athlete, in a way the media doesn't portray them. Sure it has its advantages and disadvantages, but twitter breaks news almost daily now.

It's always nice for recruits to talk to one another, I feel like it may deter some from possibly decommitting because they've built bonds with their fellow recruits.
Who am I to judge?
Well, for one, I'm younger than them.
Wow, are you even in high school yet? I went back up to the original post. You write at an impressive level.

That's because he's been on MGoBlog for a year and a half.
This is actually a valid point, at least for me. I picked up a lot of satirical writing skills, snarkiness, and "personable-ness" in terms of my writing from reading and (not so much anymore) posting.
Woohoo for the average M fan being intelligent!
If you're still in high school, it's not creepy at all. These are your peers.
David Dawson also plans to EE.
also plans to EE.
a quick googling didn't have any obvious answers to this, and since it's late and I've had a few drinks, I'll just throw this question out there:
is the rule that only 3 recruits can EE, or is it just that max 3 EEers can count towards the previous year's scholarship count?
In the B1G you can only backtrack 3 scholarships to the previous class. That's why the limit for any recruiting class is 28 scholarships instead of 25. This was discussed not too long ago, and what I think we agreed on was that you can have like 8 EE's in one class.
Seven kids enrolled early for the 2009 class - Campbell, Forcier, Hawthorne, Emilien, and Smith are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Yikes. That group's collective success on the field and in the classrooms isn't exactly a ringing endorsement for early enrollment now is it..
Eight of the 22 recruits in the 2009 class have already washed out. It wasn't a great class overall.
I didn't remember there were also 7 early enrollees in 2010:
Devin Gardner
Austin White
Stephen Hopkins
Ricardo Miller
Jeremy Jackson
Jerald Robinson
Christian Pace

JG gives us the list from 2009
http://mgoblog.com/diaries/barwis-effect-7-early-enrollees
The early enrollees: Tate Forcier - 6'1", 187 lbs then, 188 now. Big Will - 6'5", 330 lbs then, 318 now. Brandin Hawthorne - 6'0", 195 lbs then, 198 now. Vladimir Emilien - 6'1", 213 lbs then, 198 now. Mike Jones - 6'2", 202 lbs then, 203 now. Vincent Smith - 5'6", 158 lbs then, 168 now. And, the amazing body transformation winner: Anthony LaLota - 6'4", 235 lbs then, 256 now. Barwis has done wonders with BWC, Emilien, LaLota and Smith in 7 months. Perhaps LaLota will be able to contribute if needed? I hope he's not needed, but he's put on weight.
I completely take back my earlier comment about that group. One player...and one player alone more than makes up for any failings from the others and we all know who that very, very special player is.
MIKE JONES!

Who?
kids these days...
The tandem may bring him back. Where in the NFL will he be able to ride the twosy so freely?
March 31st, 2012 at 11:07 AM ^
The football players there ride kids bikes to and from practice all the time during training camp. I'm sure some kid would break out his parent's twosy to get a 1st round pick left tackle on his bike.
When you're in South America, the MGOAds are in espanol. I can't read them, so money not well spent by these advertisers.
Is Shane planning to enroll early?
What makes you think he is undervalued? Yes he will have been in the system, but he was a guy we stoled from Purdue who didn't have a very impressive offer list and was a low three star. Shane is highly rated and his top two offers as a sophomore were better than Bellomy's until Michigan came calling.

stoled huh
Co-Signed! Freshmen QB's starting for Michigan are almost always a complete disaster and need to be avoided at all costs!
Sincerely,
Ricky Leach & Chad Henne
That's a good point, but it remains to be seen whether we've got the second coming of Braylon to go up and get those balls Morris might be lofting to Tacopants from time to time. Henne had some serious help his freshman year.

yeah, his name is devin gardner, duh

Even if Shane wouldn't be a complete disaster as a freshman, wouldn't you rather have 5th year senior Shane than true freshman Shane? Especially if the QB playing instead of freshman Shane is a senior/redshirt junior?
Judging from the early enrollees in recent years, it's unlikely that these kids will decommit (although Shavodrick Beaver did) . . . but there are also a pretty high number of washouts (Emilien, Lalota, Forcier, White, etc.).
First of all, my name is also Logan so this guy is repping the SHIT out of my name! Secondly, Shane is a good player. I know that he has his flaws and imperfections but overall he can play the game of football really well. But let's talk about the success of Brady Hoke this season. He knows how to coach sports.
Jake is strongly thinking about enrolling early. Wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.
