UM fans never cease to amaze me.Only 3,000 more!
We may have had some rough news lately but to see that we have "raised" almost $12,000 in one day to help Brian and all the other writers is awesome! I really enjoyed the past HTTV so was glad to send some money to try and help out some. Lets try and get to that $20,000 before the end of next week! Thanks to all that helped out so far and if you have never ordered HTTV before THIS is the year to do it!! Go Blue!!
Edit: Unreal! there is a real chance to get to $20,000 tonight! I hope this shows Brian and everyone that is apart of this blog what it means to us fans.

Publish blog previews and anything else that comes their way.
This is a perfect opportunity ladies/ gentlemen.

Finally!
March 21st, 2012 at 10:41 PM ^
...on my phone and I planned to donate to bump it over the top. By the time I got to a computer and logged in it was already hundreds of dollars over the goal. Now, the only thing I want to see is someone go in on the birthday party promise. Anyone want to go in on it together?
March 21st, 2012 at 10:44 PM ^
Let's remember, 20,000 is only 2/3 of the production costs. If people keep giving we can cover all of it- let's hope we keep going past $21K (as of now)!

Hey Brian, next time give us a harder challenge. This was child's play.
March 21st, 2012 at 10:46 PM ^
Apparently everyone reading this blog is rich. Or half the people who read this blog today gave $1
March 21st, 2012 at 10:50 PM ^
The average donation is $38, so take what you want from it, but I think it's fairly reasonable (considering you're getting at least a 15 dollar magazine with your donation).
March 21st, 2012 at 10:47 PM ^
I want the magazine to be in 3D this year.

Is it legal to funnel the excess into a Trey Burke Fund?

Maurice Clarett says no FWIW

...Sure! Why not? I came back!
(*kidding, of course! But just to be sure, do not do this. It is against the rules. While this may be ok at OSU, we would never mention it or accuse them of such shenanigans, even in a joking or oblique manner!*)

One day of bad news (some of which is, some of which is verrrry speculatory and probable to not happen) and everyone's ready to give away money!
I know, I know, it's nothing like that at all. Congratulations though, everyone, way to chip in and help out. I know I personally didn't give away a fortune by any means but a few extra bucks I could spare. Can't wait till June (and even a month from now to see how much support is actually given!).

Congrats to Brian and the rest of the MGoBlog community for eclipsing the requested amount in one day. It's scary how quickly this community was able to generate over $22k in funds. With the leftover funds, Brian can probably but out Rosenberg's press seat for Ace and banish that jerk back to Drew Sharpland!

Funding muppets anyone?
March 21st, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
Good lord. Got back from Dominick's just a little while ago and saw the total was already over the goal. I'm, um, speechless, which doesn't happen often. Thanks, everyone.
(Yes, I've had a little sangria. But I'm pretty sure I'd still find this amazing if I was 100% sober.)
(Also, if anyone wants to start a "give Ace an awesome bonus" Kickstarter, I won't stop you.)

Send me some Constant Buzz and we'll talk.

I will if you send me a meatball sub and a quart of Oberon in one of those glass jugs.
I loved being a drunk degenerate @ Dominicks...good times, good times.

and we'll talk.
Edit: that was supposed to be funny, but I posted it and then thought, aw, man, that's mean. So now I will post this disclaimer to make it neither funny nor mean: it was supposed to be a joke. You do great work, too.
TomVH is legend, but Ace does damn fine work, and we're thrilled to have him.

Brian better take that shit down before it goes over 30k and people start asking for raises.

Looks like you are a post too late haha
March 21st, 2012 at 11:12 PM ^
how many of us wish we'd emailed offering a substantial part of the extra 10k needed once he got to 20 in exchange for a small stake in any profits?

Just hit 600 backers!
March 21st, 2012 at 11:11 PM ^
I used to think "giving 110%" was a stupid and impossible thing. Now I know that people who talked about giving 110% were just being lazy.
(Also, the posbang thread has been fixed. You may resume your banging here, or there. Or shit, both. When in Rome...)
March 21st, 2012 at 11:13 PM ^
Now I'm just glad that I was among the first 200 backers.
Amazing work everyone!

I'd donate another $50 for a t-shirt where Brian is on the front in his Pryor jersey.
March 21st, 2012 at 11:39 PM ^
Lets try and get it past 30K soon. Brian did say 20K is only about 2/3 of the total expenses, so they would probably still be losing money at 20K.

About to hit $25k. Wow. When I logged in earlier today it was at $6k or something. Now I look again and this. And this is just from the people that have logged on today and read what was going on. Nice job, everyone.
