Sam Grant to Oklahoma
St. Edward TE Sam Grant switched commitment from Boston College to Oklahoma @ wearesteds @ soonerfootball # PDvarsity
Let the meltdown on this board continue...

Don't.

Now that Grant is committed to OU, it would make me smile if Michigan went after Ryan Morris - 6'6'', 240 TE, currently committed to Purdue.
There's always Hope - and when there's Hope, we can probably steal a recruit if we need to.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:56 AM ^
can i get some snakeoil?
January 30th, 2012 at 12:06 PM ^
Yeah It will be as easy as taking candy from a baby
January 30th, 2012 at 1:17 PM ^
Nobody plays Danny for a fool... again!
He's watching.... and sez "I see you Brady!! I see you!!!
January 30th, 2012 at 11:51 AM ^
That some current commits may send their LOIs somewhere else Wednesday? Seems like ever since Caleb decommitted, we can't catch a break...
January 30th, 2012 at 11:56 AM ^
Perhaps Dantonio and the gang are all pulling a fast one on us and all of our national recruits will sign to MSU?
January 30th, 2012 at 11:51 AM ^
Okay, I agree that people react a bit too strongly to this...but, WOW, I don't think the most cynical of UM fans saw an 0-4 long weekend coming on.
It is looking pretty imporant that we pull one of the Diamond/Muller combo if not both. Here is to hoping for some Wednesday flips/surprises. Feed some snakes into the press....we need some oil!
January 30th, 2012 at 11:52 AM ^
This is kinda becoming funny now.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:55 AM ^
Did we have a Schadenfreude appointment this weekend that we forgot about? Rough stretch, man, rought stretch.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:52 AM ^
Ron Thompson and Aaron Burbridge?
January 30th, 2012 at 11:53 AM ^
Wow, this really really sucks!
January 30th, 2012 at 11:54 AM ^
It's starting to get depressing to read these threads. I really hope NSD has some nice surprises and Diamond goes blue this friday.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:55 AM ^
But according to twitter, @mgoblogisfreakingout is reporting that all 4 and 5 star players currently committed to Michigan are decommitting on signing day. Take it FWIW but it seems legit.

Settle down everybody.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:55 AM ^
This is crazy. 0 -4 tho.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:55 AM ^
We better be going after Ron Thompson. I've always had a gut feeling he would come back in the picture
January 30th, 2012 at 11:56 AM ^
Are recruits scared off by the guys we already have or is this just a matter of getting in too late? This one puzzles me because the kid is from Ohio, friends with Kalis, and would have a much friendlier depth chart at Mich. Also, the fact that he previously committed to BC means it likely isn't a weather thing. Oh well, on to the next one.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:56 AM ^
What a horrible way to "finish" this class. Jesus, you would think with an 11-2 record it would be easier to get recruits, apparently Hoke needs to suck to lure kids here. What a fucking joke.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
Pee Wee.... Mags..kalis... Many more.
Serenity now.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:02 PM ^
Which has no bearing on how shitty of a close to this class we have had.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
who you get does.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:08 PM ^
Right. I never said anything negative about the kids who are currently committed. I just said that we cant get a recruit right now to save our life. It is a shitty close to the class.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:10 PM ^
It works wonders.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:08 PM ^
Is laughable.
my 8 year old daughters cry less then some of the people absolutely freaking out.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:11 PM ^
She's probably not 0 - 4 on making new friends.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:16 PM ^
they know you win some and you loose some..and they know Michigan football is awesome, OSU is a bunch of cheaters..that M football has been around for years, and that they will be on top again soon.
January 30th, 2012 at 1:24 PM ^
for the downvote.
Sorry I'm not freaking out enough for your liking.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:58 AM ^
haha I cant do anything but laugh at this point. This is ridiculous. Ive never seen a recruitng class gain so much momentum in the beginning and then completely falter at the end. Oh well, still a top ten class, I guess.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
Isn't part of this 0 for 4 letdown, CREATED by us? I mean, with all the early success, that we need to fill the void and tend to mentally reach of recruiting information.... so the media hacks then follow and report these recruits are higher on us than they really are...a domino effect, but then the final domino falls and everyone is left none the wiser.
I for one am hoping that these guys all didn't commit because there will be better players who flip, in the coming days, to us.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:57 AM ^
If Diamond committs, he'll be a minor hero here.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:57 AM ^
Some of you guys are worse than the suicide watch on my ND hangout. We'll both have top10 classes, nothing to be concerned about.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:58 AM ^
January 30th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
LOL. That's the only thing I have to say about these last few days of recruiting.

Just LOL.

I remember mgoblog predicting most of these guys to michigan and I didn't feel good about that.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
That's because this place is full of homers.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:01 PM ^
but Sam Grant committing to Oklahoma is a legitimate surprise.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
This is the only surprise so far, and a mild one at that. With Kalis in the fold, it was pretty clear that Grant's decision was not the foregone conclusion many of us thought it would be. Otherwise, it wouldn't have taken as long.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:05 PM ^
State of Ohio guys were expecting him to go Michigan as well. This one is a surprise. Garnett, Reeves, and Kozan were not.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:29 PM ^
State of Ohio guys are dumb. If you don't agree, I refer you to the third word in the previous sentence.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:05 PM ^
Would have been easy money.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
we're getting a great recruiting class. but there's no denying that finishing like this is going to leave a bitter taste.
January 30th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
I'm 4 for 4. But guess what, because I actually didn't expect to be right on ALL of my guesses, I'm going to switch my last 4. Diamond to Michigan. Muller to Michigan. Henry to Michigan. Diggs to Michigan.
This is not flamebait I swear.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
where did diggs come from ???
January 30th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
What. the. fuck.
I'm going to explode. None of this don't worry bullshit. Strikeout after strikeout down the stetch is mortifying. With the time they have had to focus on a select few, there is no excuse for this.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:09 PM ^
I'm sorry, I'm calm now. I'm also very happy with the start to this class. Not the finish. Still a top ten class.
January 30th, 2012 at 5:30 PM ^
It will all be ok. Freakish 24 hours, but keep your perspective, young man.
January 30th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
You're overreacting, but you do make a good point that it's a little disconcerting that we missed out on the select few guys that we actually zeroed in on down the stretch.
A lot of these guys were commit-switchers or guys from far away lands, so it makes sense. Once we start losing our top targets from the Midwest region, then we can start using words like "mortifying" and "no excuse." We just need to keep Michigan nailed down.
... Wait, top 2013 Michigan recruit Steve Elmer already signed with Notre Dame?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
January 30th, 2012 at 12:13 PM ^
That was me venting. The reason the start to this class was so great was partly because we were taking Ohio recruits, flipping OSU recruits, and dominating Big Ten recruiting. I'm upset because we started this class with an A+. Not so sure how we will finish. We pretty much had five full months to focus on select recruits and are getting none of them. In fact, we've lost two commitments which didn't seem like a big deal. They are starting to seem like a huge deal.
I know we will probably be fine, but in order to compete with OSU and compete for B1G titles and National Championsips, this is the stuff that makes the biggest difference. It's not how you start. It's how you finish. Ohio State is finishing. And it royally pisses me off.
