The funny part is if someone like Purdue did this helmet twisting thug punching action vs. say a team like Minesota Purdue's player would get the same suspension, they aren't looking out for Michigan.

Don't you think the MSU guys should be saying "Bullshit suspension, but we still beat Wisconsin without him so let's fucking celebrate." ???

This is like fouling a guy on his last second shot, and then continue bitching even after he missed the free throws. He got suspended, you won anyway, stop bitching about it.

This is funny to me for two reasons:

1) The idea that we're a "protected team" would make a lot more sense if the Big Ten didn't suspend one of our players for throwing a punch TWO YEARS AGO.

2) It turns out MSU had been whining about Lewan for the entire game. Guess they're not so tough.

IMO, this is really easy - you can't throw a punch on a football field, especially after the whistle blows. The idea that this was "part of the play" and that Ghoulston "didn't intend to injure Lewan because he had a facemask on" is ridiculous on its face. As is the idea that this is some grand conpiracy by the Big Ten to return Michigan to relevancy (Ghoulston's suspension did nothing for us).

Dude lost control during a heated game and got punished. Happens all the time. Fucking deal with it, MSU.

You could in theory arrange it so the hotel the visting team was staying at had no power and thus no hot water, food, etc, right? I mean since we're all bored here?

Or at least teach me how to rewire my meter so my gas bill is my landlord's problem? I'd love a winter of sitting around in my shorts while the heat is set at 83.

Truth be told, the circuits where visiting teams generally stay at are problematic ones, mainly due to equipment age (the innerds of a 45 year-old underground transformer are a high voltage Gordian knot).

As for the gas meter, I know little of MichCon's ways. I am not allowed to comment on electric meters for various reasons. LOL.

Cool, one more random offtopic.

As I kayaker I've heard all kinds of rumors about he various dams around Ann Arbor producing power. Some people claim the hydroequipment is removed. Others claim they're actively producing power. I've also heard weird theories about how they're only online when the price of a KW hour makes it worthwhile and off the rest of the time. Do you know if dams with the potential to produce hydro are active or not?

Barton Dam definitely does and has for many years. We actually used to own it.

A little closer to where I actually live, French Landing (on the Huron River near Haggerty Road) was actually an Edison substation in dam form before 1968 when development in the Belleville-Romulus area supported a conventional 40kV station.

There has been talk for some time about installing hydroelectric generation at Argo and Geddes dams. Argo might come sooner rather than later - there is a big remediation project near the old MichCon Broadway site (the service center was demolished) which will have both banks of the Huron cleaned up by summer of next year. We're actually looking to get rid of that substation - those who live on the north side will thank us for that one.

Anyhow, Barton is the only one I know of in Washtenaw County that actively produces electricity, and we buy it every month, same as we do for people who have solar generation.

They are just crying. I don't know why, when they beat Wisconsin. Lewan has a brain, Gholston doesn't. That's it.

Can't wait till we crush them next year. They lose too much to be good next season.

About two weeks ago I went to the grocery store. I bought grociers from the grocery store. I do this about every 2 weeks on a regular basis, but since it happened two weeks ago I just HAD to tell you guys about. I felt this was just as relevant as the OP. Discuss.

He's a blind Spartan homer. And we're Michigan homers. This issue is nearly two weeks dead now. Who. Fucking. Cares.

In the little part I did read, I found it quite funny that he spelled several persons' names differently at least twice. Oh, and that MSU had 37 instances of Lewan grabbing face masks because of HD video from a coach's cam, and being pissed that the refs didn't call it. All I can do is laugh, because, seriously? Thirty-seven instances? Hahahahahahaha. And I imagine that Sparty was being a bunch of perfect little angels. Oh wait...

Obviously I am not going to read a long post about whining, BUT...

1. You said it is important for us to hear about this, and

2. You say you see a rule change coming.

What do you mean? As far as I can glean, this is the MSU AD complainging about the B10 procedure. How is that important for us to know or indicative of a rule change?

I'll hang up and listen.

UMfan21

I'll keep it short:

1. Throwing a punch should always warrant a one game suspension. There is no gray area, it's uncalled for. Period.

2. I love the lengths Spartans go to defend him, yet no one mentions the Denard twist which was far more shocking and 100% unprovoked.

Bottom line: Spartan fans be thankful he only got 1 game, and that he didn't hurt anyone. Time to move on.

TL;DR

Seriously, that was longer than essays I've seen turned in for school before. I mean c'mon, what does it matter? YOU JUST BEAT THE 5th RANKED TEAM IN THE COUNTRY! Just let shit go already, Tom will be back for this weekend, and by the end of October the whole country will have forgotten about it

Thanks for making me angar!

Honestly, this guy is a turd. Next.

In the comments I actually did see someone try to defend the helmet twist. He said it "wasn't as bad as it looked and that if "Dennard" (who?) wore a proper helmet, it wouldn't have looked so bad.

What a bunch of frickin babies.

We just pounded the crap out of you, physically beat you down, and you went and cried "Thuggery! ATTEMPT OF MURDER!"

Then when we try to complain about your dirty play, you say "LOLZ STOP CRYING"? Does your hypocrisy know no boundaries?

Lulz. The vast majority of posters here acknowledge the gridiron ass-kicking MSU handed us, so maybe you call dial back the outrage a tad. Yeah, MSU won via better play. Agreed.

Then there was the matter of unsportsmanlike behavior. UM fans didn't make it up as an excuse for the loss. But it happened, and it raised their ire just like it raises yours when crap happens to your players. In this case, the B1G agreed it happened. Even some of the MSU coaching staff admits it--heck, they are proud of it. So it's super cute to make like we are inventing it as a crybaby excuse, but that's even more far-fetched than the thing I just read in the OP.

the corner back and wide receiver battles, I would assume their referring to the heated rivalry games of osu and um's past, and expect the same type of lead way as The Game. I guess they forget that they're just Michigan St aka Little Brother and no matter how many little giants and rocket plays they use, they will never be equal.

This was forwarded to me by a Sparty in my family. I told him the the punch was inconsequential compared to the neck twist. His response was that plays like that (the twist) occur all the time and it was being overblown. Are we overreacting or are they truly d-bags like their coaches.

from what I can guage. Not super-well written. If the author can account for why one of our guys got suspended only a year ago and for Gholston's head-twist of Denard then let's have a conversation. Oh, and rules; yeah, splain us why you make rules if you don't mean to follow them. (Don't want that ref he quotes adjudicating my games, thanks!)

MSU is never gonna be Michigan. We're the 15th best u in the world and they're dead last, B1G. They go out of their way to find a chip to put on their shoulders. I don't see how that ever goes away.

Narduzzi's comments were asinine and--to this reader--admonishment is a nice stiff term of reproval. Next time they get out their thesaurus, hopefully they'll hit on something more apropos.

I do think they are right to distance themselves from the New Thug U image that--for a minute there--they seemed intent on embracing. It wasn't going to be a winner for them down the line.
