Awesome levels of fail in this post.
Confusing title.
Link that I have to copy / paste myself.
Leading summary of said link.

I'm on my phone, file a formal complaint with my secretary.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:29 PM ^
Because this story was so important you had to post it on your phone?
August 11th, 2011 at 1:40 PM ^
I think it applies to this post.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
I was on my phone at lunch, and I posted something that I thought the community would enjoy. Sorry that you had to copy&paste, it will haunt me for the rest of my days.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:46 PM ^
Most quality haunting takes place at night.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
I think your problem is that the community doesn't enjoy. This is a worthless post. Smart-ass responses don't help you either.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
It's not a worthless post, I think it's safe to say that quite a few people found it interesting. Second, Haters gonna hate. Lastly, I didn't give a smart ass response, until I was given one first.

Taters gonna Tate

This kind of elitist reaction by Beavis is what makes me keep migrating away from mgoblog more and more. I agree with you Wolverine - it was interesting to see and I don't think it is a big deal to have to copy and paste the link and Beavis can suck it if he doesn't want to take the extra five seconds to copy and paste.
I don't care if his response will be, "I'm just having fun," it isn't funny

Put your secretary on, since you share a phone with him/her......

I don't understand Twitter.
August 11th, 2011 at 4:04 PM ^
Don't worry it won't last much longer.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
I obtained no life meaning from this post. That is flagrant false advertising.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:30 PM ^
"On July 16, Pike wrote, 'I can tell you're an Alabama fan cause you have no educational skills. It's FAMILY not fambly . . . Something only AU knows about.'"
Oh, that is cringe-worthy.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:37 PM ^
What's the over/under on how many stupid things he writes on his eye black?
August 11th, 2011 at 1:44 PM ^
In one game or over the course of the season?
August 11th, 2011 at 2:47 PM ^
"Everybody posts stupid shit on Twitter, writes stupid shit on their eye black, talks shit about you, talks shit about me, whatever. I just feel like people need to give him a chance."
August 11th, 2011 at 1:47 PM ^
...control with those tweets. #notsmart
This is an interesting one:
On July 16, in a reply to Baron Flenory Jr., his 7-on-7 coach, Pike wrote, "I'd like to be referred to as a mixture of Tim Tebow and Big Ben"
Sounds sacriligeous on some level.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:54 PM ^
I'm more interested that Baron Flenory is his 7-on-7 coach. I hadn't known that. I'd never complain if we never took any kids associated with Baron Flenory.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:01 PM ^
Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but incoming TE Chris Barnett had some ties to Flenory, although there seems to be nothing improper about their relationship...

Every major program in college football has recruited guys that play/played on the south florida express 7 on 7. Demar Dorsey played for them also.

7 on 7, mentors, handlers, etc are sad reality to big time college football. Some of these guys may have the kids best interest at heart and others are just leeching off of them.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
That mixture is likely to create some interesting moral dilemmas. Circumcising and proselytizing one day, slapping asses and bonging beers the next.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:56 PM ^
17 year old kid says something stupid. Water is wet. More news at 11.
August 11th, 2011 at 1:57 PM ^
Give him a break, he's just a kid and excited about his school and new rivalry. Wasn't everyone on this board laughing and praising everything Strobel and Kalis said on Dunn's facebook feed last week? I know, I know, our recruits did it with more class, but basically the same thing.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:06 PM ^
Yeah but they're both kids from Ohio that Ohio went after hard. They know what the rivalry's about bc they grew up with it. It's not like Pike has always been a closet Auburn fan.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:13 PM ^
That's true, but you can see how the situations are similar. Also, Kalis did not grow up an OSU fan, and did not grow up in OH.
August 11th, 2011 at 3:30 PM ^
I'm not going to try to make it seems like it's completely different because their Michigan recruits, but I do think it is slightly different. They were joking with each other in more of a subtle insult to Ohio State fans than Pike's blatant "you're stupid!" approach.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:03 PM ^
Auburn, what?
August 11th, 2011 at 2:04 PM ^
I mean, I get what he's trying to do, I guess, but he doesn't even really know anything about that rivalry. He's never played in the iron bowl or even been a student at auburn yet, and it's not like he would have a childhood allegiance to one team, given that he's from Kentucky. Way to jump on the bandwagon and start a bunch of crap for attention.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:10 PM ^
True, but when I was accepted to Michigan fall of my senior year in hs (originally from maryland), I still talked shit to every ohio state fan I could find. But I get what you're saying, especially for a guy like Zeke whos every word is being followed by fanatics
August 11th, 2011 at 2:12 PM ^
I still talked shit to every ohio state fan I could find.
I was accepted to Michigan
...does not compute.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:04 PM ^
Most schools probably go over Twitter and Facebook do's and don'ts with new players once they're in-house. Pike will probably get a massive butt-chewing from someone on this and learn a lesson.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:07 PM ^
If I knew it would post like that from my phone, I wouldn't have posted it from my phone. I'm sorry that a perspective reader couldn't navigate to the link easily. Again, I apologize.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:16 PM ^
I don't think your post was that bad. Oh, no, I had to cut and paste the URL. What has the internet come to? Once I did that, the information was interesting. And I agree, I'm glad we don't have to deal with that from any of our recruits, though I wouldn't be surprised if it happened every so often. It's the prolificity that is most impressive in Pike.
Sometimes I don't get the hostility on this board...
August 11th, 2011 at 2:24 PM ^
This kind of rhetoric happens every singe day amongst fans and players. It is no different than the rhetoric surronding UM-OSU.
This is stupid.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:29 PM ^
Vegas has Auburn's O/U this year set at 6 wins. Wonder what Zeke thinks about that? Probably something only a mixture of Tim Tebow and Big Ben could fix the following year.
(BTW - mix of Tebow and Big Ben - does that mean he is bipolar? Does he constantly struggle with forcing himself upon women vs. restraining from pre-marital sex?)
August 11th, 2011 at 2:40 PM ^
It's like when you read the comments section under an article about Michigan on BSpn.
I know there are going to be trolls in there that will say things that piss me off, I tell myself to not even look, but I have to. Of course I see something so ridiculous that it pisses me off to the point where I respond.
Now think about people in Alabama, fans that are so ridiculous one of them actually fucking poisoned landmark trees on Auburn's campus. I can imagine people talking shit to him to the point that it boils over. What he should have done is just delete his twitter account, but I can understand it pissing him off.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:42 PM ^
Pointless thread. Even though 1 million out of 1 million times I will take a Shane Morris Commitment over a Zeke Pike. Loving Shane Morris. I think he is is ranked ahead of Zeke and he is still a junior.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:45 PM ^
I want both of these teams to go away, preferably to Hell, and never come back.
August 11th, 2011 at 2:58 PM ^
Hell would be an upgrade.

Lived in Michigan for 18 years. Alabama for 11. Not much worse here then in Michigan. Sorry to burst any bubbles.
August 11th, 2011 at 3:37 PM ^
Either you live in Sparty territory, or you found the most isolated part of Alabama.
August 11th, 2011 at 3:41 PM ^
Mio,MI. Live in Florence, al which is prettier really than most of Michigan. I love u of m but the state sucks!
August 11th, 2011 at 5:06 PM ^
I saw some crime show about Mio last night. Doesn't sound like a great place.
August 11th, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
You're judging the whole state based on 18 years stuck in Oscoda County?
