More Kalis Rumors
I know this has been batted around a million times by now, but according to Scout, now it looks like Kalis' father is supporting him committing to UM right now, but others in his family are maintaining that he should prolong the process for one reason or another. I wish the kid luck in his decision-making and the process.
Bottom line:
Apparently Kalis' father wants me to buy a subscription to Scout Premium. That's what the link says at least.
Kyle Kalis' father is.....Tom Beaver?!?
because there is a rumor that he is now a silent commit but i have no solid source like TVH and didnt want to look stupid......
Is your source Ace Williams?
it's from a combination of different message boards and people
Exactly. Ace Williams.
*Buckling up*
but that graphic is spectactular!
Man, i was going across 247 and Bucknuts and they hate this kid. I mean, he just took a visit. I hope we get this kid and he plays his damn heart out!
GO BLUE!!
the scene in the untouchables where Capone goes ape shit and says:
I want you to get this fuck where he breathes! I want you to find this nancy-boy Eliot Ness, I want him DEAD! I want his family DEAD! I want his house burned to the GROUND! I wanna go there in the middle of the night and I wanna PISS ON HIS ASHES!
If anyone tells Kalis how much the people at Bucknuts hate him, at least he will have the consolation that they hate themselves a lot worse...
Yeah I've been reading this on the 247 thread all day. My seatbelt is on until TVH tells me it is safe to move about the cabin again.
Will they at least continue with the beverage service? These pretzels are making me thirsty!
Btw, just curious, but do you mean to have the word "heroin" (as in the drug) in your sig line instead of "heroine" (a female hero) or is that some clever inside joke that is just going over my head?
That could be one of the best Seinfeld episodes ever. These pretzels are making me thirsty!
but the cigar store Indian was my favorite. It was the first episode I saw and was hooked after that.
that i support kalis committing to michigan as well. tomvh has not confirmed at this point
I'd rather see him commit when he and his family are 100% comfortable than I would see him commit quickly - though both would be nice.
Typically a family will support a kid no matter where he choses. I would like a quick commit so the family starts being more supportive. That way, they will have less time to talk him out of it without feeling bad.
I'm assuming his family are Buckeye fans?
Way to rip on a kid's parents? Ever think they just want to make sure that their kid, not your kid, is making the best decision for his future? Not everybody dreams of going only to michigan. Maybe they just want to make sure he commits to the place he will for sure sign with in february.
That's not what I meant at all. I meant no disrespect or to "rip on a kids parents." It's natural for people from a certain state to be fans of a certain team. I'm referring more to the pressure friends and family are probably putting on him to either A) sign with the team that they're fans of (probably Buckeyes since that's where he lives), or B) to take his time and visit other schools which could potentially sway his decision to the point where he ends up elsewhere. And by "family," I was referring more to extended family since his father supposedly supports his possible Michigan commitment. Sorry, I should have specified.
Furthermore, I was saying that I support an early decision to give people that are close to him more time to be comfortable with it.
Example of what kind of thing I'm talking about: Mealer grew up an OSU fan. His father really wanted him to attend OSU. Mealer fell in love with Michigan. His father was disappointed at first but eventually came around and supported his sons decision.
Anything else, Mr. rman247?
I'm just saying I much rather see him take visits if he needs too, and make sure he makes the right decision than commit now, and visit a school in January, because he and his friends weren't exactly sure that Michigan was the right school
Am I missing something in regards to the rating system? How does this comment constitute flamebait? I am fairly certain most people on this board would want him to be 100% before commiting.
I seriously doubt any family wouldn't support their child's decision to attend a top school with an elite tradition. Check that, Harvey Updike might not support his kids if they wanted to go to Auburn.
I'm just thinking of the difference between "Kyle, I think it's great you chose Michigan" and "Kyle, I think it's great you chose Michigan, but are you sure you don't want to go see Alabama?"
As a father, I'd definitely want my child to look at Michigan, but would support her wherever she wanted to go--even OSU.
As much as we like to talk up Michigan, for most people, graduating from a BCS level school is going to give them the opportunity to pursue what they want it they work hard and succeed.
I would support either of my sons decision to go anywhere but OSU. I feel that if you have a scholarship to attend that school in Ohio, the opportunities to attend another big time school should be there. I'd ask them not to break my heart! Furthermore, I'd proudly support the Spartans before I could ever decide to supoprt the Buckeyes!
......even though my kids will turn 4 and 5 in the next couple months, if they get an offer from any school in Ohio, it better be Oberlin.
But wasn't Kalis the one who said his dad has no rooting interest in OSU (or any other school?)
When Speilman's dad found out he was considering Michigan at one point in his recruitment, he told him he could never come back home if he went to the school up north. So, not all parents are rational, some take after thier idols (Woody).
I think it was an SI article, but man was that a depressing read. Interesting to see the affects of trouble or suffering in one's life and the connections one makes to cope with issues. Sometimes these connections go beyond rational thought and Harvey's fanaticism is now going to cost him big time.
Kyle Kalis, come on down!
#GBOD
Hoke's face imposed on Bob Bakers stat!
I would immediately post that on facebook too...for every new commit from now on!
Not sure who that Baker guy is, but the above picture is of Bob Barker. ;-)
would be more effective if he were inviting him for a hug.
In Ohio, it isn't "Go Blue or Die." It's more "Go Blue and some ignorant Ohioan will firebomb your truck, kick your dog, and invite your mother to a nice steak dinner and NEVER CALL HER AGAIN"
This is one of those cases where I'd be cool if he was a silent commit for as long as he felt the need. No reason to take that kind of abuse as a high school senior.
There are parts of Ohio where you don't commit to Michigan so much as you defect to Michigan. I don't/won't blame Kalis, Dunn, or anybody else who decides he wants to go to Michigan but sits on that information for as long as possible.
.....is pretty much where saying "Go Blue" makes this "The Man Who Came In From The Cold" and you're on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall.
A reliable source tells me he writes with his toes and at night he washes his socks in club soda to make his feet fizz to keep up his circulation. This bodes well for his footwork.
I couldn't figure out what you signature was for about 20 seconds. Dude, that's awesome. All it needs it a TVH bat light shining above the 'M". Awesome!
Spews with hate towards Kalis. No matter what KK's decision is , we shall respect it. Will never lower myself to the clowns at BN.
There are a lot of rumors out there, but like I said he's not saying much in public so be careful what you believe.
hate Strobel so much. and if Kalis ends up blue then their hate towards both will just increase tenfold.
I was having a look at the OSU 247 board and there are some reality denying ignorant people over there. It makes me sad for the state of society that there are people like that out there that apparently have the money to afford computers, internet access, and pay sites. Amazing.
Computers, internet access, and pay sites aren't that expensive. Toilets however...
Coolers aint cheap either there pal...
the right to vote.
