1995: Gary Moeller getting abruptly fired after one bad night out, and Michigan for possibly the first time ever becoming a national punch line. Only to be replaced by an unproven but long-time assistant coach.
I'll never forget the passion and the will to redeem the program that Lloyd Carr showed in that introductory press conference, but there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding what he could do as a head coach.
1) Root for the ladies.
2) Root against Utah (which I didn't even know had a softball program.
3) Plan trip to Alumni Field for the Super Regional.
4) Red Lobster biscuits.
Sooo very much looking forward to the bandwagon Cubs fans surpassing the bandwagon Cardinals fans invading our stadium.
To the OP screw it I'm in...jrstryker at yahoo.com.
I do feel for ya WD. I'd love for every Michigan fan to be able to see us win the National Championship in the Rose Bowl. It was reality for me and still seems like a dream.
I miss Regis Philbin. I think the last time I saw him on TV was right before the Alabama /ND national championship game.
There should be an appreciation thread on that game! And the Hooters girls I saw that night. Good times...
It's because when you write a blurb about OSU's huge game this weekend against rival Oklahoma, some people would tend to get confused.
No disrepekt intended to the OSU that Michigan plays this weekend, at least not most of the time.
Either right after or just before the end of the game you may hear a chant of "BEAT O-HI-O!" Feel free to join in. Any tingling of your skin is normal.
Drew Brees. Whenever that offense was on the field you knew he was getting in the end zone, but you didn't know whether it would be on 10 short throws or a long bomb. When they played at Michigan (1999?), there was an audible sigh of relief in the stadium when it started raining, meaning we could maybe slow him down.

It worked for Iowa.

You can use it to spell out the score of the Fiesta Bowl before you destroy it!
I can only remember 0SU's contribution to that score though...
I forgot that this game was even happening tonight. This at the same time I'm rooting for the Fighting Sioux to win a basketball game.
It's the apocalypse or I'm really hammered.
Yeah but...where's the threat?
But as an 11-star recruit OBVIOUSLY Bama is leading for him.
