Glad to help out...

... if your products are anything like these, then you are set...

Thanks...

... just bought two season tickets + the scarfs.  Such a deal.

I have seen what MLS has done in Houston and Columbus with the Dynamo and the Crew.

Have to figure out a way to tell MgoWife what we're doing on a few Friday and Saturday nights this Spring and Summer.

A full season for less than one Exhibition game with the Lions. Go Figure...

Just one question...

.... what do you want to do and why do you think getting an MBA is part of a "career change?"

Also, "dream school" sounds a bit more like an undergrad thing.  And the fact that one of your parents went there is interesting but not really relevant to such a commitment of time and money (even if you do get in).

Graduate degrees (save probably Med School) is no guarantee of a job, let alone one you want in a career you find attractive.

This sounds more like a "running from" situation rather than a "going to" situation.  And from what I hear about Ross, it may be that an offer is a long shot.

Anyway, good luck.  Everyone I know who has an MBA (I run with an older crowd) toiled away in middle management for years.  Maybe Ross and others are changing this.  I know NO ONE who got a top-tier MBA (Michigan, Harvard, Stanford or Wharton) who started their own business or made it to the top of someone else's.

And yes, your mileage may vary, etc., but this is a college sports board and there you have it.

SDM

PS However, if you do get into Ross, Attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.

MGoJobBoard

... yeah this is interesting but I think the FAQs require a $50 donation to "Beveled Guilt" for this sort of thing.  Equity is also nice, but it's on top of that.

BG is located on the upper right of this page; the appropriate icon is repurposed below to assist to in finding it.

PS No Java Scripts were harmed in the preparation of this post.

In all fairness...

... here's a picture of OP from a Go Pro held by his Mom:

My request for a Wolverine mascot...

... It has to look old-school (like LSBlue's avatar; ie this from SgrWebster):

But it's wearing a Block "M" Bo-era hat.

And a headset.

And oversized Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses.

And a Blue Sharpie on a Maize lanyard

And below the Blue furry navel, wearing maize khaki's.

Which because they are slightly "flood" length, you see

White socks with Blue stripes.

And Black high-top lineman football shoes

With cleats for deep grass.

Other than that, I don't care.

6 years of college wasted...

Great pub for MGB...

... and I think we can all figure out the real culprit in Tom Brady's deflated balls.

TMFB...

... and the only NFL player who's wife earns more than he does.

Amazing...

... this guy makes Marc Trestman look like Vince Lombardi.

I can't believe that they swapped out Harbaugh for him. One can only speculate what really went down between Harbaugh and the Baalke/York axis of evil.  I see the 49ers regressing.  Fast.

First rule of HC selection: you don't get rid of a good coach unless you have a better one locked down first.

The 49er nation has to be apoplectic over this.

Who's got it better than the 49ers?

EVERYBODY!!

This is a great question...

... and it is probably THE question in the entire HC search.

At this point, all I'll venture to say is that no one who knows is talking and no one who is talking knows.

And as far as the tangential point that Jim Harbaugh knew in September or whenever that he was coming to Michigan, (a) I don't believe it; (b) It strains credulity, and (c) it is hard to watch his performance at the news conference and the halftime talk at the Illinois game and think that this didn't come together in the waning days of 2014.

Come together as in "final decision," not agreeing to some broad outline of the terms.

Hackett made it all seem 99% about Harbaugh, and maybe 1% about him.  And that's about as anti-Brandon as you can get.  And thank goodness some UM faithful connected Schlissel with Hackett.  Otherwise, we could be still looking for a permanent AD and holding out for Les Miles...

Schlissel did something very important and very rare.  He sought out good people for advice, and then he listened.

Great summary of WSJ article...

... and nice write-up regarding it.

There are a few rather large assumptions as to when his lawyer was first retained and how much David Dunn was involved.

Attorney Klein said he started working in "the fall." Which is some time before December 21.  And it's probable that agent Dunn was involved in many things that Attorney Klein wouldn't even know about (or need to).

Hackett really played the exclusive period Michigan had before the end of the NFL season well.

And as far as Harbaugh not wanting to have a "bidding war" because he was "coming home," that's as good a meme as any at this point.  The simple fact may be that the 49ers didn't want to have Harbaugh as their coach OR as ANY NFL coach in 2015.

So there's a lot of correlation that's being treated as causation in this thread.

No one who knows is going to talk on the record for a very long time (if ever).  In the meantime, Harbaugh needs to rest a bit, regain his voice, and start to burn up the phone lines during the dead period.

Michigan got their man, and it's really bigger news nationally than the two playoff games tomorrow.  Which is all sorts of Maize and Blue awesome.

Starting Friday, Harbaugh wlll be in full-on sprint mode until September 3, 2015.

In a related matter...

... sounds like Gregg Henson will be on WDFN starting 11:30am; is available on streaming via iHeartRadio...

... and another thing...

... I hope the pageviews here go up courtesy of Jim Harbaugh, so banner ads like this can go:

... sort of a compliment, though, when you think about it...

I'd say losing to Rutgers...

... can go.

C'mon, H2Michigan...

... are you serious?  Are you trying to scare away the family? You "wouldn't mind knowing?"

???

Exactly!

... and the NFL guys were right with what they were hearing.

And Brian had, as usual, the most accurate and entertaining reporting on the process via Searchbits.

Henson turned out to be right; it doesn't mean he couldn't have been wrong.  A lot happened in the last 72 hours.

We anxiously await...

... your official pronouncement of a Rapoport "relentment."  Might be better a diary post.

And, for the record, he was right.

Nice...

... "tell that clone to get a life."

... it IS creepy...

... and one's start date here has nothing to do with it.

SDM

PS (to EastCoast) Homeland Security, Line 2.

They should have picked one of these...

... I hope to see something like the first two in the top row later today or tomorrow...

Bravo!

... best comment here in weeks...

Look at the game tape...

.... when you watch the first few minutes of Harbaugh's post-game presser, two things are clear to me: (a) he is not happy about how things are ending with the 49ers and (b) he will really miss the NFL:

http://www.mercurynews.com/49ers/ci_27217170/video-san-francisco-49ers-…

That doesn't mean he won't be thrilled to run out of the tunnel at the Big House.

The demonizing of NFL writers is more a meme; they were printing what they were hearing and what they were hearing was that Harbaugh did not want to leave the NFL and other teams were very interested in him.

Harbaugh's agent David Dunn did what any good agent is supposed to do: work to maximize the value for his client.  And he likely used NFL writers towards that end.

It would be great if John U. Bacon had "all areas access" to this drama. Thank goodness Jim Hackett was more interested in getting his man than stoking his ego. The fact that President Schlissel chose Hackett over other obvious AD choices is the real masterstroke here.  Look for the "interim" to be dropped off his title soon. He deserves it.

Go Blue!

Thank you for posting this...

... you have to remember than many active posters here are on Day 7 of a "Come Home Jimmy" vigil, watching for every shred of info like schoolgirls waiting for One Direction to show up in their town.  Many have not yet started their Christmas shopping.

So that explains why some are criticizing your information, but have been hanging on every word of a random tweeter who has now deleted his account and gone into some sort of Twitter witness protection program.

Yeah, but...

... Rule #1 in any high-level search, HC or otherwise: you don't target only one candidate.  Otherwise, that person has you over a barrel and often uses you as leverage to get a counter-offer to stay put.  Think Les Miles and UM, twice.

The good news is that apparently isn't an option for Harbaugh with the 49ers.

But be clear about one thing: Hackett said nothing today (just like Harbaugh said nothing yesterday).  If for some reason UM-Harbaugh doesn't happen, then Hackett will serve up someone he believes is very capable.

He was CEO of a Fortune 500 company.  He's been around the block.  He knows everyone is replaceable.  Even himself, eventually.

One fun parlor game...

... if anyone has TWS's two "photo" tweets, post them.

They make for an interesting line-by-line analysis.  You know, CIA-Pravda style, circa Cold War.

It would provide some entertainment between now and Dec 30, with Jim Harbaugh sitting in a conference room at Athletes First, with these hats on the table in front of him:

Size does NOT denote odds; I like our chances....

OK, it sounds about right....

>> Hackett today:

"We feel good about having our guy but we want to make sure everything is signed before moving forward..."

>> Harbaugh yesterday:

""What will happen will happen, What won't happen won't happen."

In other words; check back on December 30.

ThoseWhoStay7 = Catfish

I would say TWS fits Rules 1, 8 and 12 of  "12 Signs That You Might Be Getting Catfished Online""

http://socialcatfish.com/12-signs-might-getting-catfished-online/

No or Yes...

A. No, he would not do it for one of two reasons:

1) He was just fired.

2) It would sound lame to Harbaugh, and scare him away.

B. Yes, he would do it for one reason:

1) It would sound lame to Harbaugh, and scare him away.

... You are correct!

... and that person's name would be Urban.

You are an inspiration to all UM grads...

... because you get right up and go back to work.

And I imagine the Texans wish they had drafted you first right about now...

Go Blue.

Epic Win...

.... perhaps the only thing missing was David Brandon walking up to ND/AD Jack Swarbrick on the field after the game and giving him a letter:

Dear Jack:

How did you like UTL 2?  Fun, huh!

Anyhow, I wanted to let you know a few things:

1. UM will not appear in 2014 at South Bend;

2. The 7-figure cancellation fee awaits outside in a Brinks truck in pennies, courtesy of Steve Ross. Lennay Kekua will drive it back for you gratis;

3. Appy State has an open date next year; the switchboard number is 828-262-2000, ask Mabel to connect you; and

4. Gordon Gee was right.

All the best;

Dave

P.S. The Boilermakers are sneaky good.

P.P.S I thought Brian Kelly's F-bomb purple-face really looked awesome on ESPN under the lights.

OK, you're right...

... I guess I was a bit out of line and somewhat harsh.

And I fully expect some in East Lansing to make fun of the shirt Coach Hoke wore yesterday.  And be especially critical of the guest speaker he had address the team.

SDM

PS The speaker didn't need a workshirt with a name tag.  Team 134 were all familiar with his work. He actually had a blue collar on, though. With one small item on it in maize.  It had wings.

Or second good joke...

... from page D1 of today's New York Times:

It would take a lot of Pulitzer Prize-level research to determine the sports nickname of the University of Michigan.

That said, I have it on good authority that the main use of the New York Times along the banks of the Red Cedar is as kindling for front-porch couches.

Michigan by 3...

... I see tOSU game differently: uber-Rival, C-Bus, spitting Grannies in tank tops and tats.

While the Hoosiers have a legacy in basketball, I think our young guns think of Indiana as a mid-major otherwise.

I have a hunch that Stauskas will be doing this at least 5 times:

In a dark jersey...

Tom Crean will be checking his watch to see if he'll make the flight to NOLA to watch one of his wife's brothers lose to the other.

All signs point to Wolverines.  Epic win.

Go Blue!

Three Thoughts...

Ace:

1. I really like your passion and creativity.

2. It's "tenets" unless you are actually living at Welsh-Ryan.

3. I honestly found the use of the term "Massacre" in the title and the related violent metaphors used throughout your post off-putting.  Particularly in light of recent events.

Go Blue...

Sven DM

While Touchdown Jesus Looks Down...

Swarbrick hands the termination letter to Brandon on the field before the game.

Sort of a dick move if you ask me.

Hopefully Brandon asked him how the Irish practice video lifts are holding up this year.

C'mon now...

... two cheers for the OP's effort.  It's always timely to thrash ND.  And BK is a big target.

Emphasis on "BIG":

The best part of all this is that BK may be the nail in the coffin for ND ever joining the B1G.  And to that I say...

AMEN!

Not the whole story...

... Madonna may have worked at the BF, but I remember her serving at Miller's Ice Cream circa 1976-77.  That is confirmed here:

http://madonnaquotes.weebly.com/college.html

She was definitely remarkable then.  I'll leave it at that.

Great Job by JUB...

... he even got in a jab against the NCAA "violations" when compared to the other, more infamous ones since then.

The Sklars actually read the book.  JUB also mentioned how Michigan probably got the right coach, even though Les Miles has the #1 ranked college team and Jim Harbaugh is likely the NFL coach of the year.

All in all, a good segment on the book and THE TEAM, THE TEAM, THE TEAM...

You must have never seen

You must have never seen "Cheap Seats" on ESPN back-in-the-day.  The Sklars dished Savage sports irony before the evil-four-letter got so big and self-important...

You, sir...

... are a massive jerk.

If it's Joseph Campbell you want...

... then that's what you get...

Opportunities

Here is my favorite line from Hoke's presser...

How do you feel about your first regular season?

“Eh, it’s fun, you know? It’s fun! Look, I’ve got the best job in the world. I do. Because at 2:30 every day, I get 115 guys that I get a chance to make a difference in their lives. What could be funner? Or more fun. Is ‘funner’ right?

Who wouldn't want to play for this guy?

EFZ!

... I don't always go to bowl games.  But when I do, I prefer to boat-race low-caliber, gimmick system squads.

Stay hungry, my Wolverines!

http://youtu.be/8Bc0WjTT0Ps

C'mon....

... the (allegedly) best team Tulsa beat outside of Tulsa is UCF.

UCF is 5-7.

Mattison will bring the house against Case.

Keenum closed.

I hope not...

.... but if we do meet them there, we will boat-race them.  As in hang a 50-spot on them and give up a couple of touchdowns.

I give them credit, and the QB is awesome against inferior competition, but they've played no one...

The two closest games were UTEP and UCLA (5-7 and 6-6).

HC Kevin Sumlin may not be around to coach in the bowl game.

Hail the Seniors...

... it is so gratifying to see how happy they are.

When Brady Hoke said at his opening presser that he would have walked here from San Diego, I thought it was just talk.

Now I believe him.  Watch his post-game presser where he says he has "the greatest job in the world."  It brings a tear to your eye.

I can't imagine anyone else as our head coach.

Go Blue!

This is awesome for RichRod and family...

.... look at that smile; it's great to see him happy...

And to think some on this board last week said that Tulane was the best he could do!

He will put some real offense into the Pac 12; Stanford is about to trend toward the mean and Oregon should go on probation soon.

And right now, on the Arizona Wildcats athletics website, there is a great picture of RichRod, announcing the news conference tomorrow.  Here it is, with a slight annotation:

Doh!
