You realize the fact that Michigan is a tournament team but not a contender is a disappointment is only because Beilein has completely shifted what success looks like for this program, right?
It was always weird to me that it began a style of video. The idea that it could be relevant after the original is a bummer. Still my highest viewed video on YouTube ( not that there's much competition)
Man… BuzzFeed, to steal a phrase from ESPN, really is Now.
Anywho, it's pretty cool to see something I made hold up this well. Makes me wish I would have taken the time to put one together this year (spoiler: it would have been much less depressing through the A block)
If it makes you feel any better, Tim and I ended up at the Hyatt on Wacker drive when we needed to be at McCormick Place Hyatt. He had to hop a cab to get there in time.
Tim and I have been working on a tempo free stats site for lacrosse for a little while now. The numbers don't have the latest weekend, but it still has some big picture value.
I've met Rothstein and I think he's a nice guy. Generally, I enjoy his writing and there's value in a non-MICH person writing about Michigan. I don't necessarily agree with this, but I can disagree with an article without going ad hom...
Im sick of hearing all this talk from the media and the duo that announced the game campaing for Hart to be our every down back. Yes he had a good game, but it was against a bad defence and we've seen the last few years he doesnt have break away speed. That's not discrediting his shifty moves and superb blocking, i just think he should continue to be our 3rd down back which fits perfectly with his skill set.
Michigan Replay/Inside Michigan Football was filmed at the Crisler Production Studio which is currently being constructed upon, just like the rest of Crisler. Hopefully it will be done pretty soon. Right now they're doing the football post game pressers in the visiting media room instead of the studio. I can see it making everything more difficult, especially to get that 24 hour turnaround.
You do realize it's more than just going from jpeg to png to gif to tiff to eps, etc, right? They don't just need different files, they need different images optimized for different uses. As someone who has very limited experience, I can tell you it's kind of a bitch trying to make sure something looks consistent when produced by RGB color and printed in CMYK.
There logo fundamentally changes for different media beyond just how the file is encoded. This isn't something that can be done with an Automator tast.
I thought "grit," "son of a coach," "loves the game," and getting compared to Wes Welker were all just non too subtle euphemisms for being a white athlete.
this makes it sounds like there's a standard operating procedure or something. I tried to clarify and remove possible privacy violations without stepping on any other mod's toes, but we run a pretty ad hoc, fly by the seat of our pants moderation outfit
I live right by the one in Lakeview, but the tasting was held at the one by Goose Island. You also totally missed your chance to be the first commenter on Yeastbound and Down!
This blog is going to be GOLD JERRY GOLD all year. I'm pretty excited for it... now if only mgoblue.com would provide an rss feed…
And while Novak may not be a freak athlete among the freak athletes who play Division 1 basketball, he's no slouch. I remember watching him bring the house down in the dunk contest at the opening practice event thing.
Michigan is also the team to have faced 400 pass attempts. Teams never have a chance to let off the throttle, so they just pass it all over all game. The efficiency defense numbers aren't good, but they're apocalyptic.
And are you saying Roh should be kept on the line so that DL depth stays on the bench or should play LB (where playing some coverage is required) to let that DL depth play?
I've been going to Ashley's on the regular for a little over 3 years. I can count the number of times I've had good service on one hand. That's just part of the Ashley's character, imhe
ABC's beer is just OK to me (the atmosphere and foodt are below OK), and try as I might, I can't get myself to really like Jolly Pumpkin's stuff.
I'm Mug Club with Grizzly Peak, but in all honesty, their IPA is just alright. None of the Ann Arbor breweries seem to have a killer, house made IPA.
I would hit up Ashleys and try the IPAs from Bell's, Founders, Dark Horse and New Holland. Have them make you a custom flight of Michigan IPAs. I think that might be your best bet at getting a hop high. They also have DFH 90 minute IPA on cask, so that's awesome.
Arrington was one of those guys who you knew was good and showed flashes to confirm that belief, but didn't quite get there while at Michigan. I think he could be a decent receiver option in the NFL, and he'll probably be productive if he can have Brees throwing to him.
I'm sporting a fitted Nike, skinny M hat that I randomly found before the PSU game last year. It's a little smaller than I would have bought, but I'm not going to look the benevolent Michigan psuedo-blogger loving god in the mouth.
I agree that Rosenburg probably had a story in his mind and gathered facts, quotes, stories, etc. that supported that story.
I don't agree that there is some coordinated attack by the Free Press to attack Michigan. I don't get what incentive they have for that. I think it's more likely that "Rodriguez is on the Hotseat" stories are more interesting to the average reader than "Rodriguez is making progress"
Also, I mentioned to some folks that I thought your comment on Birkett was the most fair and intelligent in the thread so far.
All the gnashing of teeth and rending of flesh about little things and perceived slights takes legitimacy from legitimate gripes about dubious/malicious reporting.
Birkett at the press conference was a little much, but well within the bounds of standard journalism. His story afterward was fair and had the facts laid out fairly plainly.
The off the cuff, rather confusing joke he made about Dorsey in a live chat earned him a reprimand and he apologized.
Beyond those two incidents, I really don't see how he has maligned the Michigan program and is part of a cabal to destroy Michigan. I haven't interacted with him too much, but he always seemed bright and professional.
There are some legitimate gripes with the mainstream media, but it seems like a lot of people here cry wolf a little too quickly. It does kind of make the Michigan fan base seem a little petty and butt hurt, imhe

If you want true dating advice...
With work and/or school getting more intense, I had to choose between drinking and writing about drinking.
YB&D will be back... eventually...

Why do you have no avatar but do have an image in your signature? This seems wrong.
I abuse the elipsis from time to time, but never like that. It is neither a period nor a comma. Almost all of them could have been been one of those.

If anyone knows an easy way to batch add Picasa Web Albums to a Flickr pool, I have a few hundred pictures from my days as the MGoPhotog
Someone spoke too soon...
This will be their only probowl for a while considering the Lions are going to the next 3 Super Bowls at least

I figured I might now have many more chances. Plus he was doing dance while coaching a drill.

Usually a couple of hours, sometimes longer. There's a lot of podcasts that directory has to refresh.
It takes a little while for iTunes to update. It should be up there by this time tomorrow.
Hopefully Manny can help out the Cavs. That franchise could certainly use something going right.

Numbers lose meaning when you arbitrarily alter them, dude.

Hoosiers are deadt.
This, oddly, has not been said yet, so here it goes: MIIIIIIIIIIIICH!
This thread should have never been started. It was stupid to start and hasn't even really yielded any funny responses. It's getting locked.
College football is topical, yo
They would be dog and probably cover if not win outright. Ask Jamie Mac about betting on Boise State as an underdog.
Grady is definitely on scholarship.

I'm 90% sure this is 'shopped, but I like to hold out hope that there in an exceptionally rad dude out there who paints very quickly in the dark

Meh... I thought it was funny.
I enjoyed watching it at the Jug. Good feeling of community, especially as the waiter cursed out the referee.
