META: RSS Issues?
Has anyone else noticed a hiccup in the mgoblog rss feed lately? Neither of this week's UFRs nor the UV have shown up in my reader -- the last item that I received was the Toussaint Jab Step one.

I don't have any issues, but I use the direct feed instead of the feedburner one.

the same thing yesterday with my rss feed.......

Why do you use rss feeds vs going to the actual website? I'm actually curious about it.

Just personally, but I use RSS so I can keep track of what I have/have not read on the many blogs that I frequent. I actually click through and read on the site usually. It just helps make sure I don't miss stuff.
Anyway, yeah, I also haven't gotten anything from here on my feed in the past day or two.

When you use RSS feeds, you (usually) get alerted that a new article is up right away, so you don't have to F5 for it. The other bonus is that you can keep track of what you have read and save things to read later if you don't have the time that moment.

Similar to what the first two said, I like using rss feeds for sites that I don't want to have to frequent to find new articles but want to know when something new comes up. I still frequent MGo for the board and diary material and because I like to comment on the main posts.
Frankthetank is a prime example of a site I don't want to have to check often but like to read when he does throw something new up. Oversigning.com is similar because it's seasonal or when a new story pops up. Same with rss sites from other interests that I don't follow as closely as Michigan, like Tim's Yeastbound and Down (which he hasn't updated since May - jerk) or Literally Unbelievable for laughs.

With work and/or school getting more intense, I had to choose between drinking and writing about drinking.
YB&D will be back... eventually...

Good to hear! I hope you picked up on the sarcasm in my jerk comment.

It's been working fine for me in Google Reader.

Same problem here. Opening the http://feeds.feedburner.com/mgoblog url also shows the Toussaint Jab Step as the most recent entry.

I use the feeds section in (urgh) Outlook in case I get busy and don't have an opportunity to refresh.

I haven't seen a tweet from @mgoblog in the last couple of days either. That is usually my bat signal when new material hits the front page.

Huh. Feedburner's having some kind of problem -- the source feed is working fine.

I was unaware of the source feed so I'll switch to that.
