META: RSS Issues?

Submitted by Rashman on

Has anyone else noticed a hiccup in the mgoblog rss feed lately?  Neither of this week's UFRs nor the UV have shown up in my reader -- the last item that I received was the Toussaint Jab Step one.

Just personally, but I use RSS so I can keep track of what I have/have not read on the many blogs that I frequent. I actually click through and read on the site usually. It just helps make sure I don't miss stuff.

Anyway, yeah, I also haven't gotten anything from here on my feed in the past day or two.

When you use RSS feeds, you (usually) get alerted that a new article is up right away, so you don't have to F5 for it. The other bonus is that you can keep track of what you have read and save things to read later if you don't have the time that moment.

Similar to what the first two said, I like using rss feeds for sites that I don't want to have to frequent to find new articles but want to know when something new comes up. I still frequent MGo for the board and diary material and because I like to comment on the main posts.

Frankthetank is a prime example of a site I don't want to have to check often but like to read when he does throw something new up. Oversigning.com is similar because it's seasonal or when a new story pops up. Same with rss sites from other interests that I don't follow as closely as Michigan, like Tim's Yeastbound and Down (which he hasn't updated since May - jerk) or Literally Unbelievable for laughs.
