i agree and i think the really meaningful comparison is the drop off in minutes for morgan v the added minutes for beilfeldt |

is not the former detroit lions' wr, right?? |
| 23 weeks 2 days ago | hardaway shooting |
I share the writer's concern as to hardaway's falling shooting percentage-----however, it looked to me that binghamton packed its defense in so tight to the rim that good driving opportunities were rare for hardaway, and almost everyone else. |
| 24 weeks 4 days ago | knowledge question |
Thanks for the informative post. BUT did you have to get a special permit to write "Here is the knowledge"? Or should rookie posters like myself already know that there is a difference between "the knowledge" and "THE KNOWLEDGE"? |
| 26 weeks 2 days ago | let's see if i did this correctly |
above is a photo i tried to copy from the 1927 dedication game @ michigan stadium----michigan v osu
this should be the link

....teams wore their "colors" whether home or away. However, as time passed, both fans and coaches complained that was hard to distinguish between, for example, scarlet-jerseyed Ohio and cardinal-jerseyed Wisconsin. So, white jerseys for a visiting team was considered [and actually was] a reform, at the time. I really think that if you go back far enough you could find a photo of a Michigan-OSU game where the teams are wearing "color" jerseys. So I think that this idea would actually be a return to something done in the past.

middle guards donnie warner, henry hill, and tim davis all eventually started @ middle guard for bo schembechler in the late 60's through the mid-late 70's |
| 34 weeks 3 days ago | same for us |
basically the offer from the university is to pay 2X last year's price to sit in close to the worst seats there is no reason not to wait and see what happens we can get this "deal" at any time------unless the place sells out |
| 34 weeks 4 days ago | i agree with this |
and this is what drove me so crazy on Saturday. The offense ND ran said to me: 1---ND does not trust either of the qbs 2---So ND will run a VERY conservative offense 3---But it does not matter because Michigan will not score enough to catch ND
It reminded me of what Perles did in the M-MSU game where Demetrious Brown threw all the interceptions |
| 38 weeks 1 day ago | packaged plays |
The idea of packaged plays to counter defensive schemes like the double-a gap blitzes seems really good but: Does not the quarterback have to make a lot of reads super fast? It seemed last year that michigan did not trust the qb very often to make the read on relatively simple read option-type running plays. Tthe packaged play reads seem a lot harder. Or did I misundestand the article?

| 40 weeks 4 days ago | throwbacks |
I am afraid that the current adminstration thinks that an authentic throwback would irreparably harm the Michigan "brand". The modern uniform example to be followed is that of Oregon or Michigan State, not the New York Yankees, or even Alabama. |
| 40 weeks 5 days ago | one small thing |
One of the retired jerseys belonged to wr #85 Chuck Hughes who passed away on the field during a game [heart attack, I think]. Because the Lions were behind and there was not much time to play, the radio announcer originally thought Hughes was pretending to be hurt, so that the officials would call a time-out. When the announcer was quickly informed how bad it really was, the radio went silent for a bit before the announcer recovered. |
| 42 weeks 1 day ago | home invasion |
Home invasion includes entering a home/residence without permission and committing a theft while in there [there are other ways to commit this crime as well].
Just stealing a laptop [some type of larceny] is a lesser crime than entering someone's else house and then stealing something from the house.
Home invasion-2nd degree can have rather serious penalties/punishments. The waiver of the preliminary exam does not tell you for certain whether Clark intends to fight the charge, or whether he will be looking to take some sort of plea, either to a lesser offense, or maybe under a first offender program |
| 49 weeks 2 days ago | un-retired jerseys |
I vote no. Once a jersey number has been retired it should not be un-retired. However, if the Ford, Oosterbaan, and Kramer families approve of the change, then I do not have a big problem with it. But I still remember the un-retiring of LB Joe Schmidt's number [another Lions disaster] so I just think it is a bad idea. |

| 1 year 7 weeks ago | it may not matter |
it may not matter what "reasonable" people say-----if burke wants out of college then whether he is first round, second round, or undrafted free agent is irrelevant it is a little discouraging to see how many players have felt they were better off leaving michigan rather than staying [just off the top of my head, morris, smotrycz, brundige, christian, now maybe burke].

| 1 year 12 weeks ago | my gripe is a little different |
I understand that the primary [but not the only] goal of this athletic department is to maximize revenue. Therefore, while I don't like it when ticket prices go up, I acknowledge that the university has the right to charge what the market will bear. What irks me is the way the university tries to have it both ways, by talking about the "Michigan family" and other statements that imply that the university has some sort of emotional bond with its fans and alumni. I actually don't mind being a customer, [customers are entitled to a fair price, good service, etc.,] i just ask the school not to pretend that I am anything other than a source of revenue. |

here is what i posted on the "clowniform" thread once again the Michigan staff has proven that it is way, way, smarter than total failures like the New York Yankees, the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers, and other teams who have deluded themselves into thinking that a clean, classic, and consistent look is worth a lot. Perhaps the basketball team will soon adopt Detroit Piston teal as a fourth color.

| 1 year 30 weeks ago | but ours are/were just as bad |
1. As Bando pointed out, these OSU helmets do look like something OSU has worn before. 2. With the uniforms we have worn this year, I think it will be a long time before Michigan fans can criticize what other teams wear.
