While I am not sure what the mechanism would be for getting rid of BoT members before their term, it is nice to see the Dr. Upda doing some proactive house cleaning.

Listened to the Believed podcast by Michigan Radio and NPR. Truly heartbreaking to hear just how many adults and people in leadership positions failed these women. There are so many more people that need to go besides just to the top of the pyramid.

I already proactively sabotaged my oldest daughter (freshman in HS) by recounting this and other sordid Staee stories. Doubt she'll consider going there now.

This would be about the time that Section 1 would helicopter in to lecture us about how John Engler, father of not one, not two, but 3 daughters, was crucified by a PC witch hunt that has also drowned Bob Young, a good and decent lawyer, in its wake.

not clear that "pos" is the correct title someone who went to segregated schools as a child, harvard undergrad and law school and former supreme court justice, who is getting his full pay contracted for with michigan state [state has the right to withhold $$$ if fired for cause]
if young had done wrong, then why did not udpa castigate young for it now that young is fired? even worse, why pay young in full---why not claim the termination was "for cause"?

Youngs background only makes his conduct at MSU aiding in the Nassar cover up all the more odious.
If you overcome your own background as a marginalized student, it’s disgusting you would then take that education and attempt to use it to marginalize sexual assualt victims.
So yes, he’s a POS.

While I didn’t agree with it, Young was doing exactly what he was hired to do in being Engler's super aggressive flamethrower running a scorched Earth legal defense strategy.
