|13 hours 25 min ago||That is the biggest win of the fall season so far||
Without Brandon, there is hope.
|13 hours 30 min ago||I didn't either||
That is awesome. I think he has more than Brian!
|1 day 22 hours ago||I have always wondered about this||
People all thought it was great when Hoke said his goal in college was to try to drink every beer in Podunk Indiana when he was in college. And when he preached toughness. Why does Michigan always want to win on physical play? Being a strong academic school, shouldnt we try to win with smarts over physicality? Bring back Fritz Crisler's Mad Magicians!

ESPN has what you have right now on their website
|3 days 17 hours ago||Welcome back||
Glad this worked out. It must have been painfull for a while.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Pitchfork is such a better choice.||
Never understood why people go for torches.
|3 weeks 18 hours ago||yeah he does||
About 18,000 to 6,000....
18,000 is a lot of points for someone to take down other than a mod.....
|3 weeks 18 hours ago||Wow||
This has more potential than our football team....
|3 weeks 1 day ago||So are you saying||
That our coaches arent good at halftime adjustments? I didnt see a conclusion?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Is he not toxic now?||
What more does it take? I feel like Brandon is more toxic than RRod was at this point.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Also put it in perspective||
While Ross is an enormous donor who has made very impressive donations to the University that have likely greatly enriched a lot of things, the University's endowment was $8.4 billion in 2013. I believe Ross has donated around $300 million or 3.5%. He is a big voice, but no individual donor is going to be the only voice.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||33-16 looking pretty good now||
In reference to your footer. The class of 2015 is at 28-17 with 6, maybe 7 games to go.
Plus, you were 3-1 against Ohio, 1-1 against ND, 2-2 against State and 2-2 in bowl games.
Although the class of 2011 is modern day worst, went 24-26.........0-4 against Ohio, 3-1 against ND, 1-3 against State, 1-1 bowl games.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Really both are pretty bad.||
While I agree that the defense is nowhere near the ineptness of last years running games, being 51st in scoring defense is pretty bad. Expectations in year 4 at Michigan are much higher.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Yes he would stay but||
How much evidence do you need? We are 3-7 in our last 10 B1G games and 3-10 against Power5 conference teams.
Hypothetically the Pistons can be NBA champions this year.
I was shocked he wasn't fired after Rutgers.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Well, on the bright side||
We are only 1.5 underdogs on Sagarin against Penn State after you factor in home field.
That makes it essentially a toss up.
That is better than I thought it would be.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I wonder.||
Who do you think Brandon thinks are his customers?
Seems to me he thinks it only is the 931 student athletes and big donors.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Valid point on Mack Brown||
I dont think Threet (or Sheridan or Cone) would have needed to light it up though. The QB would have been a game manager type QB that would have handed off a lot to Carlos Brown and Brandon Minor. We actually stayed in a lot of games that year for a while and lost due to turnovers (often on special teams). I dont think Carr would have had as many issues there as while special teams have never been a strength at Michigan, the dropped punts in 2008 were almost comical there was so many.
Anyways, no need to debate as we will never know and it really doesnt matter.
Clearly would have been better to either have gone to someone with a similar scheme as Carr (the whole Michigan Man bs) or gotten the proper buy-in from those close to the Athletic Dept that a change could be ugly initially.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I disagree even more||
I think Lloyd goes 7-5 or better. The personnel remaining were better fit to Carr's offense. The defense was actually ok that year. Biggest problem they had was bad field position due to the offense's inability to move the ball and turnovers (remember how many punts we dropped?).
Given that Lloyd coached 13 seasons and never did worse than 7-5, I doubt he would have in 2008.
It was a terrible year to transition, I agree.
But it doesnt really matter. All in the past now.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Unfortunately||
Ron Zook would probably be an upgrade over what we have now.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Actually 10 is better.||
Allows for more toughness.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||I think we need to continue the pressure.||
Anytime there is blood in the water, you have to finish the situation. Brandon will fight back hard and being a CEO, he will be adept at internal politics. It would be great if Brian gave us some direction as I think we would rally behind him.
There are multiple things that I think could help:
The first 3 are ones that can be done individually:
Then some bigger activities that take some organization are:
Essentially the more the message can be gotten across the better. I also think the focus needs to be on Brandon. Not fire Hoke, not we want Harbaugh. Brandon is the root of the problem. Need to address it there.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Does it really make you wonder?||
I feel like we should all be beyond wondering.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||What are the winnable games?||
I think we have the best chance against Indiana and Maryland at home. Less of a chance against Penn State and at Northwestern. Limited to no chance against MSU and OSU. Best case 3-3? Most likely 2-4? Am I optimistic still?
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Thank you||
I am literally laughing put loud at the Hindenburg flyover.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Really||
Hiring a good coach on paper would be enough to offset hiring a horrible coach on paper that turned out horrible plus coke gate, seat cushion gate, plane skywriting gate, student seating gate, hockey ticket gate, concussion gate and more? Enough to make him a very good AD? That seems like a low standard.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I did have the problem but fine now.||
IPad works well today.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||My friends and I were wondering the same thing||
Metro Detroit bars will be a sea of green. Sad times for the Maize and now mainly Blue. Even us beating Rutgers and State losing to Nebraska is only a minor win.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Doublr||
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Army is the Black Knights||
You may need to scour through Division 2 and 3 to try to find serfs, plebes, etc.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I am not sure they were in dire straights.||
I did a quick google search and found that they were principally owned by Bain Capital which is a big private equity firm with deep pockets. Yes, they were leveraged, but they were profitable in 2003 ($39 million net income) and 2002 ($61 million net income).
