Do you think Harbaugh will actually run the score up?
I mean blatantly. Like going for two when not needed running it up. I really hope so. If he did this, could anyone else see Mork taking a swing or chest bumping Harbaugh after the game? I think he would cause he knows he’s done anyways. How would Harbaugh realistically respond? I think he’d laugh and run off. In a real fight we all know what the outcome would be.

He friggin better! MAXIMUM CRUELTY
November 12th, 2019 at 8:45 PM ^
Dear Lord, let’s just focus on winning the game.
November 13th, 2019 at 8:25 AM ^
I don’t think this offense has the capability to run up the score.
November 13th, 2019 at 11:34 AM ^
Not like we pulled starters before the end of the third quarter against Maryland or anything...
November 12th, 2019 at 4:36 PM ^
No. If that were possible against OSU, then yes. Right now, its get everyone to the OSU game in the best possible shape.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:38 PM ^
You’re probably right
November 12th, 2019 at 6:03 PM ^
DAMMIT. Why does logic and reason ever have to enter the picture?
Unfortunately, this is the right answer.
November 12th, 2019 at 7:54 PM ^
Can't we do both?
November 12th, 2019 at 4:36 PM ^
Yes...and he should. These days, unfortunately, winning isn't enough. You have to look dominant and dismantle teams. Drop a 100 on Sparty.
November 12th, 2019 at 5:30 PM ^
It looks like Mork negged you.
November 12th, 2019 at 5:34 PM ^
Actually, if you are an undefeated team in a Power 5 conference, just winning is enough. You will make the playoff. If you are an independent or team from a minor conference, you need to do more.
November 12th, 2019 at 7:52 PM ^
Actually if Baylor keeps squeaking past inferior Big 12 opponents, I could see them getting left out. Additionally if ND was undefeated as an independent, I could see them getting into the top 4.
November 13th, 2019 at 3:07 PM ^
I would wager a guess that the committee would not leave an undefeated conference champion out, that would cause a major firestorm of controversy.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:37 PM ^
Do you think Dantonio will run up the score? Do you think Fielding Yost will re-incarnate and pop out of the ground and take over the team to run up the score? Do you think anyone on this board actually has any idea what Harbaugh will do?
November 12th, 2019 at 4:39 PM ^
It’s fun to ponder, don’t be a prick.
November 12th, 2019 at 8:03 PM ^
Not trying to be a dick, but let's not get ahead of ourselves? Seems like we're just asking for it with topics like this.
November 12th, 2019 at 5:52 PM ^
What is wrong with you? We all know perfectly well that Yost is in Football's Valhalla, Ufer told us. Pop out of the ground indeed.
November 12th, 2019 at 8:02 PM ^
Damn, you're right -- Oden forsake me!
November 12th, 2019 at 7:06 PM ^
You're fucking weird bro.
November 12th, 2019 at 8:01 PM ^
Cool bro.
November 13th, 2019 at 8:29 AM ^
Well, Coach Harbaugh certainly hasn’t done it so far has he????
November 13th, 2019 at 10:52 AM ^
Nope.
November 13th, 2019 at 8:30 AM ^
Well, Coach Harbaugh certainly hasn’t done it so far has he????
November 13th, 2019 at 10:53 AM ^
Still no.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:38 PM ^
Yes - if he is able...
And, Shea, if I am wrong and he tells you to kneel down on victory formation, you can fake it and throw an extra touchdown to DPJ for good measure
November 12th, 2019 at 4:39 PM ^
No
Just play to win. If it goes up it goes up.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:50 PM ^
That’s what she said
November 12th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
Never not funny.
November 12th, 2019 at 10:12 PM ^
Unless your 17-yo keeps rolling that line out when his grandmother comes over for Sunday dinner.
November 13th, 2019 at 2:17 AM ^
That actually sounds especially funny.
Although, granted, maybe not if you're the parent of said 17-yo.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:39 PM ^
Go for 2? Probably not. Have Dcaff and Milton throw bombs in the 4th when Michigan is up by 35+? Probably. I don’t think he’ll call the dogs off after the game is well in hand.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
Nope. But he wont have to - MSU will quit once we get up two scores or more and then things will just naturally take care of themselves.
Michigan 45-7
November 12th, 2019 at 6:31 PM ^
We rubbed it in Notre Dame’s face in unique ways, like accepting a penalty instead if declining and forcing a punt. I wouldn’t mind something like that.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
I don’t think he would (or should) go for unnecessary 2’s. Why put that on film when you don’t need to? I think he won’t necessarily take his foot off the gas if given the chance. And there is 0% chance of a confrontation afterwards.
November 12th, 2019 at 5:50 PM ^
Urban says you gotta get a bunch of stuff on film, so the other team has extra shit to prepare for. I know it’s Meyer, but, is he wrong?
November 12th, 2019 at 4:41 PM ^
win the game first.
then worry about if/how/when anyone might gloat.
November 12th, 2019 at 6:33 PM ^
Thank you.
And I’m not surprised you are the first person to respond this way.
I’d love this to be a blowout, but I will be just as happy with a 1 point win. After their run, I’ll never take a win over state for granted.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:41 PM ^
What's your deal part deux!
November 12th, 2019 at 4:43 PM ^
I don’t think he will for 1 reason, class. He has it contrary to what media says. I don’t think he will stoop to the level of OSU and MSU and some others.
that being said, I don’t think he will let his foot off the gas if we jump to a big lead either. But I think that will likely be more of getting the team mindset right going into the last 2 games more than “running up” the score. But that’s just my 2 cents
November 12th, 2019 at 4:51 PM ^
Well, he did go for two up 34-0 against Rutgers in the second quarter...
November 12th, 2019 at 5:21 PM ^
I think Rutgers had done some things to tick him off in our New Jersey recruiting. Dantonio seems to have actively avoided antagonizing him of late.
Also, if he did something blatant like that in this game, you've got a high likelihood of a fight or blatant cheap shots happening. Not worth it.
November 12th, 2019 at 8:01 PM ^
Win with character, win with cruelty
November 13th, 2019 at 9:06 AM ^
You just made two completely contradicting statements in two separate paragraphs. Congrats! If you need a quick recap:
Paragraph 1: He won't run the score up because he is classy.
Paragraph 2: He actually may run the score up but it's not because he isn't classy, he's just doing it for the kids.
November 15th, 2019 at 10:45 AM ^
I know this is a "family" matter - but in the 50s Michigan fought to keep MSC out of the Big Ten and it was Michigan that began the "Little Brother" slam.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:45 PM ^
We didn't sign the Geneva Convention; we owe no mercy.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:45 PM ^
Never underestimate the amount of venom that the Spartans bring to their games with us.
The Michigan game is their Super Bowl... every year... for as long as I can remember. Even when Bo was beating them every year, it was never easy.
There are still many good players over there and you can be sure that they will be bringing their "A" Game (and not just A Gap blitzes).
Run up the score? I just want to WIN. If it is 52-0 so much the better but I will never underestimate this beast.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:47 PM ^
I would prefer to respekt the last decade and hope for a well earned victory from one of my favorite gritty but flawed Michigan Wolverines football teams.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:50 PM ^
I’m choosing to remain cautiously skeptical that our offense will ever allow us to be in a “run-it-up” position against Sparty or tOSU.
... it’s not like we’ve been there in forever.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:55 PM ^
its their job to stop us, its not our job to stop playing
November 12th, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Let’s just win the game. I do not see it as being a blow out. MSU will be ready. If Harbaugh tries running into a brick wall all day they are going to struggle to win. Open up the offense and let’s see more than 1 pass over 30 yards.
