You Tube Comments
This may be a horrible thread to start, but every once in a while i will read the comments below Michigan videos on You Tube and just be amazed at how uneducated the comments. For example i just read this one today,
"lol, every year michigan thinks its "their time". you all were sayin the same stuff last year until you got into the conference schedule and got destroyed. If there is one thing a typical Big 10 defense can do, it's stop the run. This offense won't work in the Big 10. For everybody that thinks robinson is gonna win the heisman - he was on the team last year and didn't start. Why? All the sudden he can throw? Get real. When he is forced to throw down field, we'll see the same thing we did in 2009" (daytonkid11)
Besides the obvious idea of why watch a Michigan hype video when you are not a Michigan fan, the comment about Denard not starting last year really makes me laugh. I guess this kid has never heard of "coaching."
Anyways, i was just wondering what comments on You Tube or any other site have really just pissed you off?

That's your mistake. Save yourself the stress.

at least i am not reading the comments on ESPN. I have heard those are pretty bad as well.

So many better things to do!
Example 1: MGoBlog
Example 2: See Above

If mlive comments are the armpit of the internet, youtube comments are the cockroach-infested pus-covered boils full of maggots on a babboon's asshole of the internet.

Well that certainly was descriptive.

Does your name happen to be Fred Jackson?!

I agree.
September 29th, 2010 at 6:29 PM ^
If this is the start of a trend where every inflammatory comment against Michigan from YouTube, MLive, RCMB, etc. then I'm leaving MGoBlog and never coming back.

but today I heard someone say they hate RR and don't like Michigan.
I couldn't believe my ears.
So I went over and socked him in the jaw. That'll teach him.

I thought you were just a mouth and two eyes, ._.
September 29th, 2010 at 7:43 PM ^
I actually read it on youtube and then wrote a strongly worded comment back.

After extensive consideration of your argument, my friend and I have decided it would be inadvisable for you to continue, for we have both become quite proficient in the shooting arts, and we may have to waste a rim fire cartridge on your backside.

I've got to say, Blaze, that cracked me up. May have been one of your funniest comments in a while.

I can picture the kid wearing a cocked sideways Cincinnati reds hat (with random colors not even red/black/white), Jordan Nike mesh shorts, a wife beater and Timberlands.

so to them it's a safe haven because that's where all the bandwagoners go to shove it in the faces of other fans "how great the buckeyes are" and "how awesome ohio state is" when a majority of them didn't even attend college there. Just ignore it man you have to have something better to do than go around complaining about youtube comments for God sake.
September 29th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
to say you can't root for a team if you didn't go to school there?

No one has ever gotten anything from reading YouTube comments aside from a mental aneurysm.
September 29th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
I would have a bot set up to auto-neg any thread with "youtube comment" in the title.
September 29th, 2010 at 8:02 PM ^
WTF is that?

This is actually pretty good for a Youtube argument. There's, like, a hypothesis, and evidence to support it. If Mark May said this on ESPN I wouldn't think anything of it. I'd be all "lol mark may," but I tend to be all "lol mark may" anyway.

I don't allow crap like that on my videos. Rival fans and other opponents fans are welcome to post comments but I delete any comments that consist of "Michigan sucks and always will suck because they're Michigan, yadda, yadda, yadda." I'm amazed when I visit other UM channels and they leave those kind of comments on.
An OSU fan actually posted this on my channel a couple hours ago...

You have always and will always be my favorite subscription on youtube. I don't see how some one could hate on your video posts. I'm not sucking up either because I watch your videos everyday both on my laptop and blackberry.

That comment doesn't really bother me, b/c a) the dude is a fan of another team and just hating (all teams have fans that do that) and b) he would probably say those things to a Michigan fan's face if he had the chance.
The comments that really bother me are the racist or sexist or profanity laced comments that some guy is making behind anonymity that you know he would be ashamed to make if his identity was revealed.
September 29th, 2010 at 9:25 PM ^
fewer and fewer people seem to have a sense of shame anymore. :(

Pretty much.

A friend of mine lost a arm to an IED in Iraq. Now he does advanced prosthetics research. He was part of a group that figured out a way to wire up and measure signals from the remaining muscle and interpret what he was trying to do with his fingers. As a training demo, they hooked it up to Guitar Hero. They posted a video (breifly, DARPA made them take it down) of "no-handed guitar hero". One of the first few comments: "That's cool, but I wouldn't cut an arm off for it."
September 30th, 2010 at 7:36 AM ^
I will admit that this may be showing too much faith in humanity ...
but I want to say that comment may have been a joke.
