You're the OC: What do you do?

Enough of the whining... we are playing a very solid team.  So, you are Borges.  What do you do in the second half?  The only thing I'd suggest is having Funchess involved more.  This defense is as advertised...

Dude I don't know. This offensive line is getting killed. No time for Devin. He still has 160 yards, but good lord. This is so frustrating. That TD M surrendered was huge AND they get the ball first. This sucks.

The only positive is we can pin them at the 25.  They haven't shown me they can drive any better than we can. Only difference is that they finished once.  Side note: How do all our interceptions turn into completions?  It's aggravating to say the least.

Every play, just throw at deep. We have done well throwing down the field today, and It couldn't be worse than running the read option on 1st down and play action on 2nd.

Too many drops and misfires, and those shorter passes aren't Gardner's specialty. You have to be awfully efficient to dink and dunk your way 80 yards. A pick or a couple of drops and all that work goes for naught.

Football fans are idiots. The second anything goes wrong, it's demonize the coaches, demonize the players, demonize the refs, demonize the announcers. If you're looking for intelligent discussion, this is neither the time nor place.

Yea more Funchess.  Only complaint from my amateur ass is the Devin keep on 3rd and short in the red zone after the Chesson bomb.  Theyr'e stout.  Sh*ts gonna be tough.

Can we do some crossing routes that Sparty does, will that work against the Sparty defense?  Otherwise yea, do what Notre Dame did and take a few more shots vertical, especially with Funchess.

I would work the TE underneath some and shorten up the routes a bit unless utilizing play action fake. I don't like zone read at all. They are attacking it as soon as see it.

I don't think play action will work.  They are sending the back side straight to the QB on PA instead of following the QB (I think).  That would mean a counter should work.  So there, a counter is what I'd do.

I've liked the offense for the most part. I'd try to roll Devin out more so he can throw the ball away instead of taking sacks. The down side is you lose 50% of the field to throw to when you do it, but I'd try to mix it up a little.

A big stand, 3 and out here to open the half would be great, take some good field position and and unleash some fury.  Keep your heads up guys, they're doing okay out there.  Not great, but okay.  Go Blue.

We are facing the number 1 D in the country and we are only down 7 at the break.  Except for that last drive, our D is playing lights out - only 29 rushing yds given up to RB's, and Cook is 10/18.

We have moved the ball in spots - just shot ourselves in the foot with a bad snap, the 3rd and short fail, etc.

It's just a tight game, and we are very much in it.  We need the D to keep shutting them down and see if Borges can find the right tweaks for the second stanza...

Borges is not the problem! We were promised fundamental football with this staff. It was delivered with a bunch of guys not recruited by this staff for the last two years! These guys may be young, but the play at the line on both sides of the ball is awful! We are not tough! We are the kids that get bullied because we are weak!

It's been said...stop with the silly PA so much. Use it, but not as a staple. Dink and dunk your way down the field with short passes.

When those safeties move up, then go PA pass with the deep ball and double moves on the outside.

There's realy not much you CAN do... this offensive line just isn't experienced enough to handle their defense, I'm afraid.

Is what it is, this is a tough game to win especially in East Lansing when you get zero calls. If that wasn't offensive pass interference I've never seen it..
