I will admit I ragged him, but not for what he said. The fact that he posted damning heresay without verification, and I still have a problem with it. However, he is right, and so let my negging commence.

It wasn't hearsay. He had a copy of the e-mail. The question was whether it was fraudulent. Since he knew the person who gave it to him he was able to make a determination whether that person would mislead him.

started long before the email fiasco. His detractors just used this specific incident as an excuse to get louder with their opinions.
Considering all the things Michigan has done to turn off the younger generation of (football) fans it is nice to know some of those individuals can still love Michigan unconditionally. Why that upsets anyone one on this site I do not know...

Other way around, you mean. If the word gets out the emails are legit and that there are more, the credit will continue to go to MGoBlog and the site will recieve occasional media attention and increased traffic. For selfish as well as business reasons, it's always been in Brian's best interest to verify these claims. As WD was the one that initiated public excitement for DB's unprofessional communication skills through email, he will essentially be responsible for anything good heading MGoBlog's way related to all of this.
Brian and the boys need to buy WD a bottle of Dom.

WD presented the email that created this firestorm. Olbermann referenced it on air on ESPN. Not very many people believed WD, especially after an mgobloggers's FOIA request came up empty - which we now know is because they delete everything
At that point WD took a self-imposed MGoBan and we haven't seen him since. Well he was right and is owed many apologies now
