What do you wanna see for tomorrow’s game

What do you guys wanna see tomorrow besides a dominant win?

I wanna see

1. Good DT play and more subs along the d-line.

2. A good mix of zone and man coverages.

3. Dax Hill making plays all over the field.

4. Milton with some touch passes and a deep throw at least once a quarter.

5. Chris Evans 1 on 1 with option routes against a LB.

Pressure from the D line and swarming gang tackles.

Charbonnet over 100 yards providing snaps of 2nd and short.

Sound decision making and accuracy from Milton.

I'll be happy with average DT and CB play, and a QB game that rivals Shea's from last year.  Yeah, gimme last years Shea because we know Milton has the guts to use his arm, where Shea did not.  I'm not worried about him pulling and running - I would've pulled more than Shea did last year!

But also, I want to see the offense pick up where it left off in the bowl game, doing similar things.  Only with a QB that isn't afraid of his own arm...

Prolly a big ask for game 1 but I’d love to see a close approximation of the ND game from last year on offense. ND defense last year should be as good or better than most we face this season. So I’d hope that performance on offense is the standard by mid season.

On D the front 7 dominant and the DBs look like they belong with a few mistakes and room for growth.

Zach charbonnet early and often on the way to 100 yard rushing game.

One long touchdown pass to AJ Henning from Sir Joseph Milton. I'm visualizing it so shall it be.

Over 200 yards rushing as a team and over 200 yards passing in a balanced up-tempo attack.

Very few turnovers committed. I'd love for that number to be zero.

Vincent Gray elite coverage. and to find out that the secondary is surprisingly good.

Outstanding pressure from our defensive front.

Our defense looking so good on the line with the headline three potential future first rounders along with depth jeter Kemp upshaw villain etc.

At least one major game-changing special teams play in our favor.

1) Dominant Run game

2) Smart decisions by Milton

3) minimum of 5 passes to RB / Spread H back (ie Evens / Jackson)

4) At least 3 deep shots down field (Think Culpepper to Moss for those old enough to remember)

5) Solid DT play, particularly from Hinton and others not named Kemp

6) Solid play from our CB ( no blown coverages like Illinois Pasa D we witnessed tonight)

7) Game changing plays from Hill/McGrone/Ross/Barrett

8) Nordin splitting the uprights

9) Hart with solid punting

That about covers everything.....

More than anything else, I want to see solid play by the offensive line. Because we lost a chunk of the line to the NFL, we might not be as talented and good early on but the potential is there to be better than average.

It'll be the difference between a struggling Michigan offense under an inexperienced QB, and a productive Michigan offense that opens holes for our talented RBs and gives time for Joe Milton to deploy his heavy artillery.

1.) I want to see the DL put pressure on MN QB or else he will pick our secondary apart. 2.) MN will be trying to stop the run, so they will be tight on the line. Joe will need to pass to soften that packed D and open up the running game. I would like to see 40 pass / 60 run ratio. 3.) Joe needs smart with the football, no turnovers!

I don't know if it's the grind at work, the fires, the covid, the riots....

but I am just happy we are playing

it's weird but the result doesn't feel as urgent as usual for me

it's about the routine, the crisp fall air

I am starting to get up for the game and I've made all the necessary preparations

just feeling appreciation right now

Milton throw 4 TD passes and show he really has developed. All the talk of NFL scouts loving his practice film and all the hype is just that till he plays a game. He is 6'6 with a cannon arm. if Harbaugh found a way to develop him he is the kind of body that could be a 10-15 year NFL player. and that is why the spotlight is on him.

Chris Evans to show he is the #2 RB and them to tag team Minnesota for 150 + yards on the ground

Our CB's which is our worst position for depth to show that the pieced together CB rotation with a safety getting moved over will be good enough to not get burned a dozen times a game. Tanner Morgan will burn us badly if not.

Seth's Neck Sharpie went into a lot of detail about how P.J. runs a fairly simple but very effective offense. That leads me to believe they're going to execute better. So ... what I wanna see is Michigan executing at least as well, i.e. not looking like a typical Week One Michigan football team. If they come reasonably close to that, I think this one's in the bag.

1. Zach Charbonnet score a TD from outside the 20 yard line.

2. Vincent Gray stick with Bateman on a fly/fade route and at least make him need to make a contested catch.

3. A defensive line with both Jeter and Hinton on the field not get blown off the ball.

4. Run plays that mess with Minnesota's young linebackers see Michigan running backs shoot into the secondary untouched similar to the ND game last year.

5. One or fewer interceptions by Milton.
