Did Jones double-dribble? Maybe too close to call? If the defender interfered with the ball and Jones retained it, then started dribbling again, I guess that's legit? Looked a little iffy. But I suppose the refs evaluated. . . and they always get these things right in the end.

The reffing in that game was beyond horrible. Not only did the Duke player foul the UNC player on the in-bounds, but he’s the one who knocked it out! Then they miss Jones pushing off only to call a foul on UNC.

Theres a play there at the end where the Duke player went out of Bounds before passing in side to get 2 ..Was I the only one who saw that?? they were replaying but not for that and I was Like Damm he stepped out of bounds but nobody said a word about it?

Fuck North Carolina basketball. They are equal with Duke in terms of the hate factor. I'm glad they experienced another loss that will haunt them forever.
After that 25 year academic scandal and zero punishment, you have to take the joy whenever you can get it. And them looking like they won't even be eligible for the NIT is just glorious.

No, but I agree allowing it was the right call. The defender got a whole lot of ball before he “dropped it” and picked it back up. I think it was a play on.

Ball was clearly knocked out of his hands between the two acts of dribbling. Bilas talked about it potentially being a double-dribble at the time, and replay showed that it was not.

yeah pretty bad result for UM, a UNC win would have made them look better for our SOS, they went from 94 to 89 in the net by losing at home, imagine if they won by 7 or 8, like they should have. Net takes into account margin of victory.
I followed the game online and the UNC twitter handle basically said, reffing was bad, but they just take care of free throws and it's a win.
