Big ten is a strong conference this year, maybe the strongest. But I'm not sure we have a team that can win it all.

Also there is a ton of parity across conferences this year outside the SEC and ACC. Big 12 is four deep, Pac 12 has been beating itself up so nobody is hardly ranked, and even our middle class - NW, Wiscy, Penn St - are all fringe top 25 teams. Not to mention the four legitimate top 15 teams we have this year.

Despite the fact I think the SEC and ACC have two of the weaker conferences this year, I think they may have the two best teams in the country. Of course, they may just look better because of how weak their conferences are.

they are better than you think, and are playing really well at the right time. Nothing flashy but good team football. I think you can win the Big Ten,  on a national scale, would bama run train on them....probz, but I thnk match up wise...they can beat msu.. esppecially without cook.

We are the highest ranked two-loss team, which I think is right given that we are one bad snap and a compounding bad decision to try to punt anyway and a flukey, lucky bounce away from being 10-1 and ranked #3.

I'm glad for Rudock's improvement, but I'm really excited to see a season where Harbaugh's QB didn't start learning the system and players in August.

Why is there a coaches poll? Honest question. Everyone knows that coaches themselves don't do the polls. It is the SID's who are already way too busy dealing with the press to make an educated ranking. The coaches poll is the most ignorant pointless poll in all of sports.

If the coaches were given until, say, Tuesday morning to cast their votes, I might even believe they gave the voting a good effort. But having the results sent in Sunday morning to be released by 1:00 ET leaves no room for belief in a credible effort. Particulalry for coaches playing an away game, a night game, or West Coast coaches in general (talking about Saturday games here).

that win will not be as shiny as the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State winner...still pull for TCU, though.

I think that Oklahoma is the best team in the country right now.
