He was just a kid at the time, barely out of high school.

Partridge moved to co-defensive coordinator.  Fisch and Baxter were forced out.  Washington went home.  Mattison is a traitor by nature.

Clemson should not be #2. …

Clemson should not be #2.  They got lucky that NC made a stupid play call, else they would of lost that one.  Had Michigan been ranked #1 and played a game like Clemson did yesterday, it would have been out of the top 10 for sure.

This has got to be one of…

This has got to be one of the weirdest and dumbest things I have ever seen.

Well, if Fields (and…

Well, if Fields (and probably many other suckeyes) don't have to think about school for the first 4-5 weeks of the season, then they have an advantage against other teams because they can just focus on football.  I think it's an unfair advantage, obviously.

Day appears to be running…

Day appears to be running things (day-to-day operations) exactly as Meyer did, so an attempted "cloning" of Meyer by Day might not be too far off.  However, he is not Meyer and so the chances that he's as good or better are slim.

Week days during the school…

Week days during the school year, I'm in bed by about 8:45 PM and up by 4:15 AM.  Weekends and summer time, usually about 9:45 - 6 AM.

He said he left because he…

He said he left because he wanted to "coordinate", not because it pays more.  Regardless, if you make every decision based on money, at some point your character is going to be compromised.

Well, he took Enos last year…

Well, he took Enos last year, who is now the OC at Alabama.

He's their Co-Offensive…

He's their Co-Offensive Coordinator.  Means that Clemson has 2 OC's.  Can Harbaugh snag one of them?

Except that Shea was off on…

Except that Shea was off on his passing all day yesterday (consistently short/low) and when he was on target, it seemed his receivers couldn't come down with it.  The team was just way out of sync, all the way around.

Maybe his daughter and…

Maybe his daughter and Michigan agree that Ann Arbor is where she should be.  Would be incredible to have the brothers and parents re-united again in AA

Notre Dame got away with the…

Notre Dame got away with the pick play as well, clear as day on their first 3rd and 10 conversion in the first quarter. It was a big play/non-call.  If the refs called it, the rest of the game would have turned out differently, IMO. Teams are getting away with it, unfortunately.

The 4 passes are probably…

The 4 passes are probably gone already.  In general, how does someone get passes to WTKA Victors Lounge?

Well, I do remember see…

Well, I do remember see Harbaugh yell "Great call Pep" in a video after a Michigan offensive play, so I'd say it was Pep calling the passing plays last year and Drevno the run plays.

Yeah,  all block needs to be…

Yeah,  all block needs to be improved. The wide receiver blocking, in particular, is very under-whelming.

Get rid of it.  The picture…

Get rid of it.  The picture chosen is just wrong.

I hate Michigan-based…

I hate Michigan-based recruiting and board analysts talking down Michigan and its players.  That's just not right.

Braylon, is that you?  Your Twitter apology was trash - not accepted.

They won, but they still…

They won, but they still crapped the bed.

Shea Patterson is really…
  • Shea Patterson is really good and will only get better as he builds chemistry with his receivers.
  • Nico Collins - he really is good
  • Punting was good.
  • Ambry Thomas is a real threat on kick returns - hopefully, he has a few more TD's in store this season.  His stride reminded me of Breaston.
  • Defense made adjustments and shut them down in the 2nd half.
  • Chris Evans is a real weapon catching the ball out of the back field - use him more!

LOL, the way it is actually:

Honesty? Treat women with respect? NO!   Drugs! Stealing! Weapons!

So, in essence, they're telling their team not to be honest and don't treat women with respect. However, do drugs, steal, and carry weapons.  LOL ZS was just following directions.....

Great stuff!  The podcast is always a great listen.  I love Harbaugh!

Tony Soprano.

No one else is even close.

The Sopranos.

The Sopranos.

THE END.

I don't really find many…

I don't really find many people who "love" their job, so what is your job?  What do you love about it?

How idiotic. If you only…

How idiotic. If you only look at Harbaugh's Big Ten record, then eh, can't argue. But, he's coached elsewhere and none of the other 3 would have taken an NFL to 3 straight NFC Championships and a Super Bowl in his first 4 seasons.  In fact, all 3 would be disasters in the NFL, just as king Saban was.  Wasn't it only a couple of seasons ago where Franklin was on the hot seat?? Now, he's a better coach then Harbaugh??? LOL, no -he's had a  better last 2 seasons.

My gosh

People act like the two teams are even in all ways up to the game..ugh.  OSU has had a pretty big talent edge and we know that talent makes a big difference.  Michigan has the coaching edge, which has given the team a chance the last couple of seasons.  No matter how good the coaching or the game plan, when the game is on the line, the players (talent) have to execute and unfortunately, Michigan's players did not.  This coming season, Michigan will finally have top-notch QB talent, experienced WR talent, seasoned RB's, improved OL talent, and of course a top-rated defense with a lot of talent.....and all at the same time.  The future is bright!

Here are mine

Oldies, but goodies:

  • The Sopranos (best show ever)
  • Breaking Bad
  • Six Feet Under
  • The Wire

Newer, but really good:

  • Ozark
  • Broadchurch
  • Game of Thrones
  • Big Little Lies

I have a hard time getting into shows, but the above did the trick. The Sopranos is the only show I can watch more than once - watched it 3 times and will watch again...truly a masterpiece all the way around.

My thoughts

- High quality wifi

- Better and less expensive food choices. For example, how about hot dogs that are truly grilled, instead of those steam/boiled hot dogs (gross) they sell for $7 now.  Don't sell stale dry pretzels (choking hazard). How about nachos with something more than just cheese and jalapenos (where's the beef?)?  The last time I had something at Michigan stadium that tasted good was when Mr. Spots had a concession stand there abou 8/9 years ago.

- Sell beer / alcohol

- Give away pom poms during big games, especially night games (remember Under the Lights? the pom poms were great)

Question for you

Did you eventually get into Grad School?  I know someone who graduated with a 2.9 and he's thinking about starting grad school soon.

Outside of unrealistic Michigan fans

Almost nobody predicted any more than 8 wins for Michigan.  The 8-5 season wasn't a suprise to non-Michigan folks, including Amazon. Michigan's record was actually better than what would be expected with the youth, inexperience, and injuries it had.   So, the idea that Amazon won't air it because of the 8-5 season doesn't make sense.  Maybe the original plan was to cover 2 seasons - the season of struggle and then the season of triump - makes for a good story.

This right here

This right here pretty much sums up the 2017-2018 season and a great reason for optimism with Patterson at QB:

"Michigan often just lacked a QB who could get his feet set and deliver a quick, catchable ball to make the most of conflicted defenders"

I remember

I do remember Mr. Spots having a stand there making philly sandwiches and I have to say that since they left 4-5 years ago (?) I have not found any concession food I actually like, except for the kettle corn.  The kettle corn is really good.

Yesssss!!!

He's a decent DC, but not a great one. I am glad he's staying.  BTW, I heard on another site that he was never offered the job.  Fake opportunity to create fake publicity for OSU.

What?

But, you've already admitted that at the time you were more concerned with getting yourself laid.  Now, as a 50 + year old you care????

Well deserved

Good things ahead for Michigan football!

Make it 16 teams

Make it 16 teams and I'm all in!  Non-playoff bowl games are boring, but making them playoff games instead would increase excitement, viewership, and obviosy revenue.

I wouldn't doubt

I wouldn't doubt that Harbaugh pointed Taggart in Barnett's direction.  Win/win for Harbaugh and Taggart.

OK.

So either way, you're right.

Congrats

Congrats on making something of yourself. You should be very proud of yourself.    I appreciate the post and your attitude and completely agree with it.

Game for 2nd place in the SEC

Auburn beat both Alabama and Georgia.  This isn't a national championship game, but rather a game to see who is the 2nd best team in the SEC after Auburn.

Huh?

Isn't Michigan football what this site is pretty much all about?  Should we all leave now?  You're disppointed, as all we Michigan fans are, but don't be irrational.

This one...

He's obviously in training to be the next annoying OSU superfan...

Uhhhh....

Eliminate the conference championships and in an 8 team playoff, there would be no more games for the 8 teams there there is now for the 4 teams - 15 games.  This season's eventual national champion will have played 14-15 games in the season.

16 teams

16 teams would be great!  It would make it more exciting.  How exciting would the NCAA Tournament be if it only had 4 or 8 teams in it? Not very.  Let 16 teams play it for the national championship. Most fans would love it!

Rather than wait a month to play the first playoff game, get them going with 8 games two weeks after the end of the regular season (no conference championships), then weekly games until the national championship. This season could have been:

8 games on December 9

4 games on December 16

2 games on December 23

National Championship on January 2nd

Playoffs

I want a 16 team playoff, but if Harbaugh wants 16 I DEFINITELY want 16. I don't get the argument that it diminishes the regular season schedule.  You still have to be good to make the playoffs and all the games matter.   All other sports have a playoff and we never hear "the playoffs diminish the regular season."  Nobody complains about the 60+ teams that make the NCAA basketall tournament and nobody complains when Michigan gets in as the 6th (24th best) or 10th (40th best team) seed.  Maybe we should skip all the other rounds of the NCAA tournament and just hold the final 4 since they are the 4 best teams.... why give a 6th seed a chance to be national champion when they weren't one of the best 4 teams at the end of the regular season??

The playoffs are exciting because anybody that's in them can win, not just any of the 4 teams voted in by biased men sitting around a table being all subjective about everything, changing their criteria to fit their wants, and then tell fibs about why they selected which teams and not others. Playoffs because the teams have to actually PLAY it out.  If you're in it, you can win it and I like that.

Really really enjoyed this one

I really enjoyed listening to the podcast.  Great stuff!
