TomVH: About This Weekend
I had posted this on Wednesday or Thursday, I can't remember, but then deleted it because I didn't think he wanted it out there. Since it's been out now for awhile and people are asking I'll just post that Kyle Kalis is visiting with his family this weekend.
Like I've said before I think he wants a decent amount of privacy with all this, so I was surprised that this was out there. I spoke with him last night and he hadn't settled on a day to visit yet. I'll talk to him tomorrow to find out if he's coming in tomorrow or Sunday. He wants his mom to see everything that he saw on his last visit. This is a big deal for Michigan.
Are the coaches in AA right now?
I haf heard they are on vacation. I hope that the school itself along with his own glowing reviews about it are enough to convince his mom.
Funk would take a day off from his family to pick up a player like Kalis.
I guess it all depends on where he is right now. I'm sure if we get his mom into the academic center to speak to one of the advisors she will be sold. I heard moms like those sorts of things.
So do dads.
I'm so drunk with happiness, I should be in AA right now.
RIGHT? HIGH FIVE?
ANYONE?
No?
No? That's cool. No big deal.
STILL NO?
Gotcha. No problem...
....right, still no.
High Five!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's cool guys I work at zingermans and delivered food to jake long lloyd carr yesterday, so he can just talk to them about michigan and offensive lineman, its all good.
Thanks as always, Tom. Hopefully the trend of comitting in pairs continues
I've been enjoying a glass, myself. Yum, indeed, good sir; Yum, indeed.
Actually, I've been waiting to taste how sweet they are with a little aging... maybe in November.
Go Blue Kyle!
its been confirmed on a GBW forum that Kyle Kalis is visiting Sunday the 10th
Good news! Thanks Tom.
How did my comment get negged?
When a recruit comes back for a second time to show his parents, that is a big deal. Hopefully he and his family won't get bugged too much and his parents will like UM! May be a future HELLO!
Thanks Tom, both for the update and for respecting Kyle's wishes.
We have been faithful and true as of late, and we have been rewarded well.
buckle up!!!
It's my B-day. I want to continue the really good weekend. Happy b-day to Isiah Bell also, we were born on the same day.
Would be a nice gift!
Today is also (honestly) my birthday. Happy B-Day!!!
My birthday is today as well! Happy Birthday to all "9th Of July" folks!
A lot of MGoconception in early November, I guess.
Happy Birthday Mom!
Oh man! HUGE in more ways than one. Go Blue!
Click it or ticket it time people
Huge for UM i cant wait! COMMIMENT WATCH!!!
Can we convince the folks at Blimpy's not to yell at him or his family?
Doubtful, better skip Blimpy's until after enrollment.
I've seen them yell at people who have garnered enough respect otherwise to not be yelled at......Blimpy's is not "Level 1 Ann Arbor", if you will. As someone said, once enrolled, he can eat there to his heart's content.
and wait until TomVH tells us more. Go enjoy your weekend everyone.
I'm setting up my "chicken with a top hat bobbing thing" to hit F5 all weekend Homer Simpson style.
Shout out to Tom Strobel, good work on the recruiting front, son!
almost forgot about Strobel working behind the scenes. Imaginary +1 and a great weekend to you sir.
Bringing the rest of the family up for another visit this soon is a very big deal. The UM family will welcome Kalis and his family with open arms.
we're freaking out over the possibility of a kid as talented and as high character as you visiting Michigan with your family, but we also appreciate what a difficult decision this may be for you. We hope whatever decision you do make is the right one for you and if you commit to noone until NSD then we perfectly understand.
Sincerely,
Michigan fans.
Tom I just want to take a second to say thank you for all that you do for us. Always classy with your info and always considerate of incoming recruits wishes with the info that you give out. Keep up the great work. You are greatly appreciated.
As far as Kalis goes can I just say EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Has anyone else realized we can only average about one "Hello" post per month until signing day. This spring and early summer has spoiled me. I'm glad it's happened this way but I'm gona miss the excitement.
I thought about that too. Pretty good problem to have, I think.
This is a GREAT problem to have! Also, I hope we get our last commit just before the first game against Western. Then all the games will hold us over. Then we can watch all our gentlemen coming in dominate their respective All-Star games (can anyone make a list about who is and isnt going to an all-star game?). This will be an exciting ride!
Also thanks for the reminder to buckle up...going to an amusement park today, so it is a friendly reminder for me in more ways than one!
The caliber of those late commits should be quite good thanks to the staff's early success (also high caliber kids, which allows coaches to dream BIG in late stages).
