I got yelled at by a baby boomer today as he cut in line at the gas station (popular station, prices comparable to Costco for some reason). Complaining about how millennials are ruining the world and cursing at me as he claimed I had no grace or compassion.
I don't think he saw the irony. Also, I'm in my mid 40s, so definitely not a millennial.

The people who most need to see the irony are the ones who never do.
And that's my main bitch about that stupid chant: It's lazy. It's not clever or inventive or even funny, like the "Ugly Goalie!" chant at Yost. It's more a case of "Look - we can be dickheads like everybody else!"

The chant sucks against normal schools too. I don't care about the "bad word." I care that it's so ... witless.
If a student section from U-M wants to yell something in unison, it makes sense for them to want to be proud of it. But this one demotes the school's cleverness rating on national TV.

Frankly, I think the amplitude of the chant's badness outstrips the amplitude of Temptation's greatness (...) to the extent that I favor killing Temptation until (and if) the student section comes up with something funnier/smarter/better.

As a student who sits next to the band, they did not play Temptation once.
Was interested to see what the student section was gonna do since everyone cheered for Army when they were announced. In general, it was probably a good call to just swap Iron Man for Temptation today and keep the students from being...tempted

It was very noticable on the broadcasts last Saturday, and was likely a problem with broadcasters as well, though I'd imagine the directive to nix Temptation came from the President or AD. Still, it was needed. I curse, and am often raunchy and crass, but that chant was shaming the university. It had to stop. I'm glad it did.

I couldn't catch it with just the audio but at one point they focused on the face of this dough faced girl and that made it clear.
I hated the "you suck" chant but this crap just makes us look pathetic and childish.

I enjoy the Wave in general - watching it go around our full bowl is visually impressive (there may be no better stadium for this). But the fourth quarter of a tight game is absolutely not the time for it.

2015. I remember hearing it for the first time in my senior year. It was a minority of students at first and then others caught on to it and now the entire student section does it. The You Suck has been there for long time before that.
