Thank you Jalen, Ambry, Nico, and Dylan!
Let's take a moment to thank these four Wolverines for their contributions over the past few seasons. I'm sure this was a tough choice for all of them, but I 100% support their decision to opt out of the 2020 season.
Each of these players gave us some great Michigan memories, and for that I am grateful! Go Blue!
September 16th, 2020 at 4:27 PM ^
All 4 gifted players and athletes: good luck men!
We need to get rid of the ‘Those who stay’ signs/motto. It has not been true for too long. Our program has way more of a ‘those who leave’ mentality.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
Maybe we change it to - "Those who stay, won't get paid"?
edit: just to be clear, I'm all for these guys opting out and doing what is best for both their playing career and future earnings
September 16th, 2020 at 7:59 PM ^
It is what it is...but the flip side is Michigan isn’t going to contend in the BIG with these moves.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
I wish we could get read of the fans who have mentalities like this.
edit: you fixed your typo of "read" to "rid". I wish I could fix typos in the OP on here....
September 16th, 2020 at 4:30 PM ^
I also would like to read more of what they have to say.
September 16th, 2020 at 8:23 PM ^
Why should they? Look at how many players could have left after 2015 and came back for 2016...a handful of All Americans and 10 NFL picks on that team and still won nothing. Why would they stay and end up like Jake Butt?
September 17th, 2020 at 1:10 AM ^
in 2016 they won nothing because they were royally screwed by refs in columbus. at this point it appears osu players want to stay to win championships, UM players do not. bo's words are indeed lost.
September 17th, 2020 at 4:49 AM ^
Are we still playing the refs screwed us in Columbus card? We still shit the bed against Iowa two weeks before and shit the bed in the bowl game.
September 17th, 2020 at 8:03 AM ^
Michigan choked in Columbus. I meant Speight. Injury probably had something to do with it, but he was responsible for 3 turnovers.

Best of luck to the young men. Sad to see them go and can't help feel like there's so much unfinished business with them all, but such is life in 2020.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:37 PM ^
2020 can suck a #%&!
September 16th, 2020 at 7:54 PM ^
Unless in true 2020 fashion we beat OSU
...haha who am I kidding
September 16th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
Sad to see them go. Onward and upward.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
We could use some more positivity around here. Thanks to these kids, and thank you for posting this
September 16th, 2020 at 8:00 PM ^
F you
this is sarcasm.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:32 PM ^
Yeah, no hate toward these guys making these decisions. Wish them luck.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:40 PM ^
For sure... 4 talented guys who I wish nothing but the best for whether it be the NFL or another college.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:41 PM ^
I wish all of the players well and hope they have long NFL careers.
My excitement level for the season is a little lower as I wanted to see those players in action.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:48 PM ^
Absolutely. Great post. Thanks to them, and thanks to you for thinking a thank you.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:50 PM ^
Good luck gentlemen.
Why does it seem like Michigan is getting hit harder with a once in a lifetime pandemic than any other Big Ten team. Wtf did we do?
September 16th, 2020 at 4:55 PM ^
We lost to OSU right after Bo died. God is still pissed about it.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:57 PM ^
Well maybe he shouldn't have killed Bo the night before the game?
September 16th, 2020 at 6:03 PM ^
I heard he got tired of watching games with Bear Bryant. Apparently he can't stand the sound of his voice, but he got into heaven on a technicality.
September 16th, 2020 at 10:27 PM ^
We're Michigan. That's what we did.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:51 PM ^
Good luck guys. It's good to have Michigan football news even though it's bad news.
September 16th, 2020 at 4:57 PM ^
Loved you guys. Go make UM proud!
September 16th, 2020 at 5:03 PM ^
I can't blame them. Goddammit Delaney I mean Warren
September 16th, 2020 at 5:21 PM ^
Warren had nothing to do with any of the league's decisions.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:14 PM ^
That they did! Dont fault them at all.
Sign with an agent, receive an advance, train and protect your health to get drafted. Smart business decision.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:14 PM ^
Thanks for your insight into your feelings
September 16th, 2020 at 5:24 PM ^
I know. These threads are so pointless. Just a virtue signal for some upvotes.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:30 PM ^
I just don't want to see these guys get shit on for making a decision in the interest of their own health and safety. I've seen the hate that flows on this board daily, and I already know that many people here take football way too seriously.
Now that the season is being played, we should vocally support those players who decide to opt out. That, after all, was one of the main points made by the #LetThemPlay folks. Those who want to sit, can sit. No questions asked.
I do appreciate you guys coming into the thread to make negative comments though. Very helpful.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:42 PM ^
As long as you recognize that expressing incredible amounts of frustration that three of Michigan's best players happen to be the one's sitting out does not equate to people bagging on them, then we are good to go.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:47 PM ^
So recognized. I made no mention at all of posters expressing disappointment about the outlook of the season. Hell, I've made several comments about it myself. I'm expecting us to be pretty bad.
Nonetheless, I will not support any blame being directed at these players, or any others who decide to opt out. The B1G decided to have a season, and these guys didn't feel comfortable playing. Good for them making this decision despite likely feeling a lot of pressure to return.
September 16th, 2020 at 6:30 PM ^
Yeah, bleakin, er Wolverine Devotee just trying for up votes. Virtue signaling just out of control around here.
September 16th, 2020 at 7:10 PM ^
What’s wrong with a little Posbang? No one is happy to see them go, but with the portal and $$$ from the NFL, that is the world we are in. I go back and forth. If I put myself in Nicos shoes, not sure I would do anything different. But, damn, I’m going to miss him under a winged helmet.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:38 PM ^
May Nico have a Brady-like career. He certainly has the talent and the drive.
September 16th, 2020 at 5:54 PM ^
I'll upvote this!
Good luck, boys - I hope we get to see your success in the league some day!
September 16th, 2020 at 6:00 PM ^
Best of luck, gentlemen!
September 16th, 2020 at 6:06 PM ^
Good luck in this crazy world.
September 16th, 2020 at 6:19 PM ^
Thanks.. for breaking our hearts
September 16th, 2020 at 6:49 PM ^
Good luck to all of them! Always hate going through the "What ifs" of a player who decides to leave, but honestly if they were my kid I want what's best for them.
September 16th, 2020 at 7:24 PM ^
I am really happy for these guys getting a chance to pursue their dream but losing 9 starters on offense and 6 on defense is going to make this a rough year.
September 16th, 2020 at 7:29 PM ^
Good luck to all of them
September 16th, 2020 at 7:35 PM ^
Best of luck to all of them - Jalen, Ambry, and Nico - I hope you have long, healthy and successful NFL careers!
Dylan - I hope you land somewhere great and have great success - just not at UMs expense. And then a great NFL career.
Thanks to you all for your exceptional hard work and commitment to make Michigan great.
September 16th, 2020 at 9:50 PM ^
Commitment?
September 16th, 2020 at 7:38 PM ^
Hey, I also came for the virtue signaling circle jerk! These guys are great ambassadors of our research institution of higher learning and may their lives be blessed with great success. I feel really good about myself saying that. Can you imagine OSU fans being so magnanimous? God bless us. We are leaders and best.
