Okay.
*I wrote okay because I thought his return was a foregone conclusion. I didn’t realize there was a chance he would leave.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:04 PM ^
Why are you like this? Just do t respond or open. Douche is not a style.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:19 PM ^
Salvatore sucks. Most his threads inevitably end up in some unnecessary discussion or allusion to WWII, the Cold War, or geopolitical conflicts that are mostly irrelevant to the thread on hand.
It's exhausting. Other than that he offers nothing but douche commentary.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:58 PM ^
And whenever he brings that shit up, he's always wrong.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:09 PM ^
You don’t have the knowledge base to make an accurate assessment of the accuracy of my posts.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:08 PM ^
Bo Harbaugh sucks. Most of his contributions end up in with him insult people because that is all he can give.
It’s exhausting. He offers nothing but inane thoughts.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
All I wrote was “Okay”. Why are you and 25 others offended by a one word response?
January 1st, 2022 at 7:25 PM ^
You know exactly why, don't play stupid, man.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:44 PM ^
I said “Okay”. What you and others think is not the same as my intention.
People really have to stop like acting they are Ms. Cleo.
January 1st, 2022 at 9:37 PM ^
Stop fighting the intention.
"Okay", at most, is a useless post.
Try the upvote button and be done with it -- next time.

I've been lurking round these parts for awhile now, long enough to have opinions about most of the prominent posters. Salvatore sometimes makes good points, frequently has awful taeks, and almost never misses an opportunity to be an asshole.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:15 PM ^
Good news. Always important to have depth on the D-Line.
Also, from Erick All's IG post, it appears he is planning on returning for 2022.

January 1st, 2022 at 5:43 PM ^
I agree he played well yesterday and definitely wasn’t backing down from UGA. Great for the leadership could see him as captain next season
January 1st, 2022 at 6:42 PM ^
Erick All is so fucking good. He will be an All-Pro in the NFL. A truly rare talent.
Tall, reliable receiver. Exceptional speed in the open field. AMAZING blocker who just levels people.
With that combination of abilities, he might be the best TE that I can remember ever playing at Michigan. Seriously, who before him could block like him and STILL be able to outrun a secondary across half of the field for a touchdown??
January 1st, 2022 at 8:19 PM ^
Coach Harbaugh said two years ago that All could be the best TE ever at UM!
January 1st, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
This 2022 news is getting better all of the time. Maybe this will end up being a decent offseason with even more to be optimistic about.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:19 PM ^
Excellent.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:23 PM ^
I can’t fucking wait for next year. Sure we’ll lose some production from the edge positons but I have high hopes for the interior dline. Benny is gonna be a stud and smith/Hinton will improve even more. The interior will be a force
January 1st, 2022 at 5:37 PM ^
MacDonald just finished his first year as a DC. I assume he will be an improved 2.0 version of himself next season. Learned some lessons this season.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:41 PM ^
I think this (this post is response to the one about MacDonalds second year) is bigger than any new recruit for the defense. Asking a brand new first time DC to install a much more multiple scheme is a huge task. Now he’s got guys in their second year in the system to work with. I know being “multiple” is kind of a buzz word, but I think I were going to see a bigger variety of looks from the defense next season and much improved zone coverage.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:42 PM ^
Improved depth in interior d line as well as (to your point) experience should help MacDonald avoid being a disaster against tempo next year. You can substitute and be fine with leaving your backups in there (side note: it’s insane that UGA can rotate Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter. Carter is the backup and still better than any other DT Michigan faced all season).
I am worried if a lack of edge rush puts more pressure on the secondary. I worry if Colson can take the next step, because talented as he is and as excusable as many of the mistakes he made are for a true freshman, he still made them and we have to see the improvement.
I did like what I saw from Jaylen Harrell. Braiden McGregor had a lot of talent as a recruit. TJ guy and a couple of others have a shot to emerge too. Realistically, it won’t be this year’s. Mike Morris is quite good, but he’s no Ojabo. And whoever emerges opposite won’t be Hutch.
What that means is Michigan will have to be able to get more out of its LB’s in the blitz game and improved play from CB’s.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:44 PM ^
Hate to say it but Jacob Slade is pretty good.
January 1st, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
Is Jacob slade goin to the NFL?
January 1st, 2022 at 10:47 PM ^
Jacob Slade on UGA might see 10-15 snaps a game.
January 2nd, 2022 at 1:20 AM ^
For all the hype with Jordan Davis he only plays about 20 snaps or so a game.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:56 PM ^
Agreed, I'm pinning my hopes for a strong pass rush on McGregor based on talent, and on Harrell based on some good flashes we saw this season.
Beyond those two I can't think of anyone obvious, though I admittedlt don't know how our other edges graded out in pass rush.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:51 PM ^
DL could be very good if everyone stays. Hinton & Smith figured it out this year, Jenkins should take a big step forward with 1 more yr of S&C (he is on the cusp of being a bull), Benny could be a force, Rooks and Iwannuh have lots of potential, and the DEs should be solid enough to collapse the edge.
Macdonald definitely has some DL pieces that fit his pro scheme. LFG.

Upshaw has been in the program for 4 years already?
January 1st, 2022 at 5:42 PM ^
Taylor Upshaw was already a graduate student in the 2021 season.

January 2nd, 2022 at 6:05 PM ^
Apparently! I thought he was a sophmore.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:32 PM ^
WOW did not realize Upshaw had already been at M for 4 years.
January 1st, 2022 at 8:21 PM ^
Wasn’t his Sr year of hs his first year playing football? He may still have some room to improve.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:42 PM ^
He was slated to start ahead of Ojabo but Ojabo turned the jets on.
Upshaw is going up be a key piece of the puzzle for the D next year.
Getting All back is huge.
This could easily be better next year. We have a ton of production coming back and you always find a few guys who make big moves.
The guys coming back learned to be Champions and will carry that expectation now.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:53 PM ^
January 1st, 2022 at 7:08 PM ^
Easier schedule next year too, aside from playing at the crap-cooler.
January 1st, 2022 at 5:57 PM ^
Great. D Line play and experience is critical. Taylor learned from the best.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:00 PM ^
Lot of players want to come back, hopefulily the school lies allow it and we land an edge rusher inn the portal! I do hope McGreggor can take the anchor DE position over…. We’ll see how the defense emerges out of spring and if any of the incoming fr make the 2 deep..
Smith/Hinton need to get bigger, better!
SEC interior Oline and Dllines in all the bowls had lots of guys over 340lbs… both sides of the lines, thinking our interior lines looked small…. Need to get bigger, recruit bigger interior guys too!
January 1st, 2022 at 7:49 PM ^
Jordan Davis is a big boy but he was a 3 star out of NC, so we can find some dominating talent that isn’t a 5 star.
January 2nd, 2022 at 12:16 AM ^
If only there was a freshmen from Indiana incoming that fits this mold.
January 2nd, 2022 at 11:01 AM ^
Yes. I totally agree. I think Larry Bird had the potential to be a great NT. Just had to lower his pad level.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:08 PM ^
Wow I had no idea this was his fifth year. Feels like he’s been here two, maybe three years tops. Hope he can make a big impact next season!
January 1st, 2022 at 6:13 PM ^
Not to threadjack on the Upshaw news, but E. All coming back (if he really is) would give us a preseason 2022 Mackey Award watch list player. I think E. All coming back would be on par with Daxton Hill coming back (which, TO BE CLEAR, is probably not happening and has not been suggested by any source I know of). The only bigger return I could think of for 2022 is probably if Ojabo were to come back, given the importance of edge pressure in Macdonald's scheme and edge pressure vs OSU specifically.
I also think it'll be nice for Upshaw to show what he can do next season after a couple of years in Macdonald's system and a few years lurking in the shadow of some really good edge players. Not sure if he's draftable at this point (?) because I don't really follow the mock drafts or play fantasy football, but seems like he can only help his draft stock by coming back.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:10 PM ^
i could see Ojabo returning if he doesn’t get a day-one draft grade. Improve his stock the way Hutch did. Then again, without Hutch, he’s less likely to be a sack machine. Hard to know for sure until he has to fly solo.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:21 PM ^
True, having two 1st round NFL-draft quality edge rushers on the same college defense has been a great luxury this year. That said, Ojabo might not be as effective in the stat sheet next year (hypothetically), but you have to think his presence would create more exploitable matchups for other guys (much like how Aidan did the same for Ojabo this year). So, guys like Upshaw, Harrell, Morris could benefit greatly from an Ojabo return.
I mean, even going from a late 1st round pick to a top 10 pick would be pretty lucrative. Hopefully it works out to where he comes back and gets drafted higher in '23. Win win win.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:57 PM ^
Ojabo is a first round draft pick. NFL teams drool over guys with his bend.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:21 PM ^
Leader.
January 1st, 2022 at 6:54 PM ^
Is there a list of who's early enrolling?
January 1st, 2022 at 7:21 PM ^
Great news on both!
Erick All has all of the tools. Size, speed, catches well, blocking is outstanding, and team player! I hope he is one of the captain next year. Erick working with the young TE's coming into the program will be huge for M in the future.
January 1st, 2022 at 7:29 PM ^
Heck yeah.
Looking forward to heard about...
- All
- Hayes
- M. Smith
- Hinton
- Ojabo
- Gray
- D. Hill
- Moody
- Robbins
I don't have all of these guys leaving...but I expect decisions from them all (like Upshaw).
