Guess there was a reason he didn't sign the NLI

Rivals has removed him from the 2015 Sparty commit list!
I love this gif, and it will always get a +1 from me.
He is very interested in Purdue. lol
Someone in a previous thread mentioned that Swanigan's legal guardian is Roosevelt Barnes, which if that is the case suddenly makes the Purdue move - if it happens - a rather intriguing one on some levels since Barnes is a Boilermaker himself. It's still interesting though that it should happen some two weeks short of the end of the signing period for basketball, which doesn't leave a lot of time perhaps unless decommitting is the official sign of a decision already made here.
good. YOU win the internet.
Oh darn.
Would be stil not great for us if Purdue got him, although I'd rather Purdue be good than State if I have the choice.
C'mon Cuonzo, bring him to Berkeley!
Roll on you Bears!

I wonder if Izzo's still not worried about it.

I mean, I want to laugh, but that looks really painful.

just awesome!
And staged.
That's actually where the crystal balls had him going.
crystal balls = shattered dreams.
Izzo for Cuonzo? Must be a Bozo according to Sparty.
Now I want some chorizo orzo.
These douches have made a negative root against them almost as gratifying as a positive root for the good guys. I hate them with the hate of 1,000 wars, and I think this feeling could have only been topped if Jaylen Brown were on his way to Ann Arbor.
Whoa. If you're deriving near-equal pleasure from seeing MSU falter as seeing Michigan succeed, you're moving into little brother territory. (And this isn't even really a case of them faltering; they'll still be pretty good next season.)
I'm not going to apologize for taking extreme pleasure in Tom Izzo's disappointment.
like "Once a spartan always a spartan"?
I thought I saw the Twitter post linked here earlier today. Wow...
Yeah, someone linked to that. Was it fake? If real, that was a pretty epic troll job.
I went on his Twitter today and took a screenshot in case this happened. All due respect, man, but . . . really? That is kind of obsessed.
Technically, he never was a Spartan, only engaged to be engaged to the Spartans. Or something.
It is the wrath of HARBAUGH!!!
Some of the sting of the Brown recruitment would be gone if he also went to Cal.
"He did not have a commitable offer"
"Coach Izzo soured on him"
"He was overrated by the recruiting services"
Rinse. Repeat.
I know exactly how they feel. Unfortunately.
When was the last time Coach Beilein soured on anybody?
Jaylen was not a lock for us. Swanigan told them nearly a month ago that he was coming.

the moment Jaylen Brown committed to Cal, and word came out that Swanigan hadn't signed, I assumed this wasn't a done deal....
That Cal situation seems fishy as hell to me, I'm sorry....
First off, it's a great school. Then they get Ivan Rabb, who is from Oakland. Then they get his apparent friend, Jaylen Brown, whose family advisor is Shareef Abdur-Rahim (the former Cal player). Now I wouldn't be surprised if they land Swanigan, who is apparently friends with Rabb and Brown.
There's often a domino effect in recruiting. The Fab 5 came together that way.
Yeah, given all that Cal has going for it, I'm not going to start assuming shenanigan's. Just doesn't seem likely.
Now unless Cuonzo Martin recruited this well at Tennesse too... I think it's very fair to assume shenanigans...
Cal has 0 history. Cuonzo Martin ain't John Wooden either. Unless they are insanely lucky in finding 3 guys who are friends and somewhat care about academics, then shady is all I can think of.
All these All-American kids know one another. They've been playing in the same circuits for how many years now?
