When it comes to the business side of things, the Lions are doing just fine. You can't blame Tom Lewand for drafting and player personnel, that's Martin Mayhew's job.
If OSU can afford women's hockey, Michigan can too. It's really a shame that we don't have a team. You mentioned yesterday, Red possibly being against it since it would interfere with their practice schedule at Yost. Hopefully they can find a solution or the next coach is more supportive of a women's team.
PS-Larkin scored two 1st period goals for the Griffins tonight!
If Michigan made a serious offer in 2009, would you have taken the job back then?
I've heard rumors that DB made a lowball offer to his agent (even though he was told Jim would give Michigan a serious look after coaching the Orange Bowl) because Hoke was his guy all along.
I would love to see us add women's hockey. It's an expensive sport, but I find it odd that Michigan doesn't have a team. A lot of girls play hockey in our state, we could have a good team in a hurry.
According to Ira on the MGoRoundtable, Michigan had a 77% increase in international sales and were by far the #1 growth internationally. If Nike wants us, they should offer us the highest paid Nike contract. There's no doubt, Michigan will sell more apparel than Florida State.
Mattison, Durkin and Zordich have considerable Ohio ties. I think this staff (especially Durkin) wants more players from the south. He has plenty of connections there from his time in Florida.
In the US, it is feasible to use a salary cap so that a city like Buffalo can afford to compete and at the same time doesn't detract from the big market teams potential. In Europe, it is not possible to cap the spending for Manchester United to the level of someone like Burnley, it would implode the league in an instant. The discrepancy in population size, talent pool and economic power a town like Burnley generates, in contrast to that of Manchester or London, isn't relatable in any way to that between Buffalo and Los Angeles.
The Strength & Conditioning Performance Center looks amazing. Some people were complaining recently that we needed a more modern weight room. This will definitely help us with that.
A&M's expansion of Kyle Field pushed them over 105,000. Texas will try to go up to 114,000 when they enclose the south end zone of DKR. I think 120,000 should be our goal especially when Harbaugh gets us back to our winning ways.
"My year at Michigan has been the best year of my life, the most fun year of hockey I've ever had," Larkin said. "Going to one of the best universities in the world and having fun with my classmates, it will be tough missing out on what they're going to accomplish. On the other note, I have a chance to live out the dream of my life, and I'm really excited about it. I think it's a great opportunity. I really feel like I'm ready for this challenge."
"In Dylan's year with Michigan, he proved to be one of most talented players in college hockey," said Michigan head coach Red Berenson. "We knew this was a tough decision for Dylan, but we also anticipated that this might happen. I hope that Dylan continues on a path to graduate from the university while preparing for a long career in the National Hockey League."
Scherzer, Suh and now Babcock all left Detroit because of more money. Can't really blame the teams or players/coach since it really was a lot more money.

How long will Yost last and (when the time comes) where do you think the replacement arena will go?

Thanks to all the brave men and women who lost their lives serving their country.

I would rather stay with Adidas than go with Under Armour.
I'm still hoping for Nike and to bring back these jerseys...

Marcus gives out his number/email for people to order his book. He does that all the time when he's on WTKA with Sam and Ira.
Let's be the only team from east of the Mississippi River to win two World Series!
It has to be his personal one since it's a gmail account.

I love the brick exterior. It resembles the Roman Colesseum and helps keep the sound in.
I wasn't expecting this, but everyone from team USA at the World’s said he was ready to go pro.
It sucks as a Michigan fan... I really thought he was gonna stay and win the Hobey Baker.
This has been the longest offseason ever.
The gray facemask looks terrible. I'm glad Bo changed it to blue.
1. Georgia 2. LSU 3. Clemson
I would like to play Army for an away game at Yankee Stadium.

That's an insane amount of money for a hockey coach, but Toronto has money to burn.
A 7-5 record was worst case scenario in the Carr era aka "year of infinite pain."
