Verified at bovada.lv. Spread was -1.5 yesterday and this morning was -2.5 but checking right now it is back to -2.

Can one of the MGoGamblers explain how the following works? I heard yesterday that with a -1.5 spread, 70% of the money was on Alabama yet the line wasn't moving in Bama’s direction. Can someone explain how the line moves in the opposite direction now?

I would argue that the Big Ten vs SEC games have gone better than Vegas expected. Maryland upset Auburn, wisc almost upset LSU (and beat the spread), Iowa was expected to be blown out, osu had numerous starters out and their QB3 most of the game, and PSU had a close game against Mississippi.

But the team was too cocky about playing TCU (Keegan even said as much in his Rose Bowl media availability), whereas they're getting pummeled with "Bama is too good" this time. I think Michigan plays a great game today. Whether it's good enough...we shall see.

I think teams play it up too often, but there is value in the motivation of feeling slighted. Michigan heard all month how yeah yeah good season, maybe they cheated, but Alabama is going to beat them.
Have to imagine they want to prove everyone wrong.

As I mentioned in the other thread though, that one point movement is somewhat offset by an increase in the juice: Bama plus 1.5 was -105, Bama plus 2.5 is -115.
