Wish the young man the best. My son sent me this a few weeks ago to prepare me for the upcoming season. Makes me smile every time!

Damn near a double double w/ pts & assists! Saved our bacon!
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:59 PM ^
I know this is the Spike thread and all, but Kam Chatman was 1 rebound away from a double-double too.
If Caris wants to be the alpha dog, he better start alpha-ing. On the other hand, Stauskas didn't really emerge as undisputed alpha until later than this last year, so... we'll see.

Like at all. He is Jerrod Ward part II Electric Bogaloo
December 3rd, 2014 at 8:04 AM ^
Completely agree that he needs to improve his shot.
And efficiency.
Just saying. Almost a double-double.

Death to 1-and-1's!!!!
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:37 PM ^
Wish he was shooting FTs at the end. Good Lort.
A win is a win, though.
And yes...all hail Spike tonight!
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:38 PM ^
As someone who can remember when the ACC used to regularly pound the Big Ten in these challenges, I'm delighted that our conference is, at this point, 5-0. The ACC would need to take eight of the next nine to *win* it.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:59 PM ^
The ACC domination. The B1G got their first win just 5 years ago.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:39 PM ^
title says it all.
BIG win with what we have coming up. Good to get that under our belt.
Wish we'd foul with 2.2 on the clock. That should be a no brainer situation to foul up 3.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:43 PM ^
Beilein never fouls in those situations. Something about not putting the game in the refs hands is the reason I remember him giving, though I could be wrong.
December 3rd, 2014 at 1:00 AM ^
I really disagree with him on this
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:39 PM ^
Did you notice him trying to get coach B attention during timeout while he gave instructions to his teammates? High bball IQ.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:49 PM ^
Sure does (have a high IQ). He will make a fine coach down the road if he so chooses to go that route.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:54 PM ^
So...he's white?
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:53 PM ^
Every W is one step closer to a tourney bid, better seeding and where u get sent. This will be a big quality win at seasoins end. Anytime youve beaten Syracuse youve had a major accomplishment. A win like this keeps you in top 10-15 territory instead bottom 20 territory. We will only get better and better. The FT shooting at games end was not pretty and we need to work on our Fts otherwise GREAT win for the good guys!!
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:41 PM ^
C'mon Kate, give it up already. What else can the man do?
December 2nd, 2014 at 10:12 PM ^
to help Kate pen a "Dear John" letter to Verlander. Anything to help Spike!
December 3rd, 2014 at 12:01 AM ^
Verlander.

That last 3 was quite a dagger, Spike!

by Spike.
Sees the floor so so well. Spacing, awareness, wow. Clutch. Open 3, gotta take it. must be so fun playing in this system for this coach.
On that note, was surprised how poor Caris' shot selection was in the 2nd half.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:51 PM ^
Suck it Jay Bilas.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:56 PM ^
I screamed at the TV WHY?????? and sure enough 10 pt lead evaporated..just like I knew it would...Spike has earned the starter role UNLESS hes one of those guys that just plays better off the bench in which case if aint broke dont fix it
December 2nd, 2014 at 10:03 PM ^
Both have earned starter status, but Beilein likes to have a spark coming off the bench and Spike and Ricky both bring that now.
December 2nd, 2014 at 10:16 PM ^
Yeah. There is something called rest.
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:59 PM ^
So does Spike leave early for the NBA?
December 2nd, 2014 at 10:01 PM ^
Great game, and some really clutch moments by Spike. I won't lie, I was a little worried that we were going to blow it a couple of times. Syracuse, however really looked too anxious at the end.
