They’re furious the video got leaked…because now they might have to cut him, as opposed to keeping everything under wraps.  I thought Steve Kerr was all new age anti violence, I guess it’s easy to be a hypocrite when wins and losses are on the line because you know, that’s what matters.

Glad to hear it. That is scary indeed and wish him a speedy recovery. I'm sure they are also running quite a few tests to determine what the cause of the seizure was and pray it is nothing serious and just one of those fluke things that never happens again.

I'm joining the Michigan Family in wishing Coach Hart a complete and thorough recovery.

So glad to hear that he is stable and back in Ann Arbor.

Anyone who has seen a seizure knows they are terrifying to witness. However, seizures can happen to otherwise healthy people for a bunch of reasons. Medication can cause seizures. Lack of sleep, overexertion, dehydration, all of these lower your seizure threshold.

I hope that this news is confirmation that his was nothing to be overly concerned about and he can resume normal activities with minor behavioral modifications.

I was at the game Saturday, and when word came through the stands that is was Mike Hart and that he had a seizure, it hit me hard.  My daughter began having seizures at the age of 4.  They were not the typical Grand Mal seizures you think.  Hers were absent minded (think blank stare with some involuntary hand gesturing).  Thankfully, she has been seizure free for over 3 years, and has been free of medication for right around a year now.  They don't know the reason she began having the seizures.  We speculate it could have been caused by a growth spurt.  So, we are still afraid it may happen in the future while going through another growth spurt.  Like you said, it could have been something else, but we never found a root cause.

The coaching lifestyle is high stress, low sleep.  Likely high amounts of caffeine, he is after all a former professional athlete and is I'm sure adept at getting a pregame "hype" on.

I hope we find he just has to relax a little more and live a healthier lifestyle.  He is one hell of a football coach.

Blue,  I think the coaches' schedules are more demanding than the players at both the college and professional level.

Hopefully, Coach Hart is going through something that can be diagnosed and easily addressed.  I'm not a doctor - but, if it was dehydration related, it seems that might be the easiest condition to address.

Again, wishing Coach Hart a complete recovery.

There’s a girl on my daughter’s high school volleyball team who has seizures from time to time. She had a few of them during fall camp because she was in the middle of changing her meds, so the team formulated a plan of action for if it happens during a game. Each teammate has a responsibility. One starts a timer and contacts emergency services, another has her meds, another finds the trainer, a coach repositions her on her side and keeps her head safe, another coach contacts parents/emergency contacts. The rest of the team forms a circle around her to give her privacy from the rest of the gym. I’m really proud of the work they’ve done to give her safety and reassurance. Thankfully we’ve made it halfway through the season without any episode during a game, but we’re prepared if it happens!

While I know we all wish Hart the best and hope it is nothing serious, I do hope we can all respect his privacy and let him handle this in the best way for him and his family for whatever it is he has to deal with. Let's do what we can to make it so that "everyone wants/needs to know/have answers" isn't something that factors into what transpires for him.

Let's let him release what he wants to release when he wants to and not clamor for details and I hope the press/media can resist pressing Harbaugh for answers.......just let it sit for now.

Refrain from conjecture on what it could be, that is how rumors get started and for that matter, let's not post rumors.

Rest assured the moment anything is released and official that it will be on here within 3 minutes of it being public.

This post is great, as simple as "Hart says 'this' about his status" we all say "Get Well Soon, Our Thoughts are With You."

100% kudos to the IU medical staff for taking care of our guy. Not that I'd expect anything less, but I can imagine the medical staff at UofM is a bit on edge not knowing the complete inner workings of an away venue's capabilities.

Tip of the cap to them.

really scary stuff.

extremely happy that, if it had to happen, that it happened at a place where he was surrounded by medical professionals who could act immediately to get him help right away....

Glad he is doing well - hopefully the medical team can figure out what happened, how to deal with it, and any treatments or life style changes that need to occur to prevent it from happening again...

Best Wishes to Coach Hart and his family and friends.

Glad to hear he is doing well, and hope he has a speedy and full recovery.

A few years back at swim meet at Bowling Green, I had several seizures in our hotel room.  I had not been to a doctor in years and had undiagnosed Type 2 Diabetes and had too many of the free hotel cookies.  It was just me and my older son.  He had just gotten his license and had to drive me to the ER at 2 in the morning in a strange town.  There was a fire/accident on I-75, and there was going to be a delay in getting an ambulance. I thought maybe I was having strokes.

I am not in any way suggesting that might be what happened to him, I imagine he is better a out physicals than I was.  I just have a little extra empathy for him because it happened in a somewhat unfamiliar environment, and I know disconcerting that was for me.  And, to be honest, I don't need to know why it happened.  If he wants to tell folks, he can.  If he doesn't, it is his business.

It's unfortunate that anyone should ever have to suffer from seizures, but if it is going to happen, it's very fortunate to have done so surrounded by witnesses and medical staff,  instead of potentially in his hotel room, or when driving. Get well soon, Coach.

PJ Fleck started out his Monday media session by wishing Mike and the Michigan family his best. Also said he called Coach Harbaugh to send him his best wishes. Mike was at WMU with PJ. Classy move I thought.
