Just another very well-respected head coach who likes Mike.

So Schiano goes from forum scumbag to "well respected" because he blew sunshine up Hart's ass?

Schiano did an Amazon Ng job at Rutgers his first go round.

He has been an NFL head coach.

He was a coordinator for Ohio State and turned down repeated job offers to be head coach.

He was Tennessee's choice for head coach, but fans wanted a sexier hire.  He's probably better than the guy Tennessee ended up with.

He is doing well by Rutgers standards in his second go-around.

He's very well respected in the coaching field.

About Tennessee...  Fans didn't necessarily want a 'sexier' hire, they wanted someone hired that didn't passively allow Jerry Sandusky to rape children in the locker room.  Or, at least, not say anything about it while somebody else covered it up...

No one believes that lame alleged reason.  It's like believing that a coach left to spend more time with their family because that's what they preferred.

Why is USC interested in schiano?  Tennessee fans just have more morals!!!!

Judge Judy won’t allow anyone testifying to tell her what somebody knows. Even though there appears to be no legal standing for it, people love to do it. I suppose you can reasonably guess what someone knows, but can never be 100% certain. Jerk-offs can be so accusatory, even long after the accused are dead.

If this is the hill that you want to die on, go for it.

But USC is never hiring schiano! Absolutely never! their pres will not even discuss urban Meyer who is infinitely more successful.

And it surprises you that Tennessee fans have more moral fiber than OSU fans? I would take paying players(pruitt) any day before enabling a guy who kicks the shit out of his wife and is basically running a prison yard(meyer).

Just admit schiano is an average college coach who is absolutely untouchable by any program with any semblance of a backbone.

Schiano was a graduate assistant and I think a position coach for 1-2 years during the Sandusky era.  Who would believe him if he did see something?  Learning to coach, working for peanuts and starting a family and he is supposed to have a feel for the environment and know something is wrong?  I don't know but I tend to believe him when he says he didn't know.  He might have developed a feeling that Sandusky was creepy but what can you do with a feeling?

I have worked on two occasions with someone that was breaking the law (supplier kick-backs and embezzlement).  I thought the people were despicable people but I was unable to help with the investigations that came later.  FYI - some companies won't press charges but they will help the IRS determine the gains that were not reported.

Yes, he is. The job he did with Rutgers the first time around was nothing short of phenomenal, given the garbage heap dumpster fire they’d been for their entire existence up to that point.

Not a great NFL HC at all, but a college coach? Yes he is. Always been curious as to what he could’ve done with a program that had a higher ceiling.

I know the mgoPeople have mixed feelings about schiano, but I've noticed a lot of his public statements make me smile, and not just that he's complimenting Michigan. He's just refreshingly honest and seems to enjoy his press interactions

It’s hilarious that you keep saying this, because it’s absolutely not true. There was a huge social media campaign and on-campus protests over the hire of Schiano completely centered around his alleged role in the Sandusky cover-up.

You can't be that naive. 100 people out of the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Tennessee fans changed the world.

Ohio State couldn't even find 100 people who agreed with them, so they didn't fire him.

Rutgers was also immune to the tail wagging the dog.

Even now, USC in a very liberal state actively ignores the same issue which follows Schiano to this day.

Yes, only a small group of Tennessee fans are worth listening to....

...either that or UT fans were not excited about the proposed hire so they looked for a non-performance reason to cite.

I know which explanation makes sense.
