Special player - humble, talented, dedicated. Total package. Cannot wait to see him return to the field at some point (hopefully soon)
September 4th, 2021 at 2:37 PM ^
I just watched a replay. He did walk to the cart without assistance. If they thought he had broken a bone or torn a ligament, I don’t think he would have been allowed to do that.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:42 PM ^
Sam Webb said he was spotted in a wheelchair in the back - not a great sign but who knows
September 16th, 2021 at 8:41 AM ^
My post didn’t age well at all.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:42 PM ^
I've seen a lot of guys hobble off with torn ACLs. Usually in basketball, but it's not uncommon. Thomas Bryant walked off the court and down the tunnel last season.
September 4th, 2021 at 3:03 PM ^
Grant Newsome walked off and almost lost his leg.
September 5th, 2021 at 11:35 AM ^
Once the initial pain passes you can usually walk on a torn ACL (even with associated PCL and MCL injuries if it’s that bad). I don’t think he’d be doing it with a broken bone obviously, although that’s possible too. But based on the nature of the injury and his reaction the most likely scenario is ACL, and I wouldn’t read too much into him putting some weight on it.
September 16th, 2021 at 8:41 AM ^
This definitely aged well
September 4th, 2021 at 1:43 PM ^
Him and Corum look like difference makers. Got that “It” factor. Haskins tough but not as explosive. Hopefully not lost for season & only a few weeks.
September 4th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
I was just coming here to make this. Great player. Awful to see him get hurt.
September 4th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
Heart breaking bad luck for Ronnie. He was having a breakaway game. I hope he's able to come back in a week or two, I'll pray for a speedy recovery.
Go Blue-Ronnie!!
September 4th, 2021 at 1:48 PM ^
Worst possible thing. Speedy recovery Bell!
September 4th, 2021 at 1:52 PM ^
RIP, Ronnie Bell.
. . .
Wait. He's still alive, right?
September 4th, 2021 at 4:22 PM ^
I want to start a second account to downvote this again.
September 5th, 2021 at 8:54 AM ^
Ultimate punishment required for this nonsense.
September 4th, 2021 at 1:52 PM ^
Absolutely love this kid. No tear on this MRI. Please!
September 4th, 2021 at 1:55 PM ^
I'm just accepting him being done. My god he looked like he was breaking out to start a special season for him, so of course the most predictable thing ever happens. My fandom is mush
September 4th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
Injuries happen every year. Every team has to deal with them. But, it sure feels like UM suffers them more often than other teams, particularly to their best players. Maybe it's just that we can't replace them the way teams like OSU can. I can't remember the last time that we got through an entire season without losing one of our best players due to injury. We'd be in big trouble if we lost Hutch, Dax, or Green, but sheesh.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:11 PM ^
Thankfully, WR is the one group with good, talented depth.
But I'm just heartbroken for Ronnie, who's been my favorite player since he arrived on campus. Hoping for the best possible outcome.
September 4th, 2021 at 6:08 PM ^
Seems like besides football abilities, it's always the really genuinely good dudes too. Jake Butt, Newsome, Glasgow, Clark etc.
September 4th, 2021 at 1:59 PM ^
Bell please get well! Perhaps the most heartbreaking injury since Jake Butt
September 4th, 2021 at 2:12 PM ^
Harbaugh has had a handful of recruiting whiffs, but he hit big time on Ronnie Bell. He looks like he could have an NFL future.
Didn’t look good, but hoping like hell for a positive diagnosis and seeing him back on the field this season.
For any MGoDoctors on the board, is there anything about what you saw that gives you any kind of hope it’s not ACL tear?
September 5th, 2021 at 12:18 AM ^
MGoDoctor. Not an orthopod, though it makes zero difference given how little info we have. I thought I saw him clutch his hamstrings after the fall and initially thought hamstring tear. I've seen vague claims from others that they know it's his ACL, though.
Either way, not good.
Really hoping it's something less. That kid plays with too much heart for this.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:32 PM ^
Hoping for the best. Great player, great guy. Get better, Ronnie
September 4th, 2021 at 2:36 PM ^
Ronnie is and has been great. Michigan will need him this year to accomplish their goals. Hope he is back soon.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:37 PM ^
Yes, I hope his injury keeps him off the field for as brief a time as possible .
September 4th, 2021 at 2:43 PM ^
He never redshirted, right?
September 4th, 2021 at 3:32 PM ^
No, but since last year was a "free" year it's hard to see him playing four years of eligibility.
September 4th, 2021 at 6:18 PM ^
He didn't gain anything from that free year though right? It was his true junior season, and this is his true senior season. So he could potentially come back next year as a 5th year senior. It's also possible I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. I would think coming back would be the better option than entering the draft coming off a knee injury with no real breakout season.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:51 PM ^
Special player. Has all the tools, while humble. One of the best catches I have seen nullified by questionable penalty. Hope he recovers well and soon.
September 4th, 2021 at 2:52 PM ^
Reminds me of the injury to Derrick Alexander back in 1991. Desmond Howard carried the load from there. It was a different play but it feels like the same impact on the team.
I hope Ronnie recovers faster and better than Derrick. (Derrick had a great recovery but it was a year later.)
It is tough.
September 4th, 2021 at 3:21 PM ^
That was also a kick return wasn’t it?

Editing: wrong thread. Ronnie has been a tremendous presence for this program, hoping for a healthy and quick recovery
September 4th, 2021 at 3:09 PM ^
He looked fantastic out there today. Heartbreaking injury. Hope he'll recover quickly.
Ronnie Bell has maximized his talent and become a star - what a great kid!

Dude has like 12 followers and also tweeted that Harbaugh was making the team play with masks on this season. So ...
September 4th, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
If you throw enough ketchup covered pickles against the wall some of them will stick.
September 5th, 2021 at 1:01 AM ^
OK whatever on the number of followers. I hope this dude is correct!
September 4th, 2021 at 3:19 PM ^
This would be great news considering how he looked coming off the field!
Let's Go Bell!
September 4th, 2021 at 3:22 PM ^
Read his other tweets. This looks like a fake account.
September 4th, 2021 at 4:27 PM ^
There is a 0.0% chance that a) Michigan would already know this, and b) they would tell this fucko or his “sources.” Michigan is more likely to list him as “questionable- lower body injury” right up until he either plays or has surgery.
September 4th, 2021 at 4:41 PM ^
Garbage post
September 4th, 2021 at 4:57 PM ^
Find this hard to believe with the way he came off the field.
September 4th, 2021 at 3:25 PM ^
Not sure how anyone would have that level of detailed diagnosis this soon.
September 4th, 2021 at 3:31 PM ^
It's a troll account.
September 4th, 2021 at 4:08 PM ^
Can you believe we let Desmond and Charles return punts????
September 4th, 2021 at 5:25 PM ^
It’s so disconcerting that people find any random tweet and think it’s news. This explains a lot about our culture. Critical thinking!
September 4th, 2021 at 6:13 PM ^
Was playing great, hoping for speedy recovery.
September 4th, 2021 at 7:56 PM ^
Right before kickoff my buddy said, “This must be our year because I think we made it through Spring and Fall camp without a season ending injury”. I swear if Bell is out for the year, he won’t be invited back for any games this year.
