For some reason I can't muster any real animosity toward him. I know he's a big jerk who's created his own problems, but I just feel sort of sorry for him anyhow. His life has spiraled down from where he was just 12 years ago, sitting on top of the college football world for a brief moment, and now he's an object of widespread ridicule.

I kinda agree.  He was a terrible coach, and called out his players way too much (and way too harshly).  Sure, he cheated on his wife and was quite the scumbag around women, apparently.  But he didn't make it okay for his team to rape them (Mick, Art, you guys listening?).  And honestly, had he been in Mike McQuery's shoes, I think he would have beat the living shit out of Sandusky.  And rightfully so...

Heck, most everything that happened to him at Michigan was self-inflicted, too—his choice of Greg Robinson is one of the dumbest staffing decisions I've seen any head coach at any school make in the last decade.

It's pretty apparent that he's got severe anger issues. I was in school at UM during the early Schembechler years so I was familiar with Bo's temper, but in all the years I watched him I never saw him lose his shit so completely on the sidelines with his own players the way RR did on numerous occasions.

Bo would certainly get in somebody's grill if was warranted, but he was always in control—it wasn't the bug-eyed, spittle-flecked rage that RR exhibited. And Bo seemed to reserve most of his ire for the officials during the games anyhow. I always got the sense there was a purpose to Bo's rants—that he knew what he was doing at the time, and that it wasn't just pure unadulterated anger. RR's rage is just unfocused spewing.

Hey Rich Rod, try doing what our OC did and actually get down there WITH the players!

Never understood the logic of having the OC in the box.  Let an assistant you trust go up there to see things; you need to be on the ground talking to your squad face-to-face.

It looks like he's trying desperately to find something to break or throw as far as he can, but can't in that tight coaches booth.  All the other coaches are just sitting there calm, like it happens all the time!

Remember when everyone here thought the Rich Rod hire was GOLD and it was just a matter of time before...even had Dabo failing at Clemson and them stealing Rich Rod after he won a hundred thousand national championships here (WELL, it would have been a hundred thousand and fifty but those GODDAMMM REFEREES)

Funny how back then on any Michigan message board Groupthink was so alive and well that to criticize Rich Rod was about the same as criticizing another guy who seems to be underwhelming here at Michigan

People weren't willing to give Rich Rod nearly as many excuses now, and oh how the Revisionist Message Board guy takes such pleasure in another man's misery.

Rodriguez probably has PTSD from his days here. The entire university seemed to work against him from the day Bill Martin hopped off his sailboat in West Virginny to offer this man what is now, three coaches later, yet another coaching graveyard in southeastern Michigan...

I happened to have that game on when it happened and I busted out laughing.  Watching him lose just like when he was here except he couldn't hide from the cameras like he did yesterday.

Dude is a stroke waiting to happen

it started with a 10 point opener, and blanked in the second quarter, 7 in the third and 14 in garbage time not taking too much away from him or the game, but thats fools gold, add to the fact in 4 quarters against mighty cal (their defense is good but not bama level) he put up 7,6,0,7
