Nothing makes sense.

When Purdue is on, they are ON.

Nice homage to the old MGOBLOG circa Rich Rod.

This one isn't that surprising to me. Iowa doesn't play any defense, they get a little chilly on offense and it's blowout time.

When Michigan is on they are on.
When Illinois is on they are on.
When Michigan state is on they are on.
When fill in the blank is on they are on.

What time are they on?
February 5th, 2020 at 9:49 PM ^
Sometimes when you’re on, you’re really fucking on.

The only thing that makes any sense to me logically is that the entire big ten is terrible and all the teams are roughly the same
February 5th, 2020 at 9:37 PM ^
Or the Big Ten is super awesome and will win 14 co-national championships!
February 5th, 2020 at 9:36 PM ^
19/34 - 56% from 3. Holy shit. No one stands a chance against a team shooting like that.

And they rebounded 40% of their misses. Purdue scored 1.53 points per possession today.
As a point of comparison, Michigan scored 1.38 points per possession in the Sweet 16 game against A&M. The only game I can find where Michigan matched the 1.53 number against a legitimate opponent was the 2017 home waxing of Tom Crean's last Indiana team, 90-60. (Even this year's Houston Baptist game, which they won 111-68, was only 1.29 points per possession. HBU may not be talented, but they go fast!)

I guess we were on against HB, right?
February 5th, 2020 at 9:48 PM ^
And their leading scorer only scored 18 points. 5 players scored between 13 and 18. Amazing balance.
February 5th, 2020 at 10:51 PM ^
Even more amazing is that their leading scorer is in his mid-40s.

Percent from three?

No, his age.

12 big ten teams in tourney
February 5th, 2020 at 10:42 PM ^
Ain't happenin'. Syracuse has to make the tournament so that'll knock one "of us" out. Then St Mary's will beat Gonzaga in the WCC tournament, there's another one gone. I could see 9 or 10 though.
February 6th, 2020 at 11:01 AM ^
Indiana and Minnesota are going to have a hard time making it although it seems like both teams win just when they face a must win game.
If Michigan doesn't win Saturday, they'll be in trouble. Especially if Livers doesn't come back and give them a bump.

To your "WTF?" I say...
February 6th, 2020 at 6:59 AM ^
19/34 from 3 will do that for you.
This whole conference is weird.
February 6th, 2020 at 11:13 AM ^
Interesting that Garza took 15 less shots in this game than in his game vs us. And he was 10/17 so he was being efficient. I guess 2<3 is the main factor but still.
February 6th, 2020 at 11:54 AM ^
I can't tell if everyone in the Big Ten is really good, or if everyone is just really bad.
Definitely the deepest its been since the 2012-13 season.

Purdue made more 3’s last night than M has made in all B1G games
February 6th, 2020 at 4:57 PM ^
Purdue is the team with what's-his-face from the Smiths playing the five, right?
