49-27, has been all Northwestern.  Really fun 1st half to watch - hope they can keep it going for the last 20 mins.  Go Cats!

that may have been the worst second half of baseketball i have ever seen.  it seemed like NU thought you got a point if you just chuck it off the backboard.  i don't think they took a decent looking shot until pardon got that dunk with about 5 min to go. pathetic.

3 baskets in one half.  haven't seen that since princeton, before the shot clock era.

Biggest comeback in Big Ten history, 27 points.

MSU now owns the biggest basketball comeback and the biggest football comeback in conference histoy, both times the opponent was Northwestern.  The football comeback is still the biggest in NCAA history, 35 points  Northwestern has to hate MSU as much as we do.

The outcome of that game with northwestern preserves our victory at East Lansing as one of the best wins in all of college basketball this season. They can have their banner, who knows if they will have a coach. And we all know that they have lost a lot of respect.

That win at Breslin was already going to be excellent for the resume even if Sparty had lost today. The reason for that, other than their record, is Izzo. When he’s having a down year, the media slobbers over his nuts because they’re the best .500 in conference team in history. Three separate times, he’s gotten a tourney invite with 13 losses when that resume would have guaranteed any other team an automatic NIT bid. Because Izzo. And now that he’s covered for all his rapist players and finally been caught, the media will again ignore that and instead use it as admiration for getting a conference title under horrible circumstances. I’m happy we won at MSU this year. But I don’t them to get any banner. Fuck those guys.

Unreal. What's the largest comeback in NCAA basektball history? MSU already has the largest comeback in football history when they were down 38-3 against Northwestern. How fitting.
