Maryland was hanging in early but now down 11 late first half to Alabama.

In a preview of our S16 opponent, FSU up 9 on Colorado late 2nd half in a very low scoring affair

Our Sweet 16 matchup will not be as tough as today. Will still need a great performance. Alabama will be one hell of a game; expect it to look like the first OSU game

Watching FSU now. UM will be playing them next. Their length is tough. I think this is a game where Dickinson can shine though. I can see FSU playing him one-on-one with their big center.

I think playing LSU is gonna help us prepare for FSU. They have a lot of size but I don’t think they are as fast as LSU is and I don’t see them shooting like LSU did one on one. I think we can use our smaller guards to our advantage.

That was a really sloppy game - a combined 34 TOs.  FSU looks like your standard-issue FSU team in that they've got a lot of tall, athletic guys but I wouldn't say they're particularly well-coached.  And I'd add that they somehow got out-rebounded by a team with nobody taller than 6-8 except one guy who played a total of 8 minutes.

It'll be a tough game, but FSU doesn't have the one-on-one scores like LSU did and I like UM's ability to match up with them on the perimeter.

Bama, if they are shooting threes look like a very tough out.

I'd be curious to see what LSU did during the SEC championship game, as Maryland is getting buried by those threes.

i meant if the 3s are going in; this is Bama's offensive strategy for sure.

They didn't look good versus the Bonnies until about 10 minutes left and the Bonnies couldn't hit anything when Bama was cold from outside.

Almost better to bait them into forcing it inside and living with the consequences in the paint

Alabama is just hitting an insane amount of threes in this game. There is nothing Maryland can do about it. Alabama is a really good team and would be very hard to beat if they are shooting like that.

For some reason, the selection committee is in love with Michigan and FSU being in the same region. This is the third tournament in a row. We played them during our title game run in '18. Then in 2019 we would have played them in the Elite 8 if we had gotten by Texas Tech and they had gotten by Gonzaga. Now, we play them in the Sweet 16 in 2021.

It was a rock fight the last time we played them (58-54). It may be an ugly win, but we're gritty enough to do that.

Not that they need the help, but Bama gets a 15, 10, and 11 to the E8, and then potentially a 1 without arguably its best player, IF they even have to play the 1. Must be nice.

Tonight though...yikes. When they shoot like this no one has a chance. There simply isn't anything you can do.

The interesting thing about FSU is they lost to Georgia Tech twice this year who was a 9 seed. I don’t think Georgia Tech is bad but FSU seems to be inconsistent. Let’s hope our guys come with their A game next weekend.

Oates is Beilein 2.0.  Belien showed the way, and now other coaches are picking up the torch.

Look for this system to become the "Spread" of college basketball, where lots of teams start implementing it.

Kansas...wooof.

Pac12....wow.  I've seen some here talk about watching them week after week and.how garbage they've really been...but I'm not trusting it.  I think they play a different, wide open style, and it comes off as bad bball to somebody watching the Big10 the following day.

I've also watched some Pac12 ball this year due to gambling and don't recall coming away impressed by any means but also recognized the style difference.  I also was enjoying Bill Walton while watching...though I wasn't imbibing on what he was.

So USC has these brothers, one 7', one 6'10...like, how are we not talking about these 2 and this squad going into the tourney!? This team is bleeping legit.  So is Oregon from what I saw today.
