OT: Tom Brady Is... Going Bald
I think this is new; I did a search, and this is apparently different from the other stories about our former QB's mane.
The National Enquirer reported that Brady's car was spotted outside Leonard Hair Transplant Associates in Cranston, R.I., on Nov. 9. That would be the office of Dr. Robert Leonard, described on his website as "New England's foremost authority on hair restoration."
Leonard's office wouldn't confirm if Brady was a patient, saying in a statement that, to protect patients' privacy, "We don't comment on, confirm, deny or otherwise discuss matters related to our client list." But if Brady is having hair restoration, Konior said it's highly unlikely he's doing it with five weeks left in the regular season and the playoffs looming.
A call to Brady's agent, Don Yee, wasn't immediately returned.
Why is Tom Brady's hair in the news so often?

is it bad that I like portions of the Katy Perry album?
December 1st, 2010 at 9:32 AM ^
Not as long as the portion you like is the cover.
December 1st, 2010 at 9:35 AM ^
Certain portions of the cover have peaked my interest more than others....
December 1st, 2010 at 10:09 AM ^
Though I understand if a peek at those peaks would pique.

i understand the difference between peak and piqued. apparently my joke fell on deaf ears.

My wife got angry when I stopped on it on THE CHANNEL GUIDE.
It's cool though... we're only married until I die.

But, yes.

If anything, Tom is probably donating some of his beatuiful locks of hair

Male pattern baldness is a very serious issue for all of us.
December 1st, 2010 at 9:39 AM ^
I think you're going for 'off-topic'.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:38 AM ^
My advice: Shave it all off. My spouse did this and went from "Bummer, he's losing his hair" to "Cool; he kinda looks like a felon." In a good way.
YMMV.

Why is Tom Brady's hair in the news so often?
Because people like you post about it, link to it, and generate web traffic for the sites that report about it.

December 1st, 2010 at 9:43 AM ^
Man, his hair looks so plastic. Like a Mr. Potato Head piece that he just stuck into the top of his head.
December 1st, 2010 at 9:55 AM ^
This is such an anti RR thing to post.

That photo needs those cool glasses or whatever they are.

this isn't so crazy. he's that age.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:00 AM ^
But he still has a job all of us would love to have. He makes more money in a year than the vast majority of us could dream of earning in our lifetimes. He wakes up in the morning next to one of the most beautiful women in the world, who is also, by most accounts, a really cool person. Uh, and even bald, he's still better looking than you. So don't feel too sorry for him.

can save some hair from his next cut to make hair weaves for Tom.

I have a friend who claims to be going for the Brady look, and it's becoming more and more obvious it's in response to some thinning at the crown of the head. Sometimes you just need to accept things in life...

Are you going to argue with her?

A dermatologist once told me that, yes, we all are, at least to some small degree. His general rules of thumb were something like this:
* Once you get to be early 20s, the percent of your (chronological) peers that have significant snow on the mountaintop (that is, missing chunks) is roughly the same as your age.
* Generally, the earlier it starts, the faster it goes.
* An aesthetic side note: The "zero" look tends to make 20-somethings look older, is neutral for 30-somethings, and makes the 40+ group look younger.
It all made sense to me, anyway.

I started losing my hair when I was 19. Just embrace it. Once you pass about 27, women stop caring about it. It's a sign of excess testosterone. Gisele isn't going to care.

Yeah, my dad and all my uncles went bald by the time they were 25, so I grew up knowing that no matter what battles I fought the war was already decided. Blurgh.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:26 AM ^
Dammit, double post. Sorry.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:54 AM ^
If you're into a hot girl, and you somehow find out (a photo, meeting him, etc) that her dad is bald, and you share that characteristic.... you are so money. Via con Dios.

So that beautiful hair...it's just one big lie????

The Andre Agassi autobiography last year was notable for several revelations:
1. He had a very tough relationship with his dad.
2. He really ended up hating tennis at times and doesn't have a court at his home.
3. He was wearing a wig when he lost his long hair and was paranoid about anybody finding out. This reached the point where during a grand slam match, he worried more about his wig slipping than the next point. Finally he decided it wasn't worth it and just went with the shaved look.
The Enquirer is hardly the journal of record but for weird stuff, it has been strangely accurate.

Does he have a website devoted to his hair?

My blue hat distracts from balding head.

I hope that his helmet wasn't rigged (or wigged) like Gallagher's cap.
