So hopefully we're all over not landing Suter. Minnesota is more than welcome to jack their salary cap up for the next 13 fiscal calendars.
Who will the Red Wings sign? It was painfully apparent to everyone from Ken Holland all the way down to my six year old cousin in Detroit that after this last year, we REALLY needed some retooling. I honestly don't see a back up goalie and three 3rd/4th line forwards as retooling.
The defense is an area of concern as well, something the Wings have done close to NADA to remedy as of yet. The only point of consolation I can find is that noone else in our division has made a big splash. There have been a few signings and re-signings but nothing major.
So, who do we land?
Semin? Doan? Langenbrunner? Knuble? Roszival? Hannan?
Nash and Ryan are both still out there.
What does the board think? Are we going to move on any of these guys? How upset will you feel if we literally just bite it and don't make any other major moves?
I have to say this week was pretty anticlimatica and frustrating. How does it get better for us Wing Nuts?
