OT: Miles Bridges roasts bad MSU fan
Click through to read the background. For this reason and his career record against Michigan, I nominate Miles as an honorary resident of Ann Arbor.
Whatever.
Are you considered an alum if you never graduated?
If you donate millions of dollars, you can be anything you wanna be.
Actually, yes. Definition of alumnus: a person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university
Yes.
I had the same question when I saw this over at RCMB yesterday so I googled it. Any former attendee can be called an Alumni. The more specific phrase would be "Non-graduate Alumni".

Super-pedantic response here.
Alumni is the plural form of the masculine singular "alumnus."
Almnae is the plural form of the feminine singular "alumna."
Miles Bridges is an alumnus. Former basketball players are alumni.
That girl you used to date who graduated from msu is an alumna. She and her msu sisters are alumnae.
...or amoebas
+1 the only quibble that i can possibly make with this post is that i didn't get here first
Alum is the stuff used in many Looney Tunes cartoons to shrink stuff.
Alum
a colorless astringent compound that is a hydrated double sulfate of aluminum and potassium, used in solution medicinally and in dyeing and tanning.
The first and only time hearing about alum until your post was a former coworker saying hookers use it to, um, tighten up a bit down there...
You can find it in deodorant too, if I am not mistaken, and it is approved as an additive in food as well. Stiptic pencils contain aluminum sulfate, I think.
In fact, a form of alum was one of the earliest deodorants ever used, and is still widely used today in some countries. In the US, you wouldn't typically find it in the deodorants sold in the regular drugstore or grocery store aisle; its use is mainly confined to alternative health products.
Oh, and as an aside, if you happen to have any Tagalog-speaking friends, they will likely get a kick out of the name "Tawas City." Just tell them everything smells good there. ;)
Alum can also be used when making pickles to keep them crisp.
The Michigan Difference on display, right here...
I thought the proper term was couch-arsonist
A group of former students could be called "alumni".
If we claim Phelps, they can claim Bridges. Pretty sure Phelps took like 3 courses
I went to NYU and I'm a "Walmart Wolverine" when asked. I personally witnessed JH beat OSU after his promise.
They can all lick my asshole. UM is UM and you can love it or leave it.
Of all the ways to embarrass yourself in public, 'teh Twitter' is the most unforgiving
Enjoy your negs OP.
Maybe we need "lesspete".
We definitely need "lesspointlessmsucontent".
Aaaaaaaand that's how you know we've reached OT season
You can say that again
Aaaaaaaand that's how you know we've reached OT season
+1, and I would have disappointed if you hadn't done this.
I don’t know how to give points, but this made me laugh.
dude ..... there's RCMB for this type of content

Who cares.
Lets ignore politics, but have this?
Thank goodness we don't have any embarrassing fans like that! At least not until Maizen shows up on another account, which should be any day now...
HardcoreMichiganFan4Lyfe
Miles Bridges farted in the general vicinity of MSU fan! hahahah!
This thread is fucking stupid.
Guy goes snarky on social media about someone calling him out and you think he should be a honorary AA resident?
The fan was stupid, real dumb. There are stupid fans everywhere, including some Michigan ones. Our guys don't call them out, you just leave them alone and ignore them on twitter. Bridges is mostly just a kid still, so I'm not going hard on him for reacting, but I don't expect any Michigan player to do that, so why again does he deserve a medal for doing so?
I don't think there's anything wrong with reacting to a negative college fan every once in a while.
Too many people separate sports from reality on the internet so there's nothing wrong with some of them getting called out
It should never be newsworthy when one finds a turd while looking in a toilet.
Or in a cooler when you're in Columbus.
OT season blows.
U-M alumnus and fan here. Kind of don't care about Miles Bridges or Scott Petrowski. Most inane and pointless Twitter thread in my 40 years. Not feeling it.
(I'm not on the social mediums - did I do that right?)
My life is so much better post Twitter
Don't you have to graduate to be considered an alum? C'mon Miles.
Sparty drama on mgoblog. I guess it makes sense. They follow us more than their own teams.
Nobody roasted anyone here and the absolute obsession with MSU and OSU by people here is insane. Give it a rest. Nobody cares.
Does one have to graduate to be an alum?...apparently not, but I've never heard a non-graduate refer to themselves as an alum until now.
