I think it is more that we have to temper the discussion because of our recent record against both Cedar Point and Michigan Adventure. It's quite alright to believe that we could beat both of them, but we actually have to do that before we really ramp up the "they're done" or "the rivalry is as it should be" talk.

Still OT season and the OP is trying to solicit reviews from the the community here specifically. Yes he could go to their website or use yelp but I often trust and respect the mgoblog bretheren just as much, if not more, than review websites.
Besides he's asking for advice/opinions on something. Not a "Where is the UM bar in ____" type question with a finite and fixed answer.

Michigan's Adventure has added a lot of good rides in recent years as they are now a Cedar Fair property (same ownership as Cedar Point). They have some pretty good coasters, several which are smaller versions of the great CP coasters. The water park is a lot of fun too. It's well worth taking kids from that age up until teens and then they'll get really interested in the bigger rides at CP.

I also remember Pleasure Island, the previous local water park, no longer in business. They actually used all lake water instead of chlorinated water.
I am old.

Our school went there in high school for a beginning of the school year kickoff in the early 90's and clogged up the lazy river so bad, that we had jam piles of tubes and kids stuck under tubes almost drowning. Our school was told by park authority not to plan on returning in the future.
