sucks, especially if IU ends up making the B1G championship.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:00 PM ^
An injured Penix is nothing to fool around with.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:56 PM ^
IU offense will be impotent without Penix.
November 30th, 2020 at 1:07 PM ^
Sounds like a wrap for Penix.
November 30th, 2020 at 2:46 PM ^
IU's season has been "Bobbitted".
November 30th, 2020 at 12:04 PM ^
Damn! I really enjoyed watching the heart Indiana played with. Hope Nick Sheridan and Mike Hart can win with someone else at QB.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:07 PM ^
Based on last year, no they cannot
And they don't even have that experienced backup now. I have no idea who their backup is
November 30th, 2020 at 12:12 PM ^
Their backup is Jack Tuttle. He was pretty highly rated (top 200 in the composite) coming out of high school. Went to Utah for a year before transferring to Indiana. Has basically zero game experience but has the raw tools to be a decent player.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:52 PM ^
Jack Tuttle sounds like the name of a 1930’s QB for the Univ of Chicago
November 30th, 2020 at 1:17 PM ^
Ta-ta Tut-tle, you’re not Penix-ske material.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:04 PM ^
Well, that sucks for Penix, and also for Indiana. But at least we know, as Michigan fans, that something bad can happen to others, also... I just wish it hadn't happened to IU - I was genuinely happy for them as a football team.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:08 PM ^
IU was the poster child of bad things happening to a team other than Michigan
The joke was, "as bad as it is for Michigan, at least we're not Indiana"
Throw that out the window
November 30th, 2020 at 12:05 PM ^
Penix was beaten hard. Hope he can return to penetrating the hole and scoring a touchdown.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:05 PM ^
IU's 2020: Win the conference but lose their Penix.
Just watch.
November 30th, 2020 at 1:15 PM ^
What should it profit a man if he gained the whole world and lose his Penix?
November 30th, 2020 at 2:17 PM ^
c'mon Hoosiers! Get a grip!....on your, er not penix.....the back up....twattle!
November 30th, 2020 at 4:15 PM ^
Don't be surprised if their offense goes limp.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:06 PM ^
That's crummy.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:07 PM ^
I'm here for the dank Penix memes
November 30th, 2020 at 2:18 PM ^
....will those be on Sportscenter or Pornhub?
November 30th, 2020 at 6:41 PM ^
Shouldn’t that be Geauxbux?
November 30th, 2020 at 8:21 PM ^
He's an idiot Ohio State fan
November 30th, 2020 at 12:12 PM ^
Confirmed to be an ACL injury.
Third straight season that he's suffered a significant injury (ACL in 2018, shoulder in 2019, ACL again in 2020).
November 30th, 2020 at 12:18 PM ^
Terrible, terrible, terrible
Best Indiana team in god knows how long and Penix will make $0.00 for leading them the majority of the last two seasons. Hope he can come back and have any semblance of a career
November 30th, 2020 at 12:14 PM ^
Given that he immediately started slamming the ground and screaming "FUCK!" pretty sure he knew immediately.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:15 PM ^
Why should we care? No one gives a shit when half the team they support gets injured.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:19 PM ^
So what you mean is: "I really don't care do u?"
November 30th, 2020 at 12:26 PM ^
It's called basic human decency. And people here obviously care when Michigan players get hurt. Obviously they feel badly for the injured player and the effect it has on the team. They also are tired of hearing it as an excuse every single season. Poor recruiting and player retention have now made it such that any injury among several position groups means that Michigan is forced to play guys who are woefully unprepared.
Also, don't be a jerk in your quest to make some ill-conceived point.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:37 PM ^
Dudes having a great year on a once-in-a-generation Indiana team. It's ok to empathize with them
November 30th, 2020 at 12:28 PM ^
That's horrible for IU football and Penix. I love watching him play.
November 30th, 2020 at 12:36 PM ^
That sucks for Indiana. Legitimately one of their best teams ever(?) and now it's more or less over unless their back up comes in and exceeds all expectations
November 30th, 2020 at 12:38 PM ^
Yeah, that didn't look like a good injury when it happened. Tough for IU, especially since they really did look like the 2nd-best team in this conference with him.
November 30th, 2020 at 1:07 PM ^
this season simply wasn't worth playing at all. . .
November 30th, 2020 at 1:36 PM ^
sucks for the kid.
we'll always have that amazing stretch to beat PSU play. If only they could have scored once more against OSU. Would have loved to see OT in that game.
November 30th, 2020 at 3:31 PM ^
Didn't wrap it up.
November 30th, 2020 at 3:31 PM ^
Gimpy Penixless Indiana playing against a Northwestern team that lost to THIS MSU team in the B1G championship game would be the most 2020 thing I can think of.
November 30th, 2020 at 3:50 PM ^
Wish Penix well and disappointed in his premature termination.
November 30th, 2020 at 6:44 PM ^
November 30th, 2020 at 5:47 PM ^
..,and just how in the fuck would they make the championship game?
December 1st, 2020 at 6:34 AM ^
Ohio State may not be able to play the minimum number of games (as predetermined by the Conference prior to the start of this “season”) necessary for them to qualify for their division championship.
So far Indiana has been able to; I don’t think they’ve had any postponements or cancellations. Neither has Michigan, for whatever that’s worth.
November 30th, 2020 at 7:12 PM ^
Very sorry to hear this. Young man was playing so well, and the team was exciting. Man, that would suck if you were an IU fan, after catching fire. Hope gets well and bounces back quickly.
November 30th, 2020 at 9:22 PM ^
His Penix got cut short.
