Well, that sucks for Penix, and also for Indiana.  But at least we know, as Michigan fans, that something bad can happen to others, also...  I just wish it hadn't happened to IU - I was genuinely happy for them as a football team.

Third straight season that he's suffered a significant injury (ACL in 2018, shoulder in 2019, ACL again in 2020).

It's called basic human decency. And people here obviously care when Michigan players get hurt. Obviously they feel badly for the injured player and the effect it has on the team. They also are tired of hearing it as an excuse every single season. Poor recruiting and player retention have now made it such that any injury among several position groups means that Michigan is forced to play guys who are woefully unprepared.

Also, don't be a jerk in your quest to make some ill-conceived point.

That sucks for Indiana. Legitimately one of their best teams ever(?) and now it's more or less over unless their back up comes in and exceeds all expectations

Yeah, that didn't look like a good injury when it happened.  Tough for IU, especially since they really did look like the 2nd-best team in this conference with him.

Gimpy Penixless Indiana playing against a Northwestern team that lost to THIS MSU team in the B1G championship game would be the most 2020 thing I can think of.

Ohio State may not be able to play the minimum number of games (as predetermined by the Conference prior to the start of this “season”) necessary for them to qualify for their division championship.

So far Indiana has been able to; I don’t think they’ve had any postponements or cancellations.  Neither has Michigan, for whatever that’s worth.

Very sorry to hear this.  Young man was playing so well, and the team was exciting.  Man, that would suck if you were an IU  fan, after catching fire.  Hope gets well and bounces back quickly.
