Good for him, I am curious to see how this plays out. I liked Brian Flores and the Dolphins, and was shocked that he got fired. Guys who rattle off 7 game win streaks don't usually get fired, especially since Tua, supposedly their franchise QB, was hurt for about half the year.

There was something a bit curious in his firing though. The Dolphins suggested there was more going on beyond just wins and losses. I guess this law suit means we'll be learning much more from behind the scenes.

it's not even just the win or loss

against the crappy teams they still looked bad, just the lesser of two bad teams (note that these were almost all home games, too)

i don' think he should have been fired, but i definitely don't think a winning streak of slap fights with all of the worst teams in the league after their season's have already collapsed somehow entitles you to continue being head coach (after you had already lost 7 straight!)

So many ways to approach this ?

would I take $100,000 …

per kid who doesn’t take state-based testing to save school academic (draft) position?

I know one thing…if I did, I wouldn’t snitch.

The Ross stuff was mentioned in this but there is much more.

BIG NEWS: Fmr Dolphins coach Brian Flores files class action lawsuit against the NY Giants and the NFL, claiming racial discrimination.

Says he can prove Giants interviewed him as a "Rooney Rule" show after already deciding to hire Brian Daboll. https://t.co/WWyOvWm1Gs

Here's the real headline: Flores knows this because Bill Belichick mistakenly congratulated him, not Brian Daboll, three days before the interview. (images from the complaint) pic.twitter.com/sUWjXYWARn

Holy crap, if that tweet is real/accurate...

1. That's a smoking gun the interview process in NY was just for show. It certainly goes against the spirit of the Rooney Rule. I honestly don't know if it's an actual, suit-worthy violation - I'll leave that to others with more knowledge about the specifics of the process/rules.

2. WTF Bill Belichick? Are you that careless that you send personal messages to the wrong coach? And what are the odds that it would be to another candidate for the same position? All kinds of dumb there.

3. WTF Giants? Who in that organization is communicating with the head coach of an opposing team? Is that part of due diligence? Even if so, why would you let the enemy know who you're hiring ahead of time?

Ok, Ross is of course a Michigan guy and this could have weird repercussions on Michigan if, say, a stray blizzard were to prevent our coach from interviewing at one NFL team and another has to scramble to save face.

And some of the stuff there sounds plausible and difficult for Flores. Particularly the one I’m about to mention.

But the Belichick text thread is legit hilarious.
