OT: Braylon Edwards DUI (0.20 BAC)
Braylon Edwards, a Detroit native and former Michigan wide receiver who played 10 seasons in the NFL, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol last week in Scottsdale, Ariz., according to TMZ.
His BAC could've been way higher, but lucky for him he dropped half his drinks.
I did laugh. That's not his fisrt is it?
No. I mean, the guy even managed to get one in NYC, which I thought was impossible.
dblpost
At least Braylon had the common sense to hole up in The Winchester.

When will people stop driving drunk. He can easily afford a taxi.....
Also other things should be legal(but you can drive like an idiot on them too).

Is the DOUBLE!
How many DUIs is this for him? Just idiotic.
Windy as hell. Great comeback.
It was a great game, and only recently did the person whose reception I missed because of it finally fully forgive me for choosing Braylonfest over their wedding reception.
As for this story, sad to hear and hopefully Edwards gets the help he needs to avoid this in the future.
Probably the greatest sporting event I've witnessed live. Tough mistake, but I this isn't an all-out downward spiral... hopefully its the last for him.
Because he could not catch footballs very well.
He had/has a drinking problem.
Braylon was/is a headcase. Remember what he was like his first two years at Michigan? It was a constant headache for the coaching staff--like the time he showed up at the Spring Day festivities with a gigantic afro acting like a primadonna. Lloyd was righteously pissed. He spent a good number of pressers those years talking about how he and Braylon "weren't on the same page," etc., to the extent that the #1 jersey thing became the motivator to get him back on track.
Seems to me once Braylon lost that structure and intense focus on his behavior and leadership Lloyd provided, things fell apart. (Also kind of explains why he felt almost no loyalty to anyone after Lloyd--Lloyd was his guy.) Didn't help that he ended up in an NFL market that was inclined to hate him (he didn't exactly have a honeymoon in Cleveland), even with the kinds of charitable stuff he did for Cleveland kids and education and such. Things just seemed to fall apart for him. The inconsistencies that plagued his college career (basically, the dropsies and a bit of laziness) were magnified times a thousand in the league. Ergo, washed up career, wasted potential, etc.
And then the drinking... It's just sad watching him do this shit. He should be a superstar, and like so many also-rans, he's not.
Was he out killing people with Donte Stallworth again?
Is pretty impressive. That would qualify as Super Drunk in Michigan.
Drinks necessary for 0.20 BAC
8 hrs of drinking --> 18
6 hrs of drinking --> 16
4 hrs of drinking --> 14
2 hrs of drinking --> 12
my god how can people get behind the wheel after drinking that much; I wouldn't even be able to get in the car
The tolerance for alcohol by a chronic alcoholic is mind-boggling. Part of being addicted is it takes more and more to feel the same effects and to keep from feeling withdrawal effects.
I'd be too busy peeing to drive after drinking that much.
Officer: "where are you from?"
Braylon: "Lloyd Carr's University of Michigan"

Sorry for partying.
Sorry for partying.
I thought he was out of the league the last couple of years.
Nice guy who tends to make just absolutely awful decisions. What a shame.
Thats a lame BAC
Maricopa county is not a place you want to get a DUI. Welcome to Tent City and pink underwear, Braylon.
They feed the dogs more than the inmates - sounds right to me.
is going to be rotting in his own jail soon.
Good.
I'm not sure how he gets keeping getting re-elected. When I lived out there, not a single person I knew had voted for him, but he would won easily nonetheless.
How is that kind of treatment legal?
Braylon!!!!!!!!
Damn Braylon you need to get some help
He'll have a few days with Sheriff Joe to straighten him out. No place to be 2x the limit.
