Is he just tipping Terrell Lucas commitment announcement with the TL reference?
|9 weeks 2 days ago||VRBO Park City||
I have a Condo, VRBO in Park City. I will be there for a month so I am trying to figure out how to get my tickets...will call maybe.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||Sheriff Joe||
He'll have a few days with Sheriff Joe to straighten him out. No place to be 2x the limit.
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Amazing Coaching job||
Beilein and his staff continue to amaze. No moral victories and no pats on the back in the loss but this group, under sized and outmanned just simply doesn't quit. Great effort and a magician coaching!
|31 weeks 4 days ago||Options||
We have got a couple of good 3rd option scorers in the offense...need a 1 and 2. We're playing in a hurry, not fast. Everyone but Walton is playing a new role and this is going to be a project. At least we do have a coaching staff that can develop talent and put the pieces together.
This team needs a win badly!
|31 weeks 6 days ago||You're kidding right Adam||
Wow. These folks simply cannot admit when they're wrong. Michigan basketball certainly uses ipads including the girls team. As for the private jets, two years ago I was flying from San Jose to Phoenix after a few days at Pebble Beach.
Jim and his family were at the airport. It was a couple of weeks after the Super Bowl. The flight was delayed and my friends and I had a table in the bar. We gave up our seats to Jim and his family, including the nanny (in case Schefter is worried about baby sitting not being included). Our golf group all sat in first class, Jim and his family in Coach! I don't think private jets are a prerequisite for Jim.
As an aside, we did get to chat a little in the bar. You've never met a more genuine, down to earth guy than Jim...and yes he did give our group a "go blue" and thanked us profusely for giving him and the kids a spot to sit.
Regardless Jim's decision, he is a quality human being who won't be swayed by the trappings. As for Schefter, his writing is pure drivel.
|34 weeks 2 days ago||Same||
Same thing I did when he was hired. I haven't gone to a single game, haven't contributed 10 cents to the University and tell anyone who'd listen what a horrible hire he was/is.
I cannot see him surviving but then again, I couldn't see Michigan hiring him..

Five free throws (all in the 2nd half) on the night, versus 29 against Oregon. Free throw differential was the difference. Kids played their hearts out and after 5 games in 10 days, didn't have enough left to finish. These young kids are growing up and Chatman is on the verge...a few big hoops in the 2nd half turn-a-round.
Villanova returned 4 starters from a 29 win team and started all juniors and seniors. Belein will do his thing and this group will be tough too handle in 2015.

Personally, I hope so. His effort or lack thereof seems more fitting of the CFL.
|35 weeks 2 days ago||The Head coaching position||
Sorry Greg. The job is to win football games while graduating seniors. Take the PHD salary scale if your boss cn only do half the job.
|35 weeks 2 days ago||Financial Implications||
The cost of retaining Hoke far exceed the buyout and Hackett understands the math. He dug out a fact on graduation rates which Hoke speaks to every chance he gets as a means of stating Hoke isn't a total failure.
Hackett will fire Hoke (Hoke resigns) but leave him with his dignity in the process.
|35 weeks 3 days ago||Outcoached||
We have been outcoached by every opponent over at least the last two years. It is so sad to watch some of these kids play their hearts out with a coaching staff so inept.
It's also disheartening to see a few key players lay down and still see the majority of snaps. I maintain this is a talented team which is terribly coached.
Get on with the coaching search and cross your fingers that we do not have a ton of attrition.
|35 weeks 3 days ago||Enough already||
Dear Mr. Hackett
Please do the right thing and now. I really miss Michigan football and haven't seen any in the last three years. I do not except excuses and hopefully you don't either.
|35 weeks 4 days ago||Decisions||
Keeping Hoke will thwart recruiting this year, next year and going forward. Keeping Hoke will end the 100,000 attendance streak and ruin the financials of the athletic department.
Hackett and the regents understand this and as a result, he'll be gone after OSU. If somehow the excuses of "a young team, new system" are accepted, this will turn into a bigger debacle than it already is!.
|36 weeks 5 days ago||I'll do what I've done since||
I'll do what I've done since Hoke was initially hired...contribute no money to the university, attend no athletic events and continue to profess my disgust for hiring this incompetent buffoon.
And yes, I did contribute and did attend football games every year since the late 60's. I guess I was just an early "have a nice life" fan.
|36 weeks 5 days ago||Superb||
This sir, was suberb. The world of academia which professes diversity, opportunity and deep critical thinking all too frequently, practice none. Thanks Brian, for calling it out!
|37 weeks 3 days ago||horrific||
That was among the worst performances I've ever seen. Receivers can't catch or create separation. The only QB consistency is bad reads and equally bad throws. I love Devin but this is difficult to even watch and based on the stands, not all that many did.
|38 weeks 2 days ago||Academia||
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sam and Ira were spot on with their comments. While everyone was revelling in Schlissel's press conference and Brandon's demise, very few heard his words beyond I accepted "his resignation".
In the world of academia, code words like restore the balance, linkage to the community and I'll develop a better position on big time football mean sports are secondary at the university and must be de-emphasized.
Now I am not suggesting that Schlissel is naive enough to not understand the financial implications of sports to the university. Rather, he thinks it is a distant third to research and academics and maybe appropriately so.
We should watch carefully, how the AD selection process unfolds and to what extent Schissel imposes himself in the process and selection. More importantly, watch the Regents and their reactions as this unfolds.
If Schlissel has indeed become a Michigan Man in 110 days, he will understand the importance of football and make the appropriate investments to secure a winning football program. If he's simply mouthing the words, I sincerely hope the regents take the necessary steps to ensure his short tenure at Michigan.
|38 weeks 5 days ago||Hoke||
Make the announcement before the Ohio State game and under no circumstances, keep him associated with the program in any manner. All this "nice guy" stuff hasn't delivered and he needs to go away...far, far away!
|39 weeks 2 days ago||All BS||
Dantonio learned from Tressel. He is nothing more than an OSU semi slappy who fell into a good situation after mediocrity at Cincinatti. Yes they've won more than their share of late but at the end of the day, they struggle for identity.
Our buffoon head coach just made them relevant.
|39 weeks 3 days ago||Tent stakes||
Maybe we were erecting the tent over the circus Hoke calls Michigan football. Do the honorable thing and fall on your tent stake Brady.
|39 weeks 3 days ago||Circus||
Put a tent over this circus!
|39 weeks 3 days ago||Offense||
A line that doesn't run block or pass protect, receivers who can't catch or gain separation and running backs who miss the hole...other than that we're right where we want to be.
Must be the scheme
|39 weeks 3 days ago||Dreadful||
Eight weeks and counting. Hoke should have never been hired, should have been canned after the bowl game last year and now must absolutely go. Hoke simply is incompetent...a detriment not an asset. Go home Hoke!
|39 weeks 3 days ago||Pull the Pin||
There is no downside to shit canning Hoke right now. The offensive line hasn't made progress in three years, our receivers gain NO separation and make no tough catches, and our QB has simply lost all confidence.
We hired a buffoon and this is the end product.
|39 weeks 4 days ago||Offense||
Well oiled machine after two weeks to prepare. Two more great weeks of practices and we may get into the red zone.
|39 weeks 4 days ago||Oh hell no||
It has taken Hoke the better part of 4 years to create this mess...one game isn't going to get it done. Besides, after two weeks of great practices how could Hoke possibly engineer an upset. This is Hokes Bobby Williams day!
|40 weeks 1 day ago||Careful what you wish for||
The world of academia may not produce the intended outcome, especially when the leader doesn't know a football from a hockey puck. Ross needs to bite the bullet, help Sclissel form a search committee now, or this will turn into a complete cluster.
This cannot go on into December!
|40 weeks 1 day ago||Well Obviously||
I don't know about you but I'm brimming with confidence knowing Brady feels the team "practiced hard". Do the right thing Brady, go home and stay there!
|40 weeks 4 days ago||headsets||
I prefer Hoke not use a headset. The less involvement he has in the game, the better the kids opportunity to win. I was simply amazed, watching a variety of todays games, how far we are from being even an average football team.
The sooner the pin is pulled on Hoke, the better. He has been a wonderful fan with a great vantage point for every game and has earned 4 mil a year for doing so. Go home and pay to watch the games like the rest of us Brady.
